Best Papamoa Hotels

Fabulous place to stay. Our apartment was spotless, the kitchen was well equipped and the beds (I need one of those pillows) were extremely comfortable. Close to all amenities, you can just walk therefor a bit of shopping, the supermarket or dinner out. Accommodating staff and overall, highly recommended for a holiday or getaway weekend.

We stayed in beachfront spa villa. The unit is better than what is shown in the pictures, spacious bathroom with large spa looking out towards the beach, bright room with comfortable bed and the best thing of all is 'out of this world' view of Papamoa Beach. There is a short path leading from the deck to the beach (no roads to cross). We enjoyed eating fish and chips on the deck. We also had breakfasts in cafe Gather just across the road and dinner in Lantern. Both places were very good! The holiday park is walking distance from Papamoa Plaza with all the shops nearby. You can also hire bikes at the reception.

Lovely quiet, family friendly place to stay at! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a camp ground. The facilities were all maintained to a high standard, especially the kitchen & bathrooms! No smoking or drinking on the campground so it kept the party crowds out. Felt very safe. Most sites looked big enough for 1-2 cars and a decent size tent, or a few tents. Lots of stuff for the kids to do.

The place is very accesible from state hiway and few blocks away from Bayfair mall. We did not expect that a motel could have been that complete. The check in was very smooth. The guy accompanied us to our room. The unit has 2 floors. Ground floor has 1 single bed, small receiving area and mini kitchen. Mini kitchen has cuttleries, kitchen utensils, pans and mini fridge. The toilet hAs bath tub and complete with toiletries. Queen size bed is uptairs. I must commend this has the most generous plug/ socket that we have ever stayed in! I think the entire unit has 5 x 2 plugs. Yehey!! Thats 10 gadgets or appliance at the same time. Lol. There is a heater panel as well but electric fan is provided too. We are delighted that we were able to use their heated pool After a tiring day from walking around. The check out was fast and easy too! Will recommend this motel to everyone who does not expect something grand and not fussy. We are happy to stay here again and again in the future

This establishment allows pets, but quite frankly I wouldn't let my dog anywhere near it. Spent a week here on work (clearly upset someone in bookings) and found it thoroughly unpleasant. On entry to the room I was greeted with carpet stains and an aroma akin to an ailing widowers home. Single beds serve as lounge seating and wooden decor and panelling throughout gives a distinctly 80s vibe. Shower is lined with black mould. The thermal pool may well be very pleasant but given its condition (refer to photographs) was not something I wanted to immerse my body in. Location is undesirable and driveway is on a corner of a busy road which is treacherous. All in all a dreadful time. Fortunately a corkscrew is supplied, as if you stay here you'll certainly want to drink.

The place was unexpectedly nice. Room was clean and there were some nice touches - a wee bottle of full cream milk with a nice creamy top, a bottle of water chilling in the fridge. Check in was effortless. The shower was a little weak but overall I'm really glad I stayed here. New world supermarket across the road and a world class steak restaurant around the corner

Loved this hotel! Simon was very welcoming and incredibly accommodating especially with providing a cot for our toddler and making sure we had enough blankets etc for him. Beds were super comfy, carpet nice and plush, everything is new! Also loved the eco aspect of the whole place with sensor lighting etc which felt very modern as well as being excellent for the environment. Loved the room access on ground level straight to the carpark which was handy for pram (and I’m assuming wheelchair) access. Would highly recommend!
