This resort was a dream! Such quiet, beautiful views. Stunning scenery and amazing food. The villa was incredible, with a personal swimming pool and the decor was traditional Thai which is exactly what I had hoped for! The service was incredible and above and beyond! My partner had a tooth problem on our 2nd day, and they quickly found us a dentist in downtown Chiang Mai. I have already suggested this property to so many family, friends, and colleagues and will definitely return myself.
We traveled there with a fear that the hotel may not be as nice as the other Four Seasons hotels we have visited in the past. But we got there and got amazed of how the hotel is. The hotel is built around a lake. On a side of the lake there are sone rice plantation. The rooms are all around the lake and the plantation but hidden in a beautiful forest and gardens very well maintained. The hotel has, nearby the lake, an activities area including rice planting, pink buffalo bathing, pottery learning, etc. It makes you feel like you are living in a small thai village, in the middle of the nature (ok… luxury village in a luxury nature… ). The room is a “Four Seasons” room with a plus for the outside pavilion, high up from the ground and accesuble from the room through a bridge. All for the two of us to enjoy a drink and a cigar after the dinner right in the middle of the nature (luxury forest as previously mentioned…). So, you may see similar rooms in other hotels but domains as in the Four Seasons hotels you definately won find easily elsewhere. Even the pools were built by using green ceramic, so everywhere you look it is green. So relaxing for the eyes! Overall, it is hard to find the right words to describe the feelings this hotel gives you. If you are a traveler, you should not miss the Four Seasons Chiang Mai.
This is a bit like an apartment. The whole building has 4 floors. There is no elevator. It is very tiring to climb with a lot of luggage. It is suitable for more than 6 people, but not suitable for fewer people.
We stayed in the cottage for only one night. Love the hospitality here, the staff are very attentive and friendly, we received welcome complimentary drinks when we arrived at the cascade. It is so beautiful, with green scenery, peacocks & ducks around the premise. The rooms were big and clean, just be careful with the floor and go bare feet it gets very slippery with socks on. The Internet is good we had no problem with it. I sleep well to the sound of the water rushing and I can not hear the birds, ducks or peacocks at night, they go to sleep too. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, and it is a bonus with the waterfall view. Such a unique experience, everything is just so picturesque!
The place to stay is close to tourist attractions, very good location, good atmosphere, convenient transportation, has a 100 million baht view, unobstructed view, delicious food for every meal, affordable price, there are menus to choose from in many styles, excellent safety.
The location is relatively quiet, there is no commercial around, you can park, only suitable for self-driving, with baby, the hotel environment is very comfortable and comfortable, breakfast is ordering, hotel guests are free, but the efficiency is slower, for going to see early Elephants and so on suggest that everyone take it directly. Hot water is very good, cost-effective! The hotel manager is very gentleman, can book a day trip program, we participated in happy elephant, brought a baby over two years old, really a very difficult experience but very impressive. This protection camp is not Chinese except us. It is highly recommended that families with children go to the insect zoo and popo park is not a domestic experience.
Quite a gd place to enjoy natural. But reasonably, it's not a luxury location. Location is not too accessible but meant to be.

If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy a peaceful moment, this place is considered to be one of them. With full facilities served in the middle of the mountain, you can pretty much enjoy nature and feel comfortable at the same time. The breakfast was awesome for those who would like to try Asian food. Staff were friendly and helpful.
More info about the location
The hotel was not easy to access for the fortravelers who don't have cars because the place is on the mountain. However, you could try to ask the hotel for the service, if they have.
What I think could be improved
When I entered the room, there was no tissue in the toilet and no tea bag at the minibar. But maybe they have many customers to serve on that day.
LleavethewritingtomeOne of a kind Japanese inspired hotel and onsen in this region. You can’t miss this. It’s no wonder why royalty come here. The landscaping, the layout, architecture is amazing. Mon Cham camping / Glamping is delightful but after a while of semi rustic / unpredictable showers and sleeps, we enjoyed the hot onsen and shower here. We had a room with private onsen > preferred that to the public onsen that was crowded while I was there. There are 2 main onsen pools, gender separated and a cold bath. The inner onsen is good. The outdoor onsen wasn’t very clean imo. Our tatami mat room was spacious and the bedsheets covers all in mint condition - as long as you like sleeping on the floor! Breakfast is delicious with plenty of choice - mostly Japanese but with western prepared eggs options > yummy! One of our guests was celebrating her birthday and she was greeted with a slice of cheesecake at breakfast. All in all, it would have been easy to give a place like this 5 stars but the hotel rates are steep and there no similar alternative accommodation nearby. Also it’s not very high up in the mountains so no misty mountain experience if you get what I mean. our room 604 shower drainage would choke up after each quick shower, which meant the front garden would get flooded.
GGuest UserThe hotel is comparatively close to our trail running start point. Just 15-20 mins walk to the PAO park. Rooms are clean and service ladies are welcoming except one old lady at the reception counter with bad manner. Every time i meet her at the counter, she never say any words or ever a simple ”hello” . when we left and asking for refund for deosit, she replied me with the same old words ”wait a minute”. She may be the owner of this hotel, but I think she demonstrates a very bad example to her staff showing bad service manner to the customers.
GGuest UserI love Boutique hotels and have been to Chiang Mai before, so I was a tiny bit worried about staying outside the centre/town, but needn't have worried. This place is so beautiful and flawless my boutique hotel heart skipped a beat! Service is impeccable, spa amazing, food was soooo good and the room beautiful and comfortable. The hotel arranged for me a private driver to Chiang Rai as well as pottery class in Chiang mai and unique temple visits also in Chiang Mai. I loved their afternoon delights and I'm happy to report I still have them at home and smile when I see them. (I won't spoil the surprise.) Just go - you'll be happy here!
CColdconverseWe had a pleasant and peaceful stay up in the mountains. The images of the room were accurate and the family suite was spacious enough for 4 adults. The owners were helpful and responsive, food is available all day (till 8pm) and they cook the best porridge for breakfast. Do note that even though the Google location of the homestay is correct, the route to reach there is incorrect. We were horribly misled by Google; thankfully, a friendly local eventually guided us to the place. Guests should WhatsApp the owners for guidance on how to get there.
AAutumnLeafThe hotel is about 10-15 min drive from Nimman. Really convenient if you have a vehicle. But not really accessible without one. Cleanliness not really that clean in my opinion. Doesn't provide toothbrush so buy one from 7-11.
CCynthiaInteresting experience where we had dinner (bbq) and breakfast delivered to our room. View was great from the balcony. Room was clean.
Only downside was there was no amenities surrounding after sunset. So make sure to have extra food for those who require supper. Also, be prepared to live with some insects or flies that flew in from the nature.
We loved staring at the greenery and breathing in the natural fresh air, which we can’t get the experience in the city. A good getaway from the bustling city life.
Highly recommend for those looking for such experience
AAnonymous UserPlace quite private and secluded.. it’s different kind of experience, more to nature set up so don’t expect pristine like hotel.
But their staff service is beyond amazing, especially to P’May, she is arranging everything for us from transportation and everything we need around the camping, she is very accomodating and make our stay very comfortable.
Our room is comfortable with nice view.
Breakfast is simple but everything prepared freshly.
Must order their Thai BBQ for evening dine in experience at your own balcony.
Overall we are quite happy with our stay.
GGuest UserMy family and I spent a wonderful night here, the beautiful and peaceful environment made my mood very peaceful, my children loved it here, they could run on the grass and play in the swimming pool, thank you for this wonderful experience, in addition, the hostess was very nice and helpful, the price here is also very reasonable, if you come to Chiang Mai, highly recommend Maerim, if you come to Maerim, don't miss here.
GGuest UserThe location couldn’t have been more perfect , it was convenient, beautiful, and exactly what we were hoping for. The team was so warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely amazing, with every dish being flavorful and beautifully presented. A special mention goes to the hostess, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth and that we had everything we needed. It was truly an exceptional experience, and I can’t recommend it enough!
