I have visited this hotel before the recent renovation and would like to know about these changes. I am very surprised! I really like the open concept of front desk, bar, restaurant and its decoration. I emphasized the changes made to the room: decoration, comfort and extra facilities (tea, coffee, champagne and minibar). I like the swimming pool built on the terrace and surrounding area. The breakfast is great and I like the idea of the dinner menu. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Congratulations! ! ! 💖

You just can’t beat the location and views. However, I was not expecting the staff to be so lovely! We arrived early and they arranged our room right away and brought us welcome drinks while we waited. To our pleasant surprise the staff set up an ice bucket with complimentary wine and a personalized note. I loved this little touch! The bed is firm but comfortable. Enjoyed the complimentary parking and breakfast. All in all, this stay was really a dream come true.

This hotel is situated in a village that's practically inside the sea yet manages to offer no sea view. We booked it anyway as the photos showed some sea view and we though the kitchenette would make up for price paid. The photos looking through the window are completely misleading. The kitchenette is nice but nothing to write home to. There is an included breakfast but no on site restaurant. What's the work around? You are requested by the reception staff to vist their partner hotel which has two restaurants. On our first day we accidentally visited Sea View as the signaling in the area is quite confusing. The staff were lovely all around. Even in informing us we were at the wrong restaurant. They allowed us to eat there anyway, served us and all other guests with the greatest of care and professionalism, and then explained to us how to get to our hotel's assigned restaurant. On our second day we make our way to Oceana Rooftop. The correct restaurant. We think we've won the lotto! What a view! What a location! We cannot wait to eat there! Only to then be met with extremely rude and unmotivated staff. They hardly cared if food from the breakfast buffet had run out. They didn't care if tables were vacated but loaded with dirty dishes from guests who had finished their breakfast. They hardly cared to smile at us. Awful, awful experience. Terrible way to start the day. But onto the hotel itself, it makes me question what the requirements for 4 stars are! You want your included breakfast? Partner Hotel. You want a massage? Partner Hotel. Sauna? Partner Hotel. Steam Bath? The other Partner Hotel. Swim? Other Partner Hotel yet again. My apologies to the reception staff and the lovely Adrianna who checked us in, as well as the Housekeeping. All were very kind and efficient. It's just quite frankly a disappointing hotel, lacking in any interesting services for a relaxing holiday. If you are looking to go to Porto Moniz then aim at a reservation in one of the partner hotels.

We never stayed in the hotel, so can't comment on that. However my sisters snd I wanted a coffee. We went upstairs as wanted to be inside, rather than out. We went to the counter and was rudely told to sit down, counter was only for paying. We saw a young guy, who was waiting on tables. We asked him where we could sit, stating quite clearly that we only wanted coffee. We sat where HE TOLD US TO. After around 15 mins an old guy came up with menus, we again stated that we only wanted coffee, not something to eat. He was extremely rude to us. Told us in no uncertain terms to, basically piss off and if we wanted coffee to go downstairs and sit outside. We told our tour guide, who directed us elsewhere, where we were made very welcome.

Bel emplacement entre mer et montagne, l'hôtel est vraiment bien situé. Pour autant, malgré un rafraîchissement visible, humidité ressentie (exemple: odeur des oreillers, odeur de canalisation dans la SDB). Literie correcte (matelas bien ferme) malgré des draps jaunes, loin du blanc, une salle de bain pas assez ventilée et bruyante, un lavabo très bas, pas de prises de courant dans la SDB, support produits inexistants dans la douche, pas de supports pour étendre ses serviettes après un passage à la piscine, enfin la climatisation est faible. Coffre fort payant. Personnel triste, pas ou peu souriant (c'est peut être la dureté quotidienne). Piscine intérieure peu engageante, les peintures et vitres extérieures demandent un bon rafraîchissement. Les évacuations des balcons sont à nettoyer. Des excroissances verdoyantes sortent des tuyaux et donnent une image dégoûtante (au rythme de l'écoulement d'un goutte à goutte). Réveillé tous les matins à 08h30 par les chariots des femmes de ménages, dommage. Bref, c'est décevant car le site est magnifique. Après ouverture de la porte de chambre donnant sur la piscine extérieure, réveil matinal aux bruits des vagues, cest magique. Côté repas, ceux-ci sont très très simples et pourraient être comparés à ceux servit dans une cantine de faible niveau. La salle de restauration est surchauffée, bruyante et ne peut pas être vraiment aérée (seul deux fenêtres s'ouvrent sur l'extérieur, ainsi que deux portes). Les chaises sont trop basses et peu confortables. Les nappes sur les tables sont souvent tachées. Si vous souhaitez manger en extérieur, c'est possible, mais sur des supports tres vieillissants (certaines tables sont bancales et rendent le repas désagréable). Trois parasols se battent en duel. Leur supports sont eux aussi tres fatigués. Petits déjeuners complets pour ceux qui aiment le salé (œufs, saucisses, charcuterie), nous n'avons pour autant pas testés. Les pains, vienoiseries, beurres sont de faibles niveaux (sans saveurs). Pas de chocolat (type nutella), thés fades (seul deux choix proposés), café et jus d'orange industriels. Dîner: très soft, avec un poisson (souvent odorant), des entrées constituées des restes de la veille, une viande souvent très dure, légumes souvent peu cuits, riz, pâtes, sans sauces...desserts: malheureusement peu rassurants (gelées colorées, flanc, une seule saveur de glace, une salade de fruits, )...Cet ensemble vous sera proposé chaque soir. Bref, après deux jours, vous n'êtes déjà plus surpris. Au delà du fait que vous n'avez pas ou peu de choix, parfois vous testez un nouveau gâteau, malheureusement pas encore décongelé. Alors cela est bien entendu comestible mais pardon, très souvent décevant, fade, voir pas bon du tout. pour un trois étoiles, nous sommes déçus. En résumé, à part le point de vue incroyable, passer votre chemin.

Das Jardim Atlantico liegt in Prazeres. Weit oben - sehr schön mit Blick auf das Meer. Die Suiten sind in zwei Etagenhäusern untergrebracht. Leider kann man von der untersten Etage nur schwer über den Garten auf das Meer schauen. Deshalb würde ich empfehlen Suiten im oberen Bereich zu mieten. Die Parkplatzsituation ist eine Katastrophe. Es gibt ca. 10 bis 15 Plätze am Hotel, aber die sind in der Regel komplett belegt. Daher parken die Leute seitlich die Straße entlang, was auf der schmalen Straße etwas beengt ist - auch für Fußgänger. Etwa 400 m bergauf ist ein kleiner öffentlicher Parkplatz, auf dem man meistens etwas findet. Jedoch ist es eben doch ein gewisser Fußmarsch, den man dann auf sich nehmen muss. Da abends anscheinend viele Gäste ins Restaurant kommen, ist es abends eigentlich ausgeschlossen, dass man direkt am Hotel bzw. in der Nähe parken kann. Das Hotel ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer sind praktisch eingerichtet. Es gibt relativ große Betten. Sie sind bequem. Aber es ist eben alles schon etwas älter. Die Zimmer haben Fliesenboden, was ich von der Hygiene her eigentlich gut finde - aber es ist eben nicht sehr gemütlich. Auch die Terrasse ist sehr zweckmäßig mit Sitzgelegenheiten eingerichtet, aber auch nicht wirklich gemütlich. Die Küche im Zimmer ist in meinen Augen ziemlich überflüssig. Sie besteht aus einem Herd, einem Kühlschrank und jeweils exakt zwei Gläsern, zwei Weingläsern, zwei Tassen, zwei Tellern, zwei Gabeln, zwei Messer. Dazu ein paar wenige Töpfe, aber alles insgesamt lädt nicht wirklich zum Kochen ein. Leider sind nur wenige Steckdosen vorhanden. In Bett-Nähe habe ich gar keine gefunden, was ziemlich lästig ist, wenn man das Handy gewohnt ist am Bett neben sich zu haben und über Nacht zu laden. Im Badezimmer befinden sich zwei Steckdosen und auch zwei in der Küche. Außerdem kann man die Stehlampe im Wohnbereich aus der Steckdose ziehen und hat dort dann auch noch mal eine Steckdose. Leider ist auf den Zimmern kein WLAN Empfang, sondern nur in der Lobby, im Restaurant und auf der Terrasse. Das ist denke ich nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Es gibt sehr viele Stechmücken und wenn man am Abend die Tür nicht schließt, dann wird man in der Nacht von Mücken gefressen. Auch das Sitzen auf dem Balkon ist aus dem Grunde abends eigentlich nicht mehr möglich. Das Hotel hat leider keinen Fliegengitter an der Terrasse und so ist es leider nicht möglich nachts bei offener Tür zu schlafen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ein klassisches Hotel Frühstücksbuffet mit viel Convenience-Produkten. Die übliche Auswahl an Brötchen - leider nicht knusprig, sondern nur diese laschen Standard-Brötchen, Brot, Standard-Croissants. Dann gibt es das übliche Convenience-Rührei, dass man auf Hotel-Buffets so oft findet. Kleine Würstchen, Schinken, eine Auswahl an Käse, Cerealien, Obstsalat. Das alles ganz klassisch, nicht aufregend, nicht sonderlich lecker, aber durchaus ausreichend. Abends kann man im Hotel essen. Man muss das a
