Best Sigtuna Hotels

I was here for lunch and I could really recommend it. The food, service and staff was really at their best and the view from the restaurant is a killer view! We had various dishes from the sea like lobster, shrimps, lobster soup, oysters with bread and cheese accompanied with delicious wine

This hotel was a new experience for my wife and I. It was such a delight to be treated almost so well. The staff were superb -- friendly, helpful and very considerate of our needs. When we arrived and entered our room it was quite a surprise to find our luggage already in our room. After a short walk in the very Swedish town of Sigtuna we took an afternoon tea in their beautiful lounge. Again, we were surprised by a 3-tier serving tray with a very tasty selection of small ”goodies” for our tea. Later in the evening, we were seated in a pleasant dining room with a fantastic view over lake Mälaren. We had a three course meal that was just delicious and the service was first class. Our room was very comfortable and our request for extra pillows was handled immediately -- another ”star” for the staff. The breakfast had everything we liked with a bonus of making our own waffles.

The hotel is located in a higher position in the town, with a unique architectural style. It is also regarded as one of the landmarks in the town. It seems that there is a place for weddings. The parking lot is free, the restaurant is good, the breakfast is standard western style, the dinner is also very good, the taste is good, the waiters in the restaurant are very good and the service is courteous. The disadvantage is that the room is too small to book a large room. There is an extra charge for children staying in extra beds. The town is not big, just walk around.

Gorgeous estate and buildings, so comfortable and quiet. Loved the room, great view, large and all the amenities. Got to swim in the lake which was so serene. The dinner was first rate and the breakfast had a wide selection of quality items. Staff especially Ingela and Leonte and his assistant were so kind, helpful, and humorous and made my stay memorable.

One night. Perfectly OK for an airport hotel. Small clean room on the same floor as the car park. Didn’t notice the curtain was missing until I was settled in. I didn’t want to change rooms, so I clothed appropriately. I reported this to the front desk at checkout and there wasn’t much concern, so I followed up with an e-mail. Airport shuttle is free and about a 15 minute ride. The pickup point is Terminal 4, Bus Stop #16, 10 and 40 after the hour. (I arrived at T5, so I am sure that this is the stop for T4 and T5. The walk was about 10 minutes between T5 and the bus stop. Not sure of the stop, if any, for other ARN terminals.) There is a set schedule for the shuttle to take you to the airport and you need to make a reservation. Breakfast starts at 4 AM, which is very nice. Buffet had a decent variety and served its purpose.

I stayed here on a solo visit, booking was very easy and the hotel really communicative. Getting to the hotel from Arlanda airport was easy, the shuttle bus service is spot on and easy to catch. I stayed in a single room, which is where my disappointment comes, the website shows a light and airy room, but it was anything but, quite dark, not very welcoming and the view of a waste bin out the window wasn't great. The shower was very good, but, with no sort of plug mechanism on the sink, if I had a shower the smell of sewage from the sink was strong and very off putting. I will say though that the bed was genuinely one of the comfiest I have ever slept in! There was no tea or coffee in the room, and I was a little disappointed there were no UK/US or even French or German news channels on the TV - just a little thing that an international airport could have - that's not to say watching the 'Timber World Championship' wasn't bad. I stayed in room 22, please be advised that in this room I was awoken each night by bottle trolleys being emptied and people going to and from the bar. Breakfast in the hotel was OK, a fair selection and you could sort a takeaway coffee - the cheese rolls and the jam biscuits were really tasty. I must say the staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel. They were more than happy to chat to me in English through my broken Swedish. The hotel itself is located in an industrial estate and there wasn't too much around, but a quick shuttle bus to SkyCity at Arlanda and you had shops and a McDonalds close by. I would stay here again, but perhaps in a higher standard of room!

I had booked 6 days. Arrived 17:30 parking is not included. 45 sek an hour OR 115 for 12 hours. So I could buy 12 hours and I would have to get up 5:30 to extend my parking. The room where small and prison like! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! There are so nice hotels nearby at even cheaper prices incl breakfast and free parking! And employees who actually have an interest of making your stay comfortable! This place is all for your money, and as soon you have paid no one cares about you! I tried to talk nicely with the receptionist about sorting something out since I did not even stay in the room for 5 minutes, but they claim that that the parking was best possible option so they wouldn’t refund me ANYTHING even tho they lie about rooms and parking ! If you stay here! Good luck
