Hotel is clean rooms are a bit on the small side Staff are very good and happy to help Breakfast is Turkish but can order a full English for about £6 Best bits are the hotel is on the beach front with all the bars and restaurants The only downside and it's a big one is the photos of the hotel on on the beach are totally different as the restaurant is all plan white with no atmosphere The photos on the website are old photos and need updating

A modern hotel on the seashore, with a very convenient location in Marmaris. The hotel is clean and cozy, with a very beautiful view on the sea. Delicious food, polite staff, there is wifi in the rooms and on the beach, it was very nice to get a plate of fruit in honor of the birthday. In general, we really liked the hotel, Inna at the reception will help with any question, Özcan is very friendly and can teach Turkish words 😄. A good hotel for activity holiday!

We have just returned from this hotel and did not have a pleasant experience. Myself and my daughter arrived after 1am. We were greeted by a sullen looking young man. There was no warm welcome or in fact any welcome. He just checked us in and gave us our room key. I had my tip money ready in my hand to give the ‘bell boy’ or whoever helped us (as is the norm in Turkey) but no offer was made so we went up with our luggage on our own. The room was clean but very small and dated. We were on the 4th floor and had a partial sea and pool view which was pleasant. The beds weren’t very comfortable (the legs on one side of my daughters bed kept going in to the bed base which tipped the bed on its side. The first time it did it it was late so she has to sleep like that and her back hurt the next morning. The pillows were hard. House keeping was good. Our room was cleaned daily and towels were always replenished and the beds were changed. The cleaning ladies were very nice. Our first morning at the hotel there was literally nothing left to eat for breakfast so we went out to get something. It was the end of the Turkish holidays and the hotel seemed to be full so we just assumed this was the reason why. The next morning it seemed a little better. The selection wasn’t great but typical for a budget hotel in Turkey. However the selection of drinks was not typical. At breakfast you have the option to have a cup of tea or coffee (providing the machine had been turned on or if it had any milk which it didn’t always) to us this was simply unacceptable. We had paid for Soft all inclusive and there wasn’t even a juice machine at breakfast (this is the first time I have ever seen this anywhere in Turkey after visiting for 20 years) Our option was ‘fill your own bottles up with water’ and a coffee if you were lucky ( I wasn’t lucky every day) At 11am ‘the pool bar’ opened. I use this term loosely as it isn’t like any bar I have seen anywhere before. The refreshments on offer was so limited it was actually unbelievable. I feel like I have been robbed, it really was disgraceful. I paid to have ‘unlimited drinks’ which I did not get. Myself and my daughter aren’t big drinkers so we were happy to book ‘soft all inclusive’ but certainly were not happy with the drinks that were on offer. My daughter is diabetic so we only ever drink sugar free drinks, they did not have any. I enjoy a lager or 2 in the sun of an afternoon on holiday. 2 days they didn’t have any. I went to speak to the receptionist and he told me ‘they were coming’ Which is not acceptable when you have paid for something, it should be there. The other issue was the boy on the bar who didn’t understand a word I said. I can speak some Turkish so I tried to order in Turkish but he didn’t even understand when I said ‘su!’ The other issue was when there occasionally was a bottle of beer he would simply take it from the fridge and place it on the bar. He didn’t open the bottle or offer me a glass. There was

Spectacular 33 bedroom luxury hotel set agains thr backdrop of what must be the most beautiful bay in the area. A must for food lovers, sailors and anyone that wants to explore the region on foot and by sail boat. Don’t miss the Hemithea temple which will soon be excavated. Top marks.

Fabulous location. Beach, pool, restaurant access was conveniently located and great. 10% food discount. Staff were most obliging. Best frozen Raspberry Daiquiris and Tuna Pizza!

Very good design, nothing extra. A spacious room! There is a kitchen in the room, but except for cups, there were no tea spoons. The mattress is not super comfortable. The location is good - close to everything.

After a long flight from Aberdeen we arrived at the Grand Azur at around 03:00. Fortunately reception were very welcoming and efficient and in no time we’d checked in and on the way to our room. However having read about the “grab and go” and not eating on the flight we made a quick diversion to grab a coffee, a couple of bottles of water, a baguette and some fruit to tide us over until breakfast. An absolute god send and very welcome. After a nice lie in our first morning we eventually got up around 10:30 worried what would be left for breakfast and would we get a sunbed. We needn’t have worried. Even turning up after 11:00 there was plenty of choice. Whether I settled for toast, fruit and yogurt, an omelette or a cooked breakfast, breakfast was great every morning. As for sunbeds, even at 11:30 when we eventually made the pool we found 2 together easily. Obviously if you’re an early timer and up at 08:00 then you’ll have more choice but there is no need to get up at the crack of dawn planting towels. Whilst staff didn’t mind people using the loungers before 09:00, you couldn’t put towels down and leave, they would be removed. But after 09:00 they understand people will need to leave for breakfast, dinner, go to the bar etc. Can’t say what the situation is like at other times of the year but for us in October we never had a problem or saw anyone else have a problem with sunbeds at the pool or beach. Both the beach and pool have their own bar well stocked with beer, wine, tea / coffee, water, juice. If we thought breakfast was good, it was a pleasant surprise to find that dinner and tea was even better. Lots of choice and plenty of options for even the fussiest of eaters. The quality of the ingredients and cooking was phenomenal. I found the Azur to be a real foodie’s delight and the best buffet restaurant I’ve eaten at. I’d also recommend visiting the A La Carte, Levante restaurant on the fifth floor. Great views and again the food was fantastic. The entertainment was great. Particular highlights for us were the Mongolian Circus, Dream Girls, Rainbow Classics and the Goldentones. One night after a great show the lead singer of the Goldentones stayed on DJ’ing for an hour, playing disco and dance classics from the 80’s, 90’s and 99’s. The best night we’ve had in a long time, everyone was up dancing. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and attentive ensuring you were kept topped up with drinks, clearing empty plates in the restaurant. A big shout out to Bayram in the restaurant who ensured we were full of Turkish tea, coffee and orange juice whenever we were in the restaurant. Also our cleaner Serap who did a fantastic job keeping our room clean and tidy. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and like a lot of people who we spoke to (I’ve never been to a hotel where so many people were return visitors) will definitely be returning.

The location is very nice, right in the middle of Marmaris. The most important thing for my family was the sea, it was just a 3-minute walk from the beach. We liked the food very much, it was very good in terms of variety. Especially the alcohol quality was very good, it surprised me a lot. However, there was no air conditioning in the common room where the rooms on the 5th floor were located, and when we left the room, we felt as if we were entering a sauna. Other than that, everything was great, thank you to the whole team. You can travel safely.
