The building was quite old, but the inside has been renovated and is beautiful. Stayed on the first floor. We were accustomed to Western-style living in a pure Japanese-style room with only tatami mats and a Japanese desk, which was full of the Showa era, and it was too difficult for us, so we were asked to change to the second floor halfway through. There is an open-air bath with a room on the first floor, but it was a small cypress bath without a shower. It's tap water, not a hot spring, but it warms up quite a bit. I feel like I'm taking a drum bath in the mountains. The room on the 2nd floor was a shiny and renovated room, with 3 rooms and a shower room, it was very comfortable. The first floor is a normal futon, and it is a little difficult to sleep. The second floor is also a futon, but it feels like a Japanese bed and is comfortable. The large communal bath is larger for women and is not a hot spring, but the scenery from the window is good and you can relax. However, you have to bring towels with your room, and there are no lockers, so you can't bring valuables, smartphones, etc. There weren't many staff, and it felt like one person was doing various roles, but I could feel that they were doing their best to provide hospitality. It was nice to see that the cleaning was perfect everywhere. It's just an auberge, but the number of cooks seems to be small, so it seems difficult when the rooms are full. I thought it might be difficult to make a dish like that at that time. ”The best thing about this inn is the view from the window.” We recommend the second floor if possible. You can truly enjoy a bath in the mountains.

The room was clean and comfortable.
Since it is near the station, the number of parking lots is small and on a first-come, first-served basis (charged) car is recommended to check in early. However, there is a coin parking within walking distance.
The free breakfast was always crowded during the time, but I think it's okay if you have time to spare.
I had a good trip.
Check-in is 4 hours. When you arrive before that, you will get a cafe discount ticket (coffee or tea is 500 yen → 300 yen) in the hotel, so you will wait using it. You can stay cheaply, so it's not good to only put it after that time. Breakfast and dinner are not bad. There is a local dish, but there is a cooking dish, and it is 5 stage 3+ personally. The bath had a lot of washing places instead of a narrow dressing room. The open-air bath for women can only see the branches of the tree, but the bath in the inside and the open-air bath outside were just a bath with a good temperature. The cold spring was wet, so I put it in comfort. It is convenient to go to Shinkiyama asagao Sunshi Ji Temple, so I think I will use this hotel if I go again.
The environment is always clean, comfortable, sincere and full of washing bags, there is a soup, but unfortunately it was too tired that night. The person ordered four meals, dinner kaiseki cuisine, breakfast is an exquisite set meal. I can also help to make an appointment for a three-hour explanation of Falong Temple. Unfortunately, it is Japanese. I can't hold the Japanese level, and my son gave up without knowing Japanese at all. I highly recommend my friends to stay here.

Very good place. Renovated and w great clean Onsen. People are generally nice, friendly, helpful. Food is delicious. Warning: the hotel is in the middle of nowhere - you must dine at the hotel (99% deals are meals included). Some rooms are not barrier-free, not suitable for wheelchair or someone w mobility challenge. Some staff are not really customer friendly (former postal hotel approach). The price went up after the acquisition by the Mystays hotel chain. Hope they can remain as great affordable hotel.
The facility is quite old, but the rooms have been nicely renovated. The natural free-flowing hot spring for sale was still satisfying. I entered the public bath three times from the time I checked in at 16:00 to the time I checked out at 10:00 the next day. There is no doubt that being able to take a bath late at night, which is rare these days, will increase your satisfaction with the herbal medicinal bath and the abundant hot water flowing directly from the source. From the receptionist, the person who served the food, and the person who managed the bath, I was able to receive all the pleasant services.
