Best Thorn Hotels

Very, very dated and negligible hotel. It is necessary to reconstruction/remove, painting, decoration, just everything is to replace: stairs, rooms, furniture, floors, cottages need to be replaced, .....just really everything! The hotel is all overlooked, probably no maintenance has been done in the last 20 years.Had the small room booked, but this was not yet 15m2, including the bathroom 22m2. ( when we reported this we received as a reaction: ”But you booked the small room!”) That's right, but so small that you can hardly move in with 2 people! A bed of 1.40 broad, which we found out when we booked. Then the room was a small window, with a rough cottage, and one night box, with a small dressing box, between the wall and the bed. I had to be bid under the sharp roofbar through to my side of bed, foot for foot, there was no more place. You couldn't lose your bag yet. Clean towels, one of which with a hole in it! Very heavily, especially the lift made a little sound. The bed was in order further. No really hospitality, but more compulsory approach by the staff, with a made smile. No 66 promised broadcasts on TV, one would look at it, but that was not done. A disgusting, unpleasant, unpleasant breakfast room with waste and very old furniture and not even clean here and there. Breakfast was in order. In short, never ever located in such an old ”pouch”. Price/quality is not in proportion. For €115,- per night p.p., including breakfast, they can deliver more quality.

Fourth stay for our family here. Very large rooms with small kitchenettes. All very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is main building is good. We didn't use the restaurant, but we had two really nice evening meals at the fantastic Beach Club, just a short stroll away from hotel (reservation required on sunny days). No airconditioning in rooms, but we were in garden suites and they were cool (even with 30+ degree weather). We rented bikes (excellent quality) from the hotel which is highly recommended with all the different cycle routes in the area.

A very low greeting, I think by the owner, from the far, while I was calling at the reception, madam?? , I went to this gentleman, because I had no sense to go back to call. When I said we booked a room for the ash. night, he walked out to the reception without saying anything to me, looked what was in the computer, roamed in papers and then I got the key of our room. He asked if we wanted a breakfast, but we had already booked it. The question of whether we could eat in the restaurant was not very enthusiastic but ok... then. After taking our bag out of the car, he came to tell us where we could find the room. Room, very evening, hard mattress with many bulls in it, dust, muff and a lot of spinrag. At breakfast, it is not even possible to order a cappuccino, even not with additional payment. I would like to compliment the lady in the morning who served behind the bali, friendly, clean and hospitality, that we had missed all weekend. And I understand that it may be difficult in the horeca, but you ask a fair price, for the quality you offer, then a great dose of friendship and hospitality would make a lot of good for me.

This hotels in a good spot near bars and restaurants, its clean the rooms are nice and it's got good parking. However the customer service is very poor. Usually (Ive stayed s few times) you have some disinterested youth at reception who can barely focus on you, your needs, your booking etc. Inattentive poor service basically in fact almost almost rude.. for the management of this place. It takes very little for your staff to be attentive - its free and makes customers feel welcomed and not like they are a distraction from Tik Tok...

The hotel is located in the old town directly on the Rur (Roer). In keeping with the historical structure, it has no elevator and steep stairs. The room was clean and had comfortable beds. The restaurant is very cozy and very well attended. Breakfast and dinner were of excellent quality. The house offers a good price-performance ratio. Parking is available nearby in public parking garages. Gladly again 😊

The facade of the hotel is not big, and it will be amazing when you enter it. The rooms are large and the decoration is special. They are all controlled by modern technology. The rooms are warm and comfortable. The beds are large. There is a terrace on the 4th floor to see the whole town. You can drink and cool off on it when it’s hot. The breakfast is plentiful. You can walk to the outlets. There are many restaurants to choose from. The supermarket is also very close. It is more convenient. It is recommended to stay in.

The theater remodeled hotel, super nice, the gate is too bright, and in the city center, the gate is the square and the church. The hotel has its own parking lot. After the check-out, you can get a parking ticket for free.
