The room is super large and clean, very comfortable for family because they allowed to cook inside the apartment. The kitchenette is complete with all the facilities, the view is superb awesome you can see the sunset or sunrise from the balcony. The staff so friendly and very helpful
Location wise, the hotel is situated at the mouth of Ringlet. It is a good 30min drive to shops and eateries so unless you are prepared to brave 30min (or more on a busy day) on windy roads upwards (and another 30min back to hotel therafter), you may have to think twice. It was becos of this factor, our family of 5 decided to just spend the entire day in the hotel.
Food at the restaurant in the hotel was pretty decent. A Malaysian chicken curry rice will set you back RM60, so just to let you in on the prices.
The hotel is well kept and the rooms are generally clean. I booked the family room and am impressed by its size, cleanliness. Sheets are clean and room is well-made. Like the simple touches added by the hotel, eg, towels are lightly rose scented, essential oil candle lamps in the rooms. Mattress was really comfortable and the husband enjoyed a good night's rest. Our room came with breakfast the next morning. Breakfast is semi-buffet- pick a main from menu, whilst cheeses, muffins and variety of staples are free flow. A glass of freshly squeezed orange juice is complimentary - that was the best perk me up for me.
We were also pleasantly surprised that the hotel washed the guests' cars. Our car was refreshed and ready for the roads again after a night at the Lakehouse.
Though the hotel wasn't my first choice initially but I might just wanna return again. Thank you Lakehouse for making a day's stay a memorable and comfortable one.

Had a great time at this boutique hotel. It’s relatively new and adopt a very interesting design concept. They only have 10 rooms I think. The landscaping around the hotel was really nice. The location of this place is in Tanah Rata, so it’s not as crowded as Brinchang, also it’s not as congested in terms of traffic. You only get one car park per room. It’s situated right at the end of the street, quite secluded and very private.
There’s no one waiting during check in, basically, you text a number and someone comes out to give you keys to your room and ask for breakfast selection for the following morning. All communication was done through the WhatsApp. We also asked for extra towels and shampoo, owners were very courteous and generous.
Felt very safe for my family with young children could just roam around freely. In terms of amenities, there’s no swimming pool or gym facilities. But there’s a place to do bbq and gather in the common area. They give you the auto gate lock if you were to drive out and come back late at night, you can allow yourself in and lock the gate yourself.
In the morning you can hear very loud bird chirping. The air was very fresh! But we were awoken by the loud noise of grass trimming from next door, some government office. There’s also a dormitory next door and you can hear evening prayers.
Nearby, there’s a lot of shops and restaurants whereby you will find no problems settling your meals, about 5 mins walk down to the Main Street.
Just a few things to note :
- There’s a lot of stairs and if you have elderly in your entourage, it is not very convenient getting to the room. You may ask for ground floor rooms of course. The stairs worked super well for my children though, they just enjoyed going up and down so much!
- We booked loft rooms. The toilet and bath tub is located next to the main door. It’s open concept, meaning if you were to take a shower at night or go to toilet, it’s going to be cold.
- The beds are on the top floor, so if you need the bathroom in the middle of the night, you have to walk down the stairs.
- The bathtub and shower design is not so convenient for young children or elderly.
- Breakfast comes in very cute tiffin boxes. They place it outside your door around 8 plus. However, I always couldn’t catch their delivery on time, and most times the food is rather cold already.
Overall, I still enjoyed my stay very much. I think would very suitable for young couples, and groups of young travelers.
19-20 February
Staycation: Rovers Inn Guest House Tanah Rata Cameron.
Room type: Quadraple room for 2 adult 2 kids. No breakfast ya... can go out for eat or can ”tapaw” nearby and santai² makan outside lobby area. Can go down and make ur tea @ coffee for free of charges. Got quite hour 11pm-7am. However you can go anywhere you want. Given entrance door key in case you come back late night.
The price/performance ratio is too low. After that, I know that I have to charge 20 MYR for foreign consumers. Secondly, there is no hair dryer in the room? Amazing. The room still has a taste, the only advantage may be that the service attitude is OK, the breakfast is very rich and the price is not high, this is very much like. If you are away from the station, you can't say it is very close. It takes 15 minutes to 20 minutes to get there. Overall, it's okay, but the price is not worth it.
Hotel berkonsepkan service apartment..baru siap Ogos2024…tiada servis room cleaning & tukar tuala sampai check out which is very dissapointed..kita bayar 3hari harga sama je, kenapa kena pakai tuala yg sama selama 3hari? Tapi lepas nego, pihak hotel tukarkan sekali sepanjang 3hari tu..breakfast rm58/pax di Zenith Hotel tp tak ambil pun
The staff at this property saved from sleeping on the street on our first night in Tanah Rata due to a problem between the hotel we booked and the agent (the big ”A”). We rolled up at about 10pm after dragging our luggage across town. Note: difficult to find taxi or Grab after 9pm. They gave us a room for the night but we stayed for 3. The staff were great, especially Elaine, who provided heaps of useful guidance and also organized our self-drive motorbike tour. She's a gem. The property is quiet and pleasant. Good public areas and grounds. Prices competitive. We had a double with private en-suite. Hot water was useful in this climate. Internet was a little unreliable. Didn't sleep well but that was mostly due to change in climate. Clean and sure to be a success, especially compared to our intended hotel.
We moved from one room to this one as we extended our stay and there was no more days available in our previous room. This building where this room was it is a bit more old fashion as well as the room. Despite this , the room was very clean and spacious so more space for the luggage and also the view was nice from the windows.
The location of the hotel is great, walking distance from restaurants and cafes.
