Clean and quiet hotel away from busy street. Great for road trip. Accessible via own drive. The hotel is located Up a slope so the view is really nice of the lake Toya. Nearby amano family farm where you can go for pizza and ice cream. No escalator if you stay on 2nd floor. There’s also a massage chair and free green tea
On the first day I arrived, I felt that the decoration and layout of the entire hotel room and the hotel area created an ancient Western pine forest environment. Staying here can definitely feel the tranquility of nature and make people feel relaxed physically and mentally.
The room has a terrace facing Lake Toya, offering a panoramic view of the entire lake. The bathroom has a large glass window that also faces the center of the lake, so you can enjoy the beautiful lake view while taking a bath.
Both breakfast and dinner are eaten in the hotel restaurant. The store manager cooks the treats himself. I chose Western style for dinner. The first bowl, soup, main course, and dessert are all in eight degrees. Everything is beautiful and beautiful. Can't record everything. Finally a cup of hot coffee. Perfect and endlessly memorable.
Check out after breakfast the next day. The store manager took the initiative to drive us to Toya JR Station. Very thoughtful.
All in all, this hotel brought us a freshness and surprise that we had never experienced before; an alternative experience. Give it a 100-point rating and deserve it.

The owner was very friendly. He bought us welcome gifts. He even informed us about the weather around the area. The scenery was fantastic as well, as you are greeted by lake toya the minute you step out of the house.
Overall it was a great experience and the owner was very hospitable and friendly, I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone interested in visiting lake toya or Niseko.

LLoner TravellerThe view on Lake Toya from the hotel was spectacular. We were lucky to have witnessed the cloud sea and sunrise. From the other angle, we could see the full view of Mt Yotei, also known as Hokkaido Fuji. There are few restaurants in the hotel, including the Japanese, Chinese, French, and the Italian. There was also good onsen in the hotel, both idoor and outdoor. We will definitely come back to stay again in the future.
TTanValerieGreat stay if one has a relatively generous budget $$ to experience Japanese hospitality, a slightly more luxurious feel of a holiday. Hospitality, housekeeping, sauna, and the buffet dinner was excellent! Views from the rooms looking out into Lake Toya was also no doubt magnificent! Great views across the lake for avid joggers in the morning!
GGuest UserGreat view for our room and at night I see fireworks from our window. Room is big but a bit old. Bathroom is too small and tiny. Lobby and waiting room areas are nice , clean and comfy. Staffs in the morning are great . They can speak English. No much going on the main street , most shops aren’t open. Behind the hotel has an amazing view of the Toya Lake and in a distance you see Mt. Youteizon. A very relaxing walk and cruise ship comes and goes. We will come back for our vacation in the future.
TTumamayThe whole room is in tatami style. I changed into slippers on the first floor and went barefoot when I entered the room, which was another good experience. The room has a kettle, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc. There is no bathroom, but there is a hot spring on the underground first floor, which solves the problem of taking a bath. The rooms are all lake view rooms. It feels great to live on the fifth floor. It's still in time to see the boat coming and go down.
GGuest UserClean and luxurious stay at this modern hotel. Like other reviews mentioned, there are some features that may be less than ideal (faucet fixed too near to bottom of sink making it hard to use, shower door unable to close fully and the bath area is open concept). Location is about 20mins away from where the other hotels are and where fireworks can be viewed. Overall a very nice hotel with impeccable service and touches (lovely yukata plus in-room toiletries/ amenities) but be mindful those as well as the modern design are what you are paying a premium for.
EEuricyThis is an extremely nice and highly recommended hostel if you stay in Akan;
The room, the meal and the onsen are so worth for you to spend the amount.
SsomchartAt the time we stay in Toya Kohen tai hotel. We got rooms face to the Toya Lake, very nice senery and can see the beautiful lake and mountains. Hotel provide free parking space for the guests. Public Onsen at 9floor very convenience and open all day except 1-2am. Stop for cleaning,it's very nice and clean. Hotel's buffet is good foods and great view
We stayed in the japanese style rooms, hotel are only prepared for the mattreess sets, we have to set up our own staying beds
. We like this hotel.
HHau Fat Benjamin ChuThis is a hotel which look like from the 80s of last century. The location is very nice which is situated in the front of the lake. Apart from that, everything looks so old. The room which I stayed was big bu which is on the first floor close the the onsen and public toilet. Some people always talk outside so that the room is not quiet all the time.
The window of this room is facing the lake. However, due to the privacy, a lot of plants blocking the view of people walking pass the room. It makes the room a little dark and no view.
Moreover, the aren't enough plug for charging device too.
GGuest UserWe absolutely loved staying here. We had a large Japanese style room with a view of the lake. You could watch the fireworks and see the sunsets. The hotel is set slightly apart from the other main hotels which is a positive. The baths were never busy and there was a small outdoor bath. We really enjoyed our stay here
