The room is relatively new, simple and practical. The bed is a low bed that is slightly higher than the tatami. The bathroom door is relatively low, and I often hit my head on it. Even if I close the sliding door of the viewing balcony, some small insects often enter the room, which is quite annoying. In addition, there is moisture, and the sheets and quilts are a little damp, but it is acceptable. Advantages: There is a balcony with a large floor-to-ceiling window and a mountain view. You can watch the sunrise from your bed in the morning. Unfortunately, it was cloudy that day and I didn't see the wonderful sunrise. I fell asleep to the chirping of insects at night and it was foggy.

Excellent
AAppleEverything was excellent but only complaint is room would be better if provided with hair dryer.
VVeraA simple spacious room with shared bathrooms in a lodge, with a hotel nearby where you can eat (not cheap but very nice and with excellent views of Mt Kinabalu). Clean bathrooms with good hot water showers. Really worth it if you are doing the full summit hike. I wanted to explore the park around and would have been better off staying near Poring hot spring.
KKhid AhmadLocation is very nice. Near to Kundasang village.
The hotel is recently renovated.
The view from the room is amazing.
There's a dinner buffet offered during our stay which is during Ramadan. They also cater Sahur or early breakfast.
Parking also not a problem.
Scenery around the hotel also very nice.
Overall very recommended place to stay if you visit Kundasang.
GGuest UserI will definitely come again next time I have the chance!
The hotel is in an excellent location and has a very high cost-effectiveness! The locals who chartered our car all said it was good! You can overlook Mount Kinabalu, which is especially beautiful in the morning and evening. The cabins complement the natural scenery! The beds are clean and the rooms all have large balconies. The store has cats and dogs, they are gentle and friendly, and the dogs will escort you when you go out to climb the mountain. The boss is of Chinese descent, fluent in Chinese, and kind-hearted. Seeing that we have a family and it is inconvenient to have no car, he helped us buy bread and shared dinner. He insisted on not charging money and just said that we were visitors from afar.
Check-in precautions are as follows:
Animals: Most of the local cats and dogs in Mount Kinabalu are free-range and are more free to go out. It is difficult to tell whether they are stray or not. Although most of them are friendly, it is best to keep quiet, polite and keep a safe distance when encountering cats and dogs.
Food and Beverage: The hotel sells instant noodles and snacks. There is a dining table on the large terrace and you can borrow bowls and chopsticks, but there is no catering service.
Transportation: It is more convenient to have a car to travel to Mount Kinabalu, but driving in the mountains requires driving skills, car condition and power. We chartered a car for two days, including pick-up and tours. We did not charter a car for one day and rested in the hotel.
Facilities: Don't expect too much from the hotel's hardware and software. For example, the curtains in our room seemed to have been damaged by the previous guests and have not been replaced or decontaminated. The main purpose of coming to the mountains is to experience the natural scenery.
CCallybbSuitable for families.Room is huge and wifi provided, wifi connection strong too . Location just nearby with hot spring and not far from the stay(unless u guys planning going Poring Hot Spring and may choose to stay here ,sure no regret .)Some people might think its far but i prefer here. The environment so peaceful ,away from road jam . Parking space also provided which big area there .When we checked in late, owner will whatsapp their location map ,owner prepared a lot of local foods and bbq fish .Owner so friendly and inviting all having dinner together . We stayed there for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Highly recommended . No worries .Use waze and it will guide you there .
AAnonymous UserYou can see the mountain from the room balcony. Will surely come back to enjoy that view again. Room was clean. The bathroom is outside (next to the balcony), so at night when you want to bath, bugs and moths will be everywhere.
AAffiq ParthiOur stay here was absolutely magical!
The weather was perfect—chilly and pleasant, with a nice breeze. Since we’re used to hot weather, it was like a dream come true.
The reception area was huge and right next to it was a great restaurant that served delicious Nasi Goreng. There were plenty of parking spaces, and the resort itself was clean and well-maintained.
The view was incredible! From our room on the Kinabalu Wing, we could see the majestic Mount Kinabalu. It was breathtaking!
Just a heads up, the dirt and stone road leading to the resort is about 2.2 km long, and if you’re not used to it, it might be a bit bumpy. If you’re coming here for the first time, it’s best to arrive before dark.
I’m definitely going back here again! Maybe next time, I’ll have a barbecue under the stars of Kinabalu. That would be epic!
NNajeh YusriStayed here for a night. The location is a little off because you cannot see Mt. Kinabalu anywhere, but you would find yourself surrounded by pine trees, which is also a point to add. You could hear the winds at night, a little scary but also serene at the same time. I would not be bothered by anything else except for the network. It was so slow during my stay, eventhough they provided the wifi. What is the point connecting to the wifi if you cannot use it anyway? Our phone network also did not work there, unfortunately. It’s a big concern because people would want to text, call their families and friends besides updating their social medias and making research for attractions etc. If the management team could figure this out and work for a better improvement on this issue, it would be great and more pleasurable to stay. Other than that, it was a good stay. Thank you!
NNanaSyakinahWe just wanted to try doing it in a capsule.. but this is the first time we've done it in a capsule.. the place is a bit scary.. but we'll try doing it in a tent later.. everything else is ok..
