A Fantastic Stay at Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Holiday Inn JBCC, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Location: The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Johor Bahru, right above Komtar JBCC Mall and within walking distance to City Square Mall and the immigration checkpoint to Singapore. This made it incredibly easy to explore the city and enjoy shopping, dining, and entertainment options nearby. Rooms & Comfort: The rooms were modern, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. I particularly loved the large windows with a stunning city view, which added to the overall ambiance. The in-room amenities, such as a smart TV, coffee-making facilities, and a spacious bathroom, were thoughtful touches that enhanced the stay. Service & Hospitality: The staff at Holiday Inn JBCC were outstanding—friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and efficient. Special mention to the front desk and housekeeping teams for their warm hospitality and attention to detail. Dining Experience: The hotel’s restaurant served a fantastic breakfast buffet with a variety of local and international options. The quality of food was excellent, and the dining area was spacious and well-lit. The rooftop bar was another highlight, offering a great place to unwind with a drink while enjoying panoramic views of Johor Bahru. The hotel needs a renovation and update with the interior. The room (Premier King) is very spacious but the space is not properly utilized. TV is very small. Wall scones are almost falling and sanitary wares are old. WiFi inside the room is okay. The aircon and mini bar fridge are old but still working very well. There were hairs in the bathroom when I checked in. For breakfast, the pancake (Jan 29th) and Apam Balik (Jan 30th) are very very delicious as well as the dimsum. The water melon however tastes like onion (Jan 30), I suspected it was the knife they use to cut the watermelon. The hotel has so much potential if renovated. I just noticed they are not observing safety as they are using the ledge in the corridors to make a temporary rack for towels and rugs while the housekeeping staffs are cleaning the rooms. These might fall on the atrium which might harm someone below.

Musky smell in the entire building, dim lighting and pretty shady looking from the outside. Small room. Bedsheets weren’t very clean and some stains were visible. Toilet is bare minimum.

There is free parking which is good. Room and bed super clean. However needs a kettle, mini fridge to make it complete. Booked a room that stated it has window but they ran out of rooms thus got the one without windows which is really small. Really just need a kettle and mini fridge. Suitable for a night stay maybe. Hair dryer is almost as good as No hair dryer. This hotel has potential if the amenities are better. But overall a very clean place.

Good location, responsive room service, clean and comfortable room, fast check out. It was an excellent stay. Located at city centre and therefore offers quiet surroundings for good rest. Room design is contemporary and I like it a lot.and sure will go again 👍👍

Location is superb. Host is superb. Sofa bed need to change. No more sponge. Toilet need to refresh. Old and not so clean: The rest is ok!

didn't think there was a hotel surrounded by a vast palm oil plantation... a peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of the city. provide cabins selling food to facilitate the stay while waiting for the children to bathe in the pool. very reasonable price. spacious and clean room. spacious parking area. will come again and tell friends.
