This small hotel is located in the south of Shizuoka Station. Basically Japanese people live in it. I booked a tatami room, which can accommodate 5 people. It is similar to a domestic store. I didn't chose the hotel but I loved it. Location was great, very convenient for the station, room was fine, front desk staff were kind and thoughtful. Enjoyed a better than average breakfast, included in the room rate. The whole experience was much more ”boutique” than ”chain” hotel. But the real glory of the place is the privileged access to the former daimyo's garden next door. Each morning at breakfast, the waitstaff encouraged me to step outside into the garden. On the third morning, I finally did it. What a lovely place! Japanese aesthetics at their best. And I had it all to myself. Would have been worth staying here just for the garden, but like I said, the hotel was good, too.

In a room with an atmosphere of a renovated old folk house, we had a plan with breakfast, but it was delicious. In the surrounding area, there was a hot spring with a beer bar (the fried rice bowl in the dining room inside was delicious), a stylish cafe, and a restaurant where you can eat as well as seafood. Nihondaira, Miho no Matsubara, and Shimizu Port (where we boarded a pleasure boat) may not be flashy, but I think it's an area where you can easily enjoy sightseeing. To put it bluntly, the pillows in the room didn't match (although we all have different tastes in the first place). Also, since it is an old folk house, it is easy to leak sound, so be careful. I felt that the room was especially pleasing to foreigners.

We reserved this charming accommodation for the last minute and far from us the idea of discovering a real private palace through its doors. Although this was a day unworked and the accommodation had a key box, the owner came to welcome us personally and made us visit this beautiful house. This house is perfectly suited to host a whole family, with several rooms, a beautifully equipped kitchen, a modern bathroom, a living room, a tea room, all decorated with tasty, comfortable, welcome and charming. We were looking for a fresh water bottle and a gamea ready to be prepared, and we were waiting inside to make a pleasant stay. Well served by public transport, allowing both to enjoy Miho no Matsubara and to join Shimizu, we have found here an ideal choice for our stay in the region and we valuably keep this address for the future research. A private house with a sense of security as if you visited a grandparent's house. Thank you for responding to sudden reservations immediately from the IC. I was surprised at the large number of rooms. However, the room on the second floor or near the entrance seems to be unable to reach the air conditioner on the first floor, so it seems that it cannot be used on hot days. The living room and kitchen were air-conditioned and comfortable. I was excited by the rare retro kitchen at this time. Although it is an old private house, it was well cleaned and there was no dust, and it was a hot summer time, but I couldn't find any insects. The bath and toilet were renovated so it was beautiful, and there was a convenience store immediately on foot and I was able to spend without any inconvenience. The outside was a village surrounded by mountains, the countryside was in front of me, and the stream was behind me, which was very peaceful. Also, because it is far from other houses, I didn't have to worry about the sound even with my baby. There was also a space where you could barbecue, and it was a good accommodation for making memories.

There is no hotel parking lot, so you have to go through the hassle of parking at a nearby paid parking lot (600 yen). The staff was friendly and the amenities were all provided, which was nice, but the shared bathroom was inconvenient.

Small, new and modern hotel without a physical desk with Check in and Check out on computer at the entrance. Room used for three with 2 beds and a futon on tatami. Small lounge area. Bathroom separated from the toilet with washing machine. Very comfortable. Very good bedding. Very functional and extremely clean. 2 nights there which were perfect. Many small restaurants around and close to the city center. No parking but small private and paid parking lots nearby.
