The hotel is a remodeled Japanese house and the whole environment is OK. The owner's predecessor is estimated to be a hunter, and the restaurant in the store has many animal specimens. The room is quite ordinary. There are two folding beds in the room, with air conditioning and heating. There are public toilets and places to wash outside the room. The public bath room has a hot spring pool of about 8 square meters, and the hot spring is quite good.
The owner is a couple aged about seven or eighty. The housekeeper's grandmother is very axes, can't speak English, and communication is difficult. When I left, I wanted to store my luggage temporarily. She was unwilling.
Because the next day was Saturday, the house price tripled, and I changed rooms.
It is more than 3 kilometers from Shiri-sapporo Station. It takes more than an hour to pull luggage on foot. It is very expensive to take a taxi and it costs about 2,000 yen.
Among the amazing qualities about Tamakiya are its staff, the food, the rooms and most definitely, the wonderful onsen water that blesses the Matsunoyama area. First, the staff — courteous, competent, warm & friendly, thoughtful… I could go on! It’s always a joy to watch people good at their work, do that work. The food is amazing. Pairing courses on offer by the Michelin-level hospitality offer you the chance to experience their expert level knowledge of (for example) Japanese sake paired with multiple course French cuisine dinner .. I love it every time I go! The rooms are all different, with different points to appreciate, that cover a range of pricing. All rooms are comfortable, modern interior designed and have a private outdoor bath space... I’d stay a full week if I could!! The actual onsen water of the region is famous in Japan as one of the country’s most well-known ‘medicinal’ onsen spas, and for over 800 years has served as a healthful and natural remedy for countless visitors. Tamakiya combines the restorative qualities of the water with their specialized hospitality and service to provide its guests with a wonderfully satisfying getaway experience! 110% recommended!
The Minshuku Mirai is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Minshuku Mirai offers a pleasant stay in Tokamachi for those traveling for business or leisure. Matsudai Station is located approximately 900m away from this hotel. Seeing Tokamachi's sights from this hotel is easy with Matsudai Family, Echigo-Tsumari Art Field and [D247]Matsudai Historiy Museum all close by. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings.
It is an inn located a little far from the Matsunoyama Onsen town. It is an inn of a member of the association that protects the secret hot springs of Japan. The main building is said to be a registered tangible cultural property, and it is a quaint wooden building. Walking down the corridors and stairs, you will hear a nostalgic sound of ”miss”. Not everything is old, and the shared toilets and washrooms are new and clean. I was expecting a bath because it says ”secret hot spring” ... The bath crosses the corridor and is located in the ”new building”. It's far. Also, since it is a reinforced building, it has no taste like the main building at all. Perhaps because of the corona, the futon is laid out in advance, so the desk is cleaned up on the side, and the room feels small. The large and medium baths are men and women exchanged, and they change before and after dinner. If you don't take a bath at least once before dinner, you'll lose either. In addition, there are few washing places in the middle bath, and there is no drainage groove near the faucet which seems to have been extended later, and the shampoo and soap flow as it is to the washing place around it, and it feels a little disgusting. The family bath is not watered, so it's very hot, but if you want to enjoy the source, I would like to take it once during my stay. The food was delicious mainly with wild plants.
If you're staying overnight, we recommend a room at Tanadakan. The modest course meal was perfect for the elderly. And, from the open-air bath early in the morning, you can really see the sea of clouds and it's enchanting! This is a view you can only see if you stay overnight. Although it didn't have the luxury of a luxury inn, the service was just right and the staff were kind and pleasant. The transportation from the station was flexible and I was very satisfied with the reasonable price. It can also be used as a day trip hot spring, so you can stay even after checking out without any additional charges.
I didn't rent a car on this trip, so I wasn't sure if I should stay at an inn near the station, but I'm glad I chose this inn because they also picked me up from the station. There are various dishes using local seasonal ingredients for rice, and alcohol has progressed. When I come back and look at the photos from the trip, I remember wanting to eat it again. I visited in autumn and had various mushroom dishes, but they were delicious, so I wanted to try the wild vegetable dishes in spring. The inn was very nice, the bath was good, and I was able to spend a very comfortable and relaxing time. I looked it up on the web before my trip, and it seems that several inns at Matsunoyama Onsen are working together to develop local cuisine, create an information website, invite famous chefs, and so on. I came back thinking that such an atmosphere is everywhere and creates a good feeling.
Gaojian Plateau Hotel is a very recommended hotel. The breakfast is rich and you can eat different wild vegetables in Niigata. The water quality of the soup is excellent, and the relief effect is good for the soreness of the limbs. Near the golf course, for the golfers, you can play and vacation. It is a hotel that will want to visit again.
The facilities are relatively old and the service attitude is very good.
Breakfast is very cost-effective. It is convenient to shop and eat in the shopping street nearby. We visited in January. It was after the heavy snow. It seemed to be snowy mountains everywhere. 🏔️
