Everything is at a high level. I would especially like to note the cleanliness of the staff uniform! It is clear that this (and not only this) is being monitored. As always, great bed, linen, etc.) Of the minuses, I would note the excessively high humidity in the room and the lack of a dehumidification mode for the air conditioner. Because of this, it is difficult to sleep and to breathe with humidity is also so-so. (We had villa 26)
We had a great time staying at Sojourn and being looked after by Maxie. Maxie was there to help us with bookings, errands and the best Kho Pangen has to offer. The place was kept very clean even after we had a party or two - thanks for taking great care of us Maxie! We will return!
The location is close to the pier and there is a convenience store at the door. The room is good, big and clean, the bed is very comfortable, the sea view is good but the sea is not suitable for swimming, and the service is good.

Gorgeous! The location is in a quiet place, which is what I wanted! The beach is 50 meters away)) well, ok 100m))
I was without a bike and it was ok for me to walk to the next beach and to the Pyramid yoga center too))!!!! If you are too lazy to walk, of course you need a bike!
The accommodation itself!!! Excellent! I had a brand new studio with a kitchen in white colors, there is a lot of space and it is beautiful and stylish!!! I will come back!!!! Thank you very much!!!
Don't go to this place. it is a scam. U pay for new room from the pictures and u get old basement room with no light. Owner is a fraud. Check reviews at google maps. ”AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!! We arrived 5pm (well after check in opens) the guy said come back in half hour as room isnt ready. We came back 30 mins later, he walks us round the back of the building to a horrendous looking room and says “this is it” and walks off. There were stains all over the sheets, the bathroom had no light, no working shower, there was no toilet paper and best of all he hadn’t given us a key! We obviously complained, the guy i think his name was “Boy” kept claiming it wasnt his hostel and that he was checking guests in for a friend of his, this seemed like a lie, he also kept saying personal things about his own life “i havent showered all day” “i havent seen my mum in 1 and a half years, just leave me alone”. We were like “sorry about that but can we have a decent room with basic things such as a key, light and hot water?” We had paid £459 for three nights (incredibly expensive for Thailand) and it was grim. “Boy” offered to refund us but kept saying there would be nowhere left Haadran at this time, so this is the best we can get ( dirty room with no key, no hot water and no light, really?)… we found an awesome place called “little paradise” cheaper, better in every way, lovely woman running it. We came back for our refund and “Boy” started getting aggressive, pretending to be really unhinged to try to scare us, screaming and doing these fake crazy eye expressions. it was a little bit scary for me, but it was obvious to my boyfriend he was trying hard just to scare/ provoke us, in reality he just made a fool of himself screaming in the middle of the street whilst we remained calm. We just walked away, explained the situation to Agoda the booking agent and received a full refund. I don’t wish anyone to experience such careless and aggressive treatment. Given how nice everyone is in Thailand, “Boy” is the complete opposite of kindness and hospitality. Save your energy and go somewhere else! And even the cheapest hostel around would provide you with basic things like room key, hot water and light :)”
My wife and I just spent an amazing 10 days at Baan Kiao, and one of the best parts of our stay was the incredible staff at the resort’s restaurant. They made our experience truly special. Tom was fantastic from the start—he always knew what we needed and made sure we felt right at home. TiTi, who we affectionately called “You're My Hero,” was a joy to be around. She had the perfect timing, always checking in on us with a smile and great recommendations. We also bonded with Hein Min and the rest of the team over our shared love for the game ”Mobile Heroes.” They used to chat with me (Franco) about the game, and we had a lot of fun comparing strategies and stories after their shifts. It felt like we were all part of the same crew, not just guests and staff. Even though I don’t remember everyone’s names, each person made a lasting impression with their kindness and attention to detail. A big hug from Team Franco to all of you—you guys really made our stay something we’ll never forget. We’re already looking forward to coming back with our kids Dani and Sara and catching up, both in the restaurant and in the game (better with Dani :) For anyone planning a visit, definitely try the breakfast—we loved it so much we had it several times. The staff here are more than just attentive; they’re genuinely wonderful people who will go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing time. Thank you, Tom, TiTi, Hein Min, and everyone else, for making our 10 days so special. We can’t wait to see you all again!
My husband and I had only booked for 1 night originally but after arriving and being greeted so warmly by Taylor, seeing the beautiful room and swimming in the incredible sea right off the hotel, we extended for 5 days. At the end we still didn’t want to leave. We found this to be the perfect place to relax _ by day we swam, took the kayak to a nearby beach, ate great pizza at the hotel, enjoyed breakfasts cooked to order at the hotel, had beers at sunset and walked to the town in 5 minutes for amazing and inexpensive massages. Regarding restaurants in town, we really enjoyed the French Thai place (Luca?) and the place where there is a sole woman chef. The hotel is owned by an interior decorator and the rooms are decorated with great attention to detail. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The hotel is small and quiet -only the sounds of the ocean at night. It’s wonderful to hear the rain on the roof as well. We enjoyed our days and nights so much we didn’t even rent a scooter to explore the east side of the island. We coupled our stay here with a hotel near the full moon party beach and I feel the juxtaposition of the 2 experiences was perfect. We are already discussing when we can return to Sand in My Shoes. It’s a must_ whether you are solo, a couple or a family with 3 kids. Kudos to Taylor and the owner- well done! Also, we are beach snobs and this was hands down one of the most spectacular beaches we have ever been to _ the sand, the water, the waves. Perfection.
We originally booked 3 nights but extended this 3 times as this hotel is such a great place to stay. Firstly the staff are fantastic. The 2 ladies who we spoke to on reception; Gel and Tuk, were super friendly and helpful. Also the lady; You, who works in the restaurant is super sweet and always remembered things about us which made our stay feel personal. Not only are the staff amazing but the place is spotlessly clean. Rooms cleaned everyday and clean bed sheets and towels provided daily. The location is great, a 2 minute walk to the closest beach and a 5-10 minute walk to full moon beach. If I were to offer some suggestions I would say some chairs on the balcony would be great but that is a very minor detail. Overall we feel this hotel is excellent value for money and above all else the staff make this hotel particularly great. Would definitely recommend staying here.
I don’t know where to begin….very small room and bathroom but that didn’t bother us as long as it’s clean wich wasn’t ☹️ the sheet where stained and yellow, same thing with the pillows and the towels where yellow stained and one of them had a hole in it 😆 they didnt give us sope and said that they don’t do that ( first hotel from 5 that we did in thailand that don’t give you sope)… they forgot everyday to give us water until we ask for…the outside was nice… the beach low tide until around 20h so you can’t swim all day…the pool was small and with plenty leaves but that’s ok because of the trees all around but the yellow stains everywhere in the pool was dirty (the pool is covered with paper not paving so you can imagine the yellow stains all over the white plastic cover) and on top of that they don’t have a water recyclying system i guess that’s why it taste weird… the end was not that good also 😩😩 the manager booked us a taxi with 200 bath and the taxis all over drove us with 150 bath… and the driver was with no surprise her father !! She also booked us a ferry to koh samui and unfortunately we missed it by one minute (they are verry ponctual) and when we were on the pier they told us the hotel will refund you and book another in a few hours so we rented a bike and went there and the manager said we wont refund you !! And you should know that every desk of the ferry company does refund so what was the problem !!…. In general it was a horrible experience in august 2023 !! Don’t go there Try rung arun resort because we stayed there for one night it was very clean smells very good and a big room with even a microwave and a private balcony with a kind of garden in front you feel alone in your own space <3 … we regretted that we didn’t stay there :( and it’s cheaper 😅😅 supid decision ever :(
Wow - this hotel blew us away! Firstly the staff are all so lovely, kind and friendly and always happy to help! They work hard keeping the hotel and grounds looking gorgeous, tidying the beach, and we even saw them setting up a gorgeous area for a beach proposal. The rooms and decor are beautiful. Everything has been thought of and it creates a calm tranquil atmosphere. The lighting on an evening is stunning!! Very special! The pool and bar area are perfect and it’s right on the beach. There aren’t many sun loungers, a previous review did mention this but we never struggled to get one and actually had plenty of choice, no idea where everyone was hiding! Pool is gorgeous and we loved the happy hours 12-2 and 5-7. Mojitos are delicious and watching the sunset with one in hand from the beach is amazing. Breakfast is lovely!! Get the banana pancakes you won’t be disappointed! :) Fresh fruit is tasty too but the eggs were never cooked enough. Which is my only tiny bit of feedback. We don’t usually eat at the hotel restaurant but this one was an exception - a gorgeous setting and some of the best food we’ve had all holiday! Recommend the beef massaman, cashew nut chicken and the satay. Thanks for a brilliant stay we can’t recommend this hotel enough!

IInna777The hotel is located a little far from civilization. You need to be prepared for this. The nearest 7 eleven is a 20 minute walk. This was not a problem for us. We stayed for 2 days and spent them entirely at the hotel. I didn't want to go out anywhere. At first glance, everything seems a little outdated, but the area has such a cool, relaxing atmosphere that after 5 minutes you forget about it. We lived in a wonderful Villa with a pool and sunset views right from the balcony. Breakfast and dinner were included. The food was divine. The staff is very attentive. Everyone knows what villa you live in, what kind of coffee you like, etc. It was very surprising. The hotel has a beautiful beach - although in the afternoon, because... in the first half, due to the tide, the beach goes under water. But in the afternoon it opens and it’s very cool to walk there. The places are very picturesque.
GGuest UserI had travelled to Haad Rin for the first full moon party post covid with two fellow travellers (aged 25-35). Moonstone was an incredible place to have this experience from. As a female in a room by myself I felt incredibly safe. Stefan and Joy who own the property are on hand for all your needs; scooter rental, laundry, drinks and good conversation. The property only has ten rooms making for a very intimate stay, all rooms have a beautiful view and most overlook the sea or both pool and sea - this was certainly a stay where I didn't feel guilty to lounge by the pool. Moonstone is also an excellent location to explore North and South, I did not feel as though I was missing out not staying in central Haad Rin. I am already missing my balcony where I finally enjoyed a nice bottle of red wine from the local supermarket! A big shout out to Stefan and Joy for also escorting us to the full moon and giving us all the help and advice we needed. This is possibly the nicest stay I had in Thailand.
GGuest UserThe hotel is 4 stars. And this is clearly visible in everything. The service, room cleaning are all excellent. The staff here is very friendly, fulfills all requests. The location is near the hotel. This is where it wins. It is located on a beautiful beach next to the Anantara hotel. Close, within walking distance all infrastructure: shops, restaurants, cafes, laundries, bike and car rental, exchange offices, massages, etc. From Thong Sala Pier it takes 30 minutes, a taxi costs approximately 1000-1500 baht, depending on the number of people. There are downsides to the hotel: 1. The biggest downside is the breakfast. It’s disgusting. Everything is tasteless, the pastries are old, there are no fresh juices, it’s impossible to drink coffee from the machine. 2. The room is very small, the bathroom always smells damp and musty. Upon request They install an aromatic liquid, but it lasts literally for 2 hours. 3. The quality of linen and pillows leaves much to be desired. Results: The hotel is good, a solid four. If you want to live on the shore of a beautiful beach, then choose it.
DDizzzThe Vannee is a 3.5 star hotel but we can’t do half stars here. The hotel lacks details on most ends but overall a decent place to stay. The breakfast was not good for the 2 days of our stay. The true standout aspect of this hotel is the massive pool that expands the length of the grounds. There is a swimup pool bar.
YyesphuaStayed here for 3 days, think it's family run lodge. The hotel room key was really a key, a big one. The door creaked when opening but overall the room was nice, amenities was good. When requested for a kettle, the kind old lady provided me very fast....very nice. Pity did not make use of the swimming pool as it was hot for 2 of the days there. A short walk to a food court nearby, Thongsala Square (where the race start)...and the Walking Street where they had a nice night bazaar on Saturday, pity it rained halfway. Also a short walk to Phantip Market area. But definitely need taxi to the site of Full Moon Party lol Yes, also had a lot of tour agencies just outside the hotel. And laundry services, I did mine at a cheap 80 baht...and it came back ironed and with a nice fragance ...Highly recommended. (ok, they do have some self service laundry too at 30 bht per kg??? but definitely not ironed??)
GGuest UserThe owner from Manchester are such lovely people. They offer daily trips for their guests so nobody will feel lonely while staying at this place. The employees are always friendly and it is really different than other places. You feel like coming home. The vibes are amazing ! I don’t really care about internet connections, because I remember Phangan when there was no 24/7 stores and nobody had mobile phones and there was no internet available.
A warm welcome place to connect to other people easily. And again: the vibes are really amazing !!! Both thumbs up. P.S.: I don’t recommend the dorm room, but for students and young people who don’t have big budgets it is cool that this way of accommodation still exist.
AAlenaPros: a good beach, a quiet bay with clear water and no waves or algae, very few people, there are at most 5 small hotels on the entire beach. In the evening there are restaurants on the beach.
Cool massage at the hotel with a gorgeous view of the sea, we liked it, we went every day.
Nice pool, beautiful small area, standard breakfast without excess, but you didn’t leave hungry.
Very nice staff, they helped solve any questions! They even moved us to a more expensive room without extra charge.
Everything in the room is ascetic, but for convenience there is everything you need.
Of the minuses: remoteness from civilization, you definitely need transport, at least a bike, don’t run into a taxi. There’s nowhere to even buy fruit nearby, it’s a 7-10 minute bike ride to the nearest 7 elven, and you can’t walk up the hill.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and I think we would return there again!
Kkathayos ChinnapongseI came to stay at Sunrise resort 1st time in June and recently a few day ago. I have to say that I am very happy with Sunrise Resort...lots better than I expected. Start from the location..which is right on Had Rin white sand beach. Good location for full moon party and of course very peacfull before and after. You can easy go down to the beach early in the morning to watch the sunrise and at night to see the moon and enjoy nice cool sea air with your favorite drinks. My room was nice& clean. i got my room on the 2nd floor both time....good ocean view and swimming pool. All staff from the restaurant / front desk /and beach bar are very friendly . All the boys and Pee Kul at the beach front bar are very joyfull. Pizza and cheese burger is the best ...Thai manu also good. Breakfast was good...I got chicken fried rice every morning...and of course you can chose another manu. Location of the resort is easy walk from Had Rin pier when you arrive the island. Around resort you can find lots of restaurants and lots of shops and lots of things to enjoy. There's also a few motorbike rental shops.. you can go places around Koh Pang Ngan easy . will definitely come back and stay again here.
MMartinOverall the hotel was nice but in several point not what we expected: We booked a „villa with sea view“. There was no sea view at the villa that was assigned to us. You couldn’t see the sea neither from within the villa nor from the pool nor from the sun beds nor from the outside bath tub. The only way to see a glimpse of the sea was to stand up on a certain spot on the terrace. That’s not what we expected from a room advertised as „with sea view“ and the (trip.com) booking page also suggested otherwise. When we complained, we got assigned another villa where we could see the sea partly. Thank you for that. However, the manager told us that the photos from the booking page were in fact another villa. But it's not my responsibility to make sure that the photos and pictures provided on booking pages are correct. The hotel has to take care of that! This holds also true for the next issue: The gym was closed due to renovation. In the booking process, they advertised a huge fitness center with lots of machines. Now it’s shut down and we did not get any information about this. The „mini gym“, which does not even have at least one multi exercise machine, is nothing but a bad joke and no replacement at all for a proper gym! Again the staff told us they would inform about this on their website. When I checked that, I still found the photos of the large gym on their own website. It was just called ”mini gym”. But how am I supposed to know what they mean by that and that the provided photos are no longer correct??
DDoroZaI was a week at the Tharathip Resort at Koh Phangan and I have absolutely nothing to expose. The staff is very helpful and premature. I always sat on the terrace with my laptop on the lunch and drank a coffee, the staff were careful and already knew exactly how I loved my coffee and brought it to me without having to order any ; -) The rooms were exactly as described. Clean, spacious and with a balcony with sea view. The beach before the door is not suitable for swimming, but there are enough others on Koh Phangan. Just rent a roller and explore the island. The accommodation has its own roller rent and is only recommended, lend the roller for several days there is a discount. The food m restaurant is also recommended, if request it is also brought to the room.
The average price for hotels in Koh Phangan is €146 on weekdays, and €144 on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
