Best Kranj Hotels

In rather an odd location on the edge of an out of town retail area, however close to the airport and within walking distance of town. When I called from the airport the receptionist was very helpful and organised transport, within 10 minutes I was there. The hotel is clean and rooms are large. There is a buffet breakfast but no restaurant or bar, however there are a couple of bars and eateries close by or walk into town, about 20 minutes. Overall a very good deal and I would stay again.

A very good homestay, very clean and comfortable, you can cook by yourself, the backyard opens the door and there is a stream, you can see the snow-capped mountains, the owner of the homestay is also very enthusiastic and very satisfied!

Highly recommend this hotel which is nearby the airport. The hotel owner who is a couple are super friendly. Upon our arrival, they offered us free fresh juice and some eateries. Before we went to sleep, they even offered us a try of the typical local blue blurry wine. The breakfast is simple but comprises everything we need. The owner even gave us a free drive to the airport saying it is not easy to catch Taxi by that hour. As a whole we love this short but super warm day.

Just had the worst experience at Mama’s Hostel. Not because of the hostel in itself or the guests, but he manager of the hostel was being so rude and uncomfortable. To start off, he overcharged us because we came late and didn’t have a reservation (which I guess is fair enough, even though we called in advance to ask if there was room and if we could come). Then he made some weird jokes about being “a real man” and hurried us with the payment and got annoyed when we were slow at answering his questions. Later in the evening we sat in the kitchen and talked and had one beer each - he came in yelling at us, calling us rude and disrespectful for making noise this late and not closing the door. We apologised and tried to reason with him in a civil way, telling him that we hadn’t realised we were being noisy but that he could just tell us in a nice way because we didn’t know. He didn’t listen to us and just kept on calling us children and blaming the youth for not being well behaved. Then in the morning when we had checked out and was eating breakfast outside he came out and asked us if we had used the rooms that he told us to. We said that we did and it might have been a matter of miscommunication (cause honestly he was difficult to understand) but he didn’t agree and then got mad at us for that. Nice hostel and nice guest, but the rudest most immature manager I have ever come across. Really a shame.. not gonna recommend this place to anyone..

This hotel is located in a small village area near the Ljubljana airport. It's got a wonderful courtyard entrance with lots of trees and flowers. It feels very warm, quiet, and peaceful. It also has a magnificent restaurant on-site. We chose it primarily because it was close to the airport and we have a very early flight out. The staff helped us arrange for a taxi to pick us up at 4:00am, which was very helpful. They also arranged for us to have breakfast boxes for pickup since we'd be checking out before breakfast would be served. We ate at the restaurant and I'll review it (it was amazing) separately. Our only regret was that we weren't here longer, because it appears to be a great place to stay if you were going to be touring rural Slovenia.

I was looking for an accomodation near Bled, but by now the prices have become impossible, I found this small hotel after a long search on Trivago, it is located in a strategic position between Bled and Ljubljana, in the middle of nowhere. Never was a better choice, it's a nearly new hotel, or at least a very well kept one, really nice and modern, ample parking and a restaurant of excellent quality at absolutely honest prices. I arrived by motorbike with my wife on a very hot July day and, as soon as I walk in, the owner, who speaks good Italian, offered me a cold grappa that sent me into the moon. Nice room, air conditioning, excellent quality of sleep and superb breakfast, both sweet and savoury. Dinner and breakfast outside, very nice and well-kept environment, we had a really good time, I'm sorry I only stayed one night, but for sure, if I were to pass by there again, it's the hotel I'd come back to.
