The location of the hotel is good, in the middle of the Brasov railway station and the old town. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the railway station to the hotel, and it takes about 15 minutes to walk from the hotel to the old town. There is no electric kettle in the hotel room, but there is a water dispenser in the restaurant on the first floor. You can easily receive free hot water. The buffet breakfast is 28 lei, and you can pay on the spot. WIFI signal is good, you can store your luggage for free after checking out, it is recommended.

Wholly cow! What an awesome place. Perfect location, rooms were great. Each of the rooms are a whole different story, my family enjoyed that a lot. Every detail is simply a great one, without making anything complicated. Direct and unobstructed view to the plaza. Coming back in Summer for sure!

We (a family for 2 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 12) stopped only one night in Brasov en route to Istanbul by train. We stayed in apar**ent #1. The room was perfect - two bedrooms, super stylish, cool bathroom and AMAZING shower!! Great location in the old town and the hotel staff were really helpful! Choosing a hotel in Brasov is hard - the online information is quite opaque - so let me help and just suggest you stay here :) One night in this lovely town / area isn’t quite enough but equally, we had a great time.

We stayed at the Belfort Hotel 3 nights in late September, 2024. The hotel receptionist on September 23 was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet on the 6th floor was very good. There were many choices of food and everything was fresh and recently prepared. There are only two cautions I would add. 1. The first is to be prepared to use stairs/steps between the hotel reception and the elevator and also from the 5th floor to the 6th floor for the breakfast buffet and dining room. 2. The second caution is to be aware of the charge for laundry that is sent out. It was much higher than a similar laundry order a week later at a hotel in Cluj.

We stayed here for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The reception staff were very pleasant and kind; our room, large and comfortable with all amenities; breakfast was superb and in a lovely bright and airy breakfast room with a glass ceiling and views to the Brașov sign on the hillside. In the summer, there is stepped terrace outside for having breakfast on, which also looked lovely. If, like us, you enjoy skiing, the hotel is just a few seconds walk away from the shuttle bus up to Poiana Brașov. One or two niggles would be that the volume on the TV was either set or stuck at such a low level it was unusable. Also the safe in the room didn't work. We could have raised these issues with the staff though, but we didn't!

It's a old and very large house that has been gutted and redone is a very unique and appealing interior. The rooms are all a bit funky, with angles and some steps, interesting furniture and fixtures. It's a great location near the center of town. There is a roof deck with great views. The rooms are quiet. The breakfast room is small, so you have to sign up for a time, but it worked well, and the buffet had tasty, typical choices. I did not rate it Outstanding because the Air Conditioning in my room was broken and the room faced the setting sun, so it got very hot. I called several times to complain, and was told they would get it working. When it got to 21h30 and my room was still 25 degrees, I asked to be moved to another room, which they then did, and the AC was working. But I had the hassle of having to repack in order to move

GGuest UserThis place is in a perfect location for the main square and the cable car to the mountain, giving you access to all the local eating places, bars and attractions like the Black Church. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bed was large and very comfortable. The shower was good, with nice water pressure and plenty of hot water. There is a fridge, but no air con. However, we put the fan on a couple of times, and that was fine. Housekeeping comes in daily. Despite being so central, it is a lovely quiet place to stay. My only criticism is that there is no way I could make some tea in the room. The coffee machine in the lobby was appreciated, but a kettle for us tea lovers would be a great addition.

I have recently stayed at Casa Chitic with my family and have to say that the stay was way beyond expectation. The room we stayed in was spacious and cleaned to perfection. The receptionist and the people working there were all extremely friendly and accommodating, helping us with everything from parking and restaurant bookings to giving us general advice with respect to our tour itinerary.

GGuest UserWe were greeted by a guy at the reception. Chillest and kindest receptionist i’ve ever met. We got a double premium, and it was good enough for a couple that was using it as a place to sleep/shower only. Hotel has a lot of relatively new facilities, such as: parking under your balcony, a grill, picnic area, some sort of wooden hot tubs outside, location very close to the center, and these are only some if the things we have used. Breakfast was great imo. It’s a buffet style consisting of fruits/vegetables, sweet/normal bread, eggs, sausages, cheeses, and other stuff, along with coffee/tea/water/juice. Didnt have to deal with the lady everyone is talking avout in the comments, didn’t see her there. Cheers to the receptionist, he was always there to make sure you dont have unanswered questions. Cons: Stayed 3 nights, the only “room service” was a guy that asked if we have any garbage. Towels were not changed (but i didnt bother to ask them about that). Even if the breakfast was good, it was repetitive. Lacks a “do not disturb/room needs cleaning” door sign.

JjajaDeLaCaransebesPros: Central location, Quick access to the square and the historic center. Attractive price Cons: The room did not correspond to any of those in photos on the site. Unsanitary and dilapidated, stained sheets, presence of hair in the sheets, very noisy fridge, badly soundproofed (noise coming from other rooms and ballet of cleaning ladies from 9 a.m.), dusty bedside tables, I had to clean the bedroom before I can move in. No pressure at the tap and in the shower, very complicated to take a shower with such a small flow of water. Towels stained and torn, blackout curtains too small to cover the entire window, so woke up at 5am by the sun's rays.

The Council Square

There are a lot of grids in the square, and from time to time, the children are excited to run around the square. When the sun is good, there are a lot of people in the whole square, and everyone sits there and chats and eats.
