We stayed in a king superior room and we were pleased with the cleanliness of the room and the view was more then beautiful, I’d definitely recommend staying here to anyone who asks about Copthorne bay of islands. We also ordered the lamb shank and pork belly on the dinner menu and we pleased with that and our room service.. Breakfast was to die for aswell. Would love to stay again.
Such a beautiful location right on the waters edge. I stayed in one of the four standalone cabins. Each had their own covered outdoor seating area facing the water which was great when it was both sunny and raining. The cabin was clean and had all the equipment I needed. I was impressed that they provided washing up liquid, scrubbing brushes etc as often these sorts of things are not provided. There was no air con but fans were provided which helped and the bed was comfortable. The shower/kitchen block was close by with plenty of toilets and two showers. Both showers were hot and powerful, although one was so powerful it was painful! The other was much better. The kitchen /laundry area was well equipped although the oven was missing the shelves inside. Again it was all very clean.
The room is generally good, and the wife is quite satisfied! The room key is in a box with a code lock next to the door. When I went there, there was no one at the front desk. After ringing the doorbell, I told me the code and room number through the intercom. I took the key to open the door, which was very convenient. The wireless signal is very weak and the wifi password is not working well, so I didn't go to find someone to solve it after staying for one night.

It's very convenient by the sea. The little brother James at the front desk enthusiastically introduced surrounding restaurants and supermarket attractions. When I asked how to get to the opposite island, I also told him that it would be cheaper to go with the boat. Great, great experience.
Fantastic location, walking distance to the town centre and Wharf . Room clean and spacious , we stayed for 4 nights and our rooms were cleaned and amenities replenished every day . Will definitely come again !
When you stay at Bayview Motel in Paihia, you'll be in the historical district, just steps from Bay of Islands and 5 minutes by foot from Paihia Wharf. This motel is 0.3 mi (0.5 km) from Paihia Beach and 0.1 mi (0.2 km) from Te Ti Bay.
Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as tour/ticket assistance.
The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Make yourself at home in one of the 11 air-conditioned rooms featuring kitchens with refrigerators and ovens. 30-inch Smart televisions with satellite programming provide entertainment, while complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected. Conveniences include microwaves and electric kettles, and housekeeping is provided daily.
The location is great, a few minutes walk to beach front and maim centre for food. Amenities include cutlery, fridge, microwave, kettle etc. Only thing is there is no air-conditioner but fans were provided but luckily it wasn't too hot when we were there but in peak summer, no a/c would have been bad.
Good and bad. We arrived 20 minutes before check in, I thought it would be ok - it was not. But the desk person saw me standing at the counter and was sitting in the waiting area having a personal conversation, ignoring me, when she finally came over she was quite rude about how we were too early and told me to come back in 20 minutes. We went and had a coffee and came back to be met at the service desk by a very polite man who checked us in, although he gave vague directions to get to our room.
Once there, I stepped out of the sliding door to the outside, not expecting the step down to be about 24cm (which is a large step for anyone, let alone shorty like me). I rolled my ankle, and now my foot is swollen. When I advised on checkout, there should be a warning on the door and what had happened. The person (different lady) was unconcerned about my foot.
Other than that, the room was comfortable and very close to township and great eating places.
Despite the cons we would stay again.
