We stayed at this hotel on the eve of the Chinese New Year, choosing a beach location near Kuala Lumpur.
Pros:
The best beach on the island (Coral Beach) is a couple of minutes walk. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly. There is no special exotic atmosphere in the hotel, but it is cozy and quiet. The room is spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool. The equipment is a little tired, but the staff responds promptly. The sockets are UK, but you can get an adapter from reception. The contingent of guests is pleasant, mostly family and not noisy. There are many seafood cafes nearby, the food is delicious and inexpensive.
Flaws:
Breakfast is very poor and boring. There is a choice of 4 sets + salad bar. Although the location of the hotel is not bad, you will have to take a taxi to get to the exchange office and the pharmacy. The selection in nearby shops is poor. In duty free there is only chocolate. It is almost impossible to buy fruit, and those that are sold are absolutely tasteless.
Adviсe:
Do not book on weekends - crowds of locals. Monkeys come to the hotel, so nothing can be left unattended on the balcony or in the pool. If you like to drink, it’s better to take a bottle of wine, whiskey, etc. with you. You can't buy anything on the island except beer. The sea is warm and calm, but there are strong low tides that go far. Something is constantly biting in the water, either melusa larvae or plankton - we still don’t understand.

Arrived around 2.15pm and the check in was smooth. They collected deposite RM200. Spacious and modern villa (semi D). both villa can connect using connecting door if you in large family. If you stay in apartment area then the pool is nearer. Overall it was a good experience. Monkeys will come around but they dont disturb you.

LLandeI recently had the pleasure of staying at Pankor Laut Resort, and it has quickly become one of my favorite destinations. The island itself is stunningly beautiful and a relaxing atmosphere that is hard to beat.
One of the highlights my stay was the incredible selection of restaurants available on-site. Each dining experience was a delight, with food that deserves a solid 5-star rating. The variety of choices ensured that there was something for everyone, and I enjoyed every meal!
The hotel management deserves special recognition for their dedication to providing outstanding service. They truly go above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome and taken care of. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile.
Our room was immaculate and incredibly comfortable. The cleanliness was impressive, and the bedding was top-notch, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring.
Having stayed in many hotels before, I can confidently say that Pankor Laut Resort ranks number one on my list. They excel in every aspect of hospitality—friendliness, cleanliness, breathtaking scenery, and fantastic food.

BBOON TECKWell, I totally enjoyed my stay here. The building, landscaping, location overlooking the sea with direct view of Pulau Pangkor, made good first impressions both from the lobby, kitchen lawn and my room at the higher foot. I felt relaxed the moment I entered the hotel premise.
The staffs from the time of reception to departure, including the Makan Kitchen and maintenance staffs, all are very professional, friendly and made mecfeel much welcomed. The whole hotel are well maintained and clean despite being a refurbished before. Even the flies did not cause much problems because of the use of fly repellent fan on each dining table in the Makan Kitchen. In fact there was hardly any fly in the restaurant. There was a wide range of food during breakfast, which was fresh and delicious especially when we were the earlier guests in the restaurant in the morning.
The room was clean, well maintained and has all that I need.
This was a pre CNY season so the decoration and background CNY music gave me a festive joy.
I am quite a picky person as far as hotels are concerned and I would not hesitate to give my visitor’s rating of 4+/5 to Double Tree by Hilton in Damai Laut. Even the location is superb, with stunning view of Sg Sempit and at The View. Keep up your good work 🤩.

AAdaFantastic experience staying here!! Staffs were nice, love the decor concept of ship and pics around Pulau Pangkor. If you’re lucky, hornbill can even be seen nearby. Breakfast buffet was simple but just enough for us. Beach just across the street. Can get late lunch and even late dinner across the street as well. Recommended laksa! Perfect for family with small children, so convenient nearby town and the jetty. Rm15 for pink taxi here.

IIskandar HidayatTruly good place to stay with its own private beach. The Pasir Bogak Beach is not that crowded like Teluk Nipah Beach. But, if u want to feel the scenery at Teluk Nipah, u can take a 5 minutes ride on scooter & the pink van.

However, if you're a light sleeper, it might be a bit challenging as you can hear kids running outside early in the morning, and at night, noise from the next room, especially if there are loud guests or children, can be disturbing. Despite that, the experience was fantastic. As for breakfast, I had it for two days— the first day wasn’t great, but the second day was fantastic, so the food quality seems to depend on luck.

MMohamed AsgerI go to coral Bay twice a year and take hotel room. First time taking apartment and very bad experience with noise especially with neighbours. Bathroom water was very little. Uncomfortable beds. Our breakfast was also a failure this round. Next time no more apartment. Only hotel rooms.

Unpleasant experience that the bathroom had visible mold, and there was a strong smell lingering in the air that even spread into the room. Additionally, the bedding caused skin irritation, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. Hope management takes immediate action to improve Hygiene standards.

GGuest UserThis is my first trip to Pangkor Island. I had book this hotel last minute in Agoda after I bought the ticket for last ferry 7.15pm from Marina to Pangkor. I had choose this hotel because I had see the review is not bad with 5star review for all the review in year 2020 and they rank 5th for overall best hotel in Pulau Pangkor. When I arrive at the hotel, there is nobody there for me to do the check in. I am thinking the staff maybe out to buy or having their dinner. But after a while 2 of the staff is back in the property and told me they are not expecting any guest so they went out to buy dinner. After thinking a while, it is not surprise as they not expect anyone today. First I only do the booking not long ago so they may not had received the email from Agoda. Second, today Malaysia recorded the highest day for people infected with Covid-19. As this 2 reason, they sure will not expecting any guest for the day. But this not concern me at all, because I am having great time while staying at this hotel. Below are all the reason which I will highly recommend this hotel to who had read my review here. 1. The hotel rate is reasonable. The room is chalet/villa type which the room rate is cheap. 2. This hotel had been newly renovated so it is cosy to stay. Please do not read any review before year 2020. They had renovated the hotel in 2020, all the furniture is new and the stay is cosy. 3. The staff and management is very friendly. They will assist you in what they can. 4. There is a fews bicycle to use for free at the hotel. 5. The location is very good. Walking distance to the Pasir Bojak Beach. And there is a lot of Chinese and Malay restaurant nearby. (Fully recommend “Chao Seng Seafood Rstaurant” nearby) 6. There is a few motor bike or car rental outside the hotel which for sure will be convenient for you to ride around the island. (Recommend to take a bike and you can ride the bike for island tour) I feel so relax and happy for my 3d2n trip while staying at this hotel. Will come back to stay here for my next trip to Pangkor Island again. Again, Tripadvisor had not disappointed me when I am searching for a hotel stay to a place which I am not familiar. I hope with my review I can make this property to more higher ranking so that everyone will be happy to discover this hotel.

NNaz Kamala quick one night stay with affordable price. one way to teluk nipah. not so distance but need transportation to get from jetty to the hotel. comfy bed, clean shower. coffee, tea & hot water at the lobby, but accessable up to 10:30 p.m. only. there's duty free shops, convenience store nearby - just a walk away.
