Basilica of Our Lady of Guanajuato
Cchinadesk1Mexico City Metro Line 6 (Red Line) to LA VILLA is the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. On weekends, before nine o'clock, local people brought their elderly and children, and some were in wheelchairs. Many adults came to baptize their babies. After getting off the subway, there is a road leading to the church, and shops on both sides of the road sell religious items. There are two old and new Basilicas of Our Lady in the courtyard. The old church is solemn and elegant, with stained glass windows, arches, and fine carvings, showing a strong religious color everywhere. The new church next to it is spacious and large in area. The roof is like a giant blue umbrella. There are no pillars in the hall, just like a music hall.
Monumento al Pipila Guanajuato
DD了个YI'm here# Pipila Monument Observation Deck
A monument to a local hero. Because of its height, it is the best location to overlook the entire Frog City. As the saying goes, only when you climb high can you see far, which widens the perspective. The so-called colorful scenery is particularly obvious at this time. There are many ways to climb high. You can hike, take a taxi, or take the cable car next to the Juarez Theater like I did. Anyway, it's a different experience. It is recommended to watch the sunset in the evening. The lights in the city gradually light up and the stars are twinkling. It's a pretty good experience
The Alley of The Kiss
读读万卷书;行万里路Located in the northwest of Guanajuato's old town, about ten minutes' walk from the Church of Our Lady, it is actually just a very narrow alley. Because the two buildings are very close, people can even kiss each other on the balconies on both sides. It is said that there is a local love legend, but it seems that this place is widely known because of Coco.
Teatro Juarez
乖乖小咪The Juarez Theatre is located in the heart of Mexico City, which has been more than 200 years old and is a colonial building. The entrance to the theater is a small square, which is very crowded with tourists and many street performances. The interior of the theater is very luxurious, with a sense of luxury in a European noble palace. There are often some classic operas staged here, if you have the opportunity, don't miss it.
Plaza de la Paz
乖乖小咪Guanajuato's Peace Square is the busiest square in this ancient city. Many old buildings in Guanajuato are around this square. Citizens often sit and rest in the square. They just watch the tourists quietly, and feel that life is very relaxed. There are also frequent street performances on the streets, which are very exciting and worth appreciating.
Museum of the Mummies of Guanajuato
MM25***40While feeling excited, I also felt a little scared, but fortunately there were many tourists visiting together, so the fear was greatly reduced. It would be better if there was a tour guide, so that I could understand more.
Subterranean Streets
TtravelerererSee the colorful world Guanajuato in Mexico, once famous for its silver mines, is now popular around the world because of the movie "Coco". As the prototype city of the movie, the colorful colors here are called "God's overturned palette". What also attracts me is the optimistic attitude of people facing death. Almost people all over the world are taboo about death, but only Mexicans talk about it with relish. They make fun of death and celebrate death. The skulls that can be seen everywhere are one of their favorite design elements. As the line in the movie says, "Death is not the end of life, forgetting is." The happiest thing in this life is that I remember you, and you have never forgotten me.
Jardin de la Union
MM25***40It's a lovely garden to walk around, people watch, listen to music, have a drink or eat, the atmosphere is great in the evening. There are many very good restaurants but the best is probably Luna Bar, the food is delicious.
