Really lovely homestay boutique hotel. Room was lovely and spacious with great attention to detail. Bathroom and amenities are great. Breakfast and staff are lovely and although more expensive than some hotels it is easy to see why. Would love to stay again.
Just realised I forgot to give a review last year . We stayed at Settlers for a few days at the beginning and end of our holiday last year and have stayed at this excellent motel before . It offers a lovely spacious and relaxing place to unwind . There are many homely touches . The owners are friendly, engaging and endeavour to make everyone’s stay thoroughly enjoyable. We are cat lovers so particularly enjoyed the visits of Charlie their cat. We have every intention of staying at Settlers when next in Arrowtown.
A comfy pub with a spacious dining room and North facing balcony, this unpretentious hotel serves good country fare. The roast lamb was so soft and generous in size with Harvey mint sauce and all the trimmings. Staff are great and a range of local wines and beers are served. A good option when you are “over” restaurant food

A large motel, the hotel grounds are a large park. There is a large lawn and a rugby field. very quiet. We live in a separate area. The room is not big and can accommodate 2-3 people. There is a public kitchen, which is large and cooking is no problem. There are dedicated public toilets and bathrooms, only hotel guests have keys, one minute's walk from the room. There is a medium-sized supermarket 5 minutes' walk away. It is a 10-minute walk from the town center, less than 20 kilometers from Queenstown, and a 20-minute drive. Compared with the same housing price in Queenstown, it is half cheaper.
Very quiet and meticulously maintained motel in a residential neighborhood of Arrowtown but only several minutes from city centre of Arrowtown and 20 minutes from the expense and congestion of Queenstown. For us, this site was the way to go and we are glad we chose this lodging. There were plenty of places to eat in Arrowtown, and still enjoy what there was to offer in the Queenstown region.
I have been closed to this resort for a long time, and I finally have the opportunity to visit this time. A resort of about 3,000 acres is surrounded by snowy mountains, the scenery is pleasant, and the architecture is Japanese and Western style. There are large golf courses, and those who want to relax are worth visiting. It would be great if there is a Chinese food service.

What a beautiful location, we had a large family trip to Queenstown for the weekend & had the entire lodge to ourselves and it was absolutely perfect!! We didn’t want to leave, the owners were friendly & accomodating, it was so lovely and warm, fantastic spa, comfortable beds & the grounds were just stunning!! The main house was awesome for all of our family gatherings over the weekend with the pool table & roaring fire it was so lovely! The only small thing I would change would be an update of some of the furniture, we stayed in the large studio & the couches were a bit out of place looking in such a stunning location! With a little bit of an update here and there it would be PERFECT! But it was such a fantastic stay that, that was such a minor detail. Thank you so much couldn’t recommend this place enough!
My husband and I celebrated our 50th anniversary in NZ and booked 5 nights at this lovely home with the most incredible views imaginable. Dan and Mitzi were so kind, pleasant and helpful in making the end of our 3 week adventures in NZ complete and soul enriching. We stayed in the heritage room and I strongly recommend this room because you are so comfortable and you are rewarded with a ridiculously adorable view of the chickens, ducks, guinea pigs and various birds in the area who are incredibly entertaining and the happiest creatures in a beautiful environment made just for them. The breakfast was a feast of goodness with homemade yogurt, jams, breads, etc. and made to order selections. The historic photos, local antiques and uniqueness of the historic building added to the remarkable experience. I cannot thank Dan enough for his guidance in making the best choices of incredible experiences for each day we were fortunately able to drive around the Queenstown area. A 5 star location in every way because you really do feel you are relaxing at home in the most amazing place with such warm and inviting hosts.

Arrowtown
Ggpc_mybaby[View] The scenery by the lake is very good, the trees are mottled in the sun, the snow-capped mountains in the distance, the undulating streets, the small shops on both sides of the street, very life atmosphere. [Cost-effective] A place worth seeing
Buckingham Street
王王海娃子Buckingham Street in Arrow Town is a traditional British name. Retro streets and buildings seem to travel through time and space again, returning to the hot gold rush a hundred years ago.
Historic Arrowtown Chinese Settlement
DD了个YAn early Chinese workers' settlement in Arrowtown, New Zealand. Arrowtown is also called the gold rush town. As early as the middle of the last century, a European discovered gold by the Arrow River, so a large number of gold diggers flocked here and built this town by the Arrow River. Four years later, Chinese workers also came here to join the gold rush and established an independent settlement, which is the Chinese settlement we see now.
At that time, most Chinese workers were alone. They worked hard with the spirit of the Chinese people who were not afraid of hardship and fatigue. Relying on their own national characteristics, they naturally formed a small self-sufficient community. By the 1870s, there were about 5,000 Chinese workers living in the Otago region in southern New Zealand.
Afterword
I thought New Zealand was just a country with natural landscapes for sightseeing. I didn't expect that in such a beautiful environment, there would be such a relatively compassionate historical relic. I couldn't help but feel a lot.
Lakes District Museum & Gallery
王王海娃子The museum is a place to explain the local humanities and history. In addition to the history of the Maori people, a lot of words are spent here to tell the scene of the local gold rush and the bitter life of the Chinese workers!
Arrow River
旅旅の径The Arrow River, the mother river of Arrow Town, nurtured the formation of Arrow Town, which recorded the rise and fall of Arrow Town. As gold miners found the first gold in the Arrow River Valley in the 1860s, Arrow River gradually became one of the most abundant sand gold rivers in the world. A large number of gold miners flocked to settle here, named after the river, with the town of Arrow and gradually flourishing. The drying of gold sands and the fading of the gold rush left behind the decaying town and the ecologically damaged Arrow River. Until the rise of the tourism fever, vigorously restore vegetation and protect the ecology, the Arrow River has today's charming scenery, the river is clear, crystal clear, trees, flowers blooming. To visit Jianzhen, you must go to the Jianhe River on the north side of the town to see, walk along the river trail, stroll in the citizen park, the mountains and clear waters will bring you a refreshing and happy.
