My family and I traveled to Waco for a college football game at Baylor University. This hotel is within 10 minutes from McLane Stadium. The hotel has a nice exterior and interior. The front desk staff are helpful and welcoming. This hotel has a restaurant; however, we did not visit the restaurant since there were so many options near the hotel such as Casa Ole Mexican Restaurant (one of my favorites), Cracker Barrel and I HOP to same just a few. The suite was comfortable and clean.

Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 11km from Waco James Connall Airport and 35km from McGregor Station. I liked this motel. Excellent price point, decent mattress, good pillows that were plentiful—I asked and received 2 more during my stay, and pretty quiet. It doesn’t have the amenities of a $300 + a night hotel room and that’s okay, because I am only interested in a decent place to stay for the night. The Indian family who runs this hotel is lovely and hard working. They made my stay all the better. Very kind people. When I travel I stop by Target for cheap pillows bc usually the pillows aren’t very good in lower price point hotels but in this case their pillows were actually awesome and I didn’t need the ones we bought. I left the bought pillows in the room and I got a call from the management letting me know I forgot my items. Now in this day and age who does that??! The nice people who run this hotel do that. Thank you!!!

Everytime ive came to this hotel, the big gut working is truely a person who's got no clues on hotels chains names.hescrather dumb on the facts of the name has all to do if your goingvto get bussiness. I'm sick that he's so not willing to honor the days inn standards.if someone in the corp office office of the days inn could please go to this bellmead hotel and see how they treat us custumers.omg. make a revation& I clearly stated when making this resvation I would be needing this room every week for the next 6months & we will be needing a early check in.by 1am to 12noon.they granted us this request. When I got to this property.im told yo come back afterc239 3pm.i said when we made the reservation they said we could check in early.well this petson tells me it's not up to days inn to say anything about there customer checking in. Oh ok.then I was charged 50 deposit for what? I paid 118.00 & $30.00 for early check in & a 50 deposit.for what.so we paid 200.00 almost for a room that's never worth 50.them people then wouldn't give us our 50 deposit back.they made us wait over 2weeks before I receive it back on my card.im not sure why they are so disrespectful to folks who's a day inn customer. I refuse to go back to this hotel cause every time we have to go through he'll to get a room.its sad,but if they keep running the days inn franchise name down.id the sign says days inn.u have to follow there rules and standards. But I was told there privately owned and they do what they want.wow that's when I choose to take my bussiness to Marriott. They've got the best employees there .I demand a investigation of their 5o.oo deposit& I wouldn't ever stay if it's nor carrying that name.hugw oroblwm
The first thing is that the construction on I35 makes getting into this hotel difficult. It's bad enough during the day but God help you (me) if you arrive at night. You have to go through all kinds of back roads to get there and it's sketchy and stressful if you aren't familiar with the area. My room smelled musty and damp. I cranked down the A/C which helped. The room is large and the bed/linens are okay, BUT. There is not a single USB port in the whole room. Cigarette burns on sofa cushions. Light bulb in vanity area out. Make-up mirror was greasy and nearly fell off the wall when I touched it. Bottom drawer of chest wouldn't open at all and the middle drawer bottom was bowed and broken. Rusty metal throughout, no turntable in microwave= useless. Grout in bathroom was filthy. Good things: Carpet seemed new, room was large, two windows, nice front desk guy, ice machine worked. Good water pressure and plenty of pillows.

Everything including the breakfast was great, except for the pool. It was inside, small, smelled like chlorine so badly that the moment we walked in it burned our eyes. We couldn’t even stand to get in the water. No ventilation whatsoever! My suggestion would be to make an out for ventilation!
We came into Waco late and looked for a hotel. After a few calls and talking to other hotels, being transferred to corporate offices that were closed, etc - we were exasperated ( and already exhausted from driving all day). We called Hampton Inn North and Courtney “Pop” answered. He was so friendly and helpful that it was a relief for us to find a “real, alive person “ who seemed to care if we got a room. He gave us directions through the horrible construction area and said he would be looking for us. He was cheerful and helpful, we felt that we had been welcomed to Waco! Then to get up to a lovely breakfast… good coffee, cheese omelette, French toast, and sausage. This was such a surprise after the bagel, cereal, apple meals that we had been getting at other hotels. Karen outdid herself!
