The hotel has a variety of bed type rooms with separate or non-independent washrooms, and rooms with separate washrooms have wash basins. The location is very good, the Auckland University campus and the city, train station, etc. can be reached on foot, the train station is a little far away, about 1.6 km. There is a simple breakfast sharing in the common area, coffee, hot chocolate and bread, instant noodles and more. No extra beds, children can rent a room in a family hotel, free parking. Although the room is a bit old, the whole building is very historical, and the landlord is very kind.
Ideal location if you want to avoid town and stay near the beach. I enjoyed evening walk from hotel to Saint Kilda beach. It was less than 5 km for return trip.

Your pillowtop bed comes with premium bedding. 40-inch flat-screen televisions with cable programming provide entertainment, while complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected. Conveniences include separate sitting areas and electric kettles.
There was a power outage at the property for about an hour.
The environment is indeed good. There is an additional charge for the parking lot. The entrance is at the main entrance of the hotel. You can drive in directly. There is no bathtub.
The scenery opposite is the parking lot. Fortunately, the internal environment of the hotel is really good.
The breakfast downstairs is very good, you need to order a la carte.
In the scenic area, you need to click on the iron gate when checking in, otherwise you will not be able to enter the scenic area. You can order dinner in the castle. It seems to be 90 New Zealand dollars per person.
The stable room where I live is in the attic on the second floor. There is enough space to store two boxes.
Breakfast is very good. It is English breakfast with buffet + set menu.
We didn’t finish the meal, so we took it away and went to Sandfly Bay for Chinese food.
Get up early and visit the gardens and castle. Staying here is equivalent to visiting the castle for free. It smells great.
There is a microwave refrigerator, it is very convenient to go to the supermarket to buy things and simply cook some food. The hot water is also very good, it is very comfortable to take a shower after a day of playing. The parking space is a guest, and the extra vehicle charges. I left earlier, they hadn't been to work yet, just stuffing the door card into the box at their door.
Very good location, quiet apartment, small and charming house. The facilities are convenient, the living room, kitchen and bedroom are separated, suitable for a family of three. For extra beds, you only need to set up a bed in the living room. The space is very spacious, although the kitchen is not suitable for Chinese cooking, simple breakfast, boiling and baking, and microwave heating are still acceptable. It's clean, the bedding is comfortable, and it's interesting to see the sea from the corner of the window. The room is very warm, so you don't have to worry about being cold. The bathing space is not big, but it's not cold either. The corner Italian restaurant is worth trying. The only small drawback is that the parking space is very crowded and SUVs tend to scratch the walls.
The hotel is very beautiful, the facilities are very good, the hotel is very new. Although there is no front desk, an email will be sent to contact in advance. The kitchen is complete and you can stay for a few more days.

Outstanding
KKisstangtangUnfortunately, there is a construction site opposite, so the view is blocked. But the landlords, the old ladies, are very welcoming. Parking is very convenient, right at the door. Our house is on the first floor, and the sound insulation is not very good. The buildings here are all wooden structures, so there may be noise when people upstairs walk. But overall it is really good, and the room is very large.
But Ctrip said there is conditioner, but it actually doesn't.
EEVGENIIThe hotel in North Dunedin was a perfect blend of convenience and comfort. The well-appointed rooms offered a cozy retreat, and the hotel's location near the local attractions made it an ideal choice for leisure travelers. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout the stay. The hotel's proximity to restaurants and shops added to the overall convenience, making it a great base for exploring Dunedin.
MMoodyMerryThe hotel is very convenient as it's located in the central city, Every attraction and food outlet is approx 10 to 15 minutes walk which I don't mind. The hotel provides a breakfast buffet all day and dinner from 6pm to 9pm. The customer service is very professional and friendly! I got a king bedroom that also includes air conditioning which is very cosy. The bed is very comfortable, however am not really a fan with soft pillows.
They have plenty of amenities and facilities in the room, i love the experience and have a nice sunrise view in the morning. Would definitely recommend to family and friends to stay.
HhollycuiThe room is small, the bathroom is OK, but the breakfast room is too small. The front desk told me that I didn't need to make a reservation. I went downstairs for breakfast at 8:30 and waited for 20 minutes. After sitting down, I waited for 40 minutes. When I checked out, I paid for the room with breakfast. The white waiters in the restaurant were not friendly to Chinese people.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very convenient, right on the main street, and the owner is very helpful. The environment is good, the service is good, the sanitation is comfortable, very satisfied, will come again, recommend friends to stay in Dunedin.
GGuest UserThe second floor corridor door is very bad. Whenever someone goes in and out, it makes a loud noise, which makes me sleep badly all night. The hotel's own parking space also charges 15 New Zealand dollars. I didn't pay attention when I checked in at night. When I opened the balcony at dawn the next day, I found that the flag hung by the hotel was very unique! Anyway, I checked out immediately at dawn and will not stay here again.
1123-travellerThe location is close to the center of Dunedin, close to the University of Otago and the First Church. The room is large, clean, equipped with bathroom and kitchen, and free parking in the courtyard.
Facilities: Not very new
Hygiene: very good
Good environment
good service
GGuest UserLeviathan Hotel is a classic hotel with a nice interior of the common areas (wooden stairs, old fashioned furniture etc.) and an old style elevator and keys for the doors. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My rooms is in the small side and if your want a super new and spotless hotel this one is a little bit old and worn which is part of its charm.
ZZongyouyangguang1970The hotel is full of old-fashioned Scottish style. The first floor is a bar, restaurant, and a casino. The front desk clerk is very funny. He often drinks and chats in the bar. He will come over if you need anything. The corridor and stairwell are full of old-fashioned style and very romantic. The room is not big, with old-fashioned doors and windows. There is free parking. It is in the city center, Bajiao Street, the old train station, and the oldest church are all within a 5-minute walk. There are two different national chain supermarkets, Countdown and New World, within a 10-minute walk.
The average price for hotels in Dunedin is AED 554 on weekdays, and AED 566 on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
