Upscale with a soul to it. Really liked the stay at Avalon. Wasn't chocked by all the design features though but indeed a very good hotel. Feels friendlier and less stiff than similar options in the city to my opinion.

Booked a three night stay here. Two couples. Check in was great. Given a welcome drink on arrival. Rooms were ready. Going up in the elevator it got stuck but we didn't mind cause mum got a fit of the giggles and nearly wet herself. Anyway.. Rooms were modern and smallish in size but had everything we needed. Great shower and coffee making facilities. Had drinks at the bar with other guests which was fun Rodeo drive doesn't bother me. I'm not into wasting tons of money so we went to the Queen Mary in Longbeach instead. Ate once in the restaurant. Food was great. Met many of the staff and they were all friendly and helpful. Met the manager too. He sat with us for a while talking about the hotel etc etc. He was a fun guy. Only thing we didn't like was the noise from the floor above but that was all. Just someone walking back and forward in high heels all night on wooden floor. Hardly the owners fault. Maybe one day he will put thick rugs down. But I wish him well. Hotel is named after his brother so I wish him every success.

One of the most satisfying hotels in Los Angeles, a little-known restaurant on the first floor. The food is amazing. I’ve never been there. I really didn’t know there was such a treasure restaurant hidden here.
The room facilities are good and new. The internet is great and the bed and pillows are very comfortable.
Toiletries need to be requested and not provided proactively.
The room cleaning was very timely and attentive.
The location is great, just off Rodeo Street, a few minutes walk away.
The only drawback is that the floor is low, close to the road, and a bit noisy.

Those who are looking for a hotel that goes above and beyond, The Peninsula Beverly Hills is the perfect choice. From the minute we walked into the door, the hotel was 5-star in every single aspect. The rooms are beautiful and handy, from the digital tablet that controls all the settings for your room, the printer under the desk, the radio and television, to the continually replenished plate of fresh tangerines on the table, the floral curtain design, and the unique monogrammed pillows that you get to keep. They are spacious and light, thanks to their floor to ceiling windows. The location is convenient, walking distance to Rodeo Dr and other main streets and shops in Beverly Hills. Not to mention that the hotel offers free drop-offs within Beverly Hills, in either their iconic Rolls-Royce Phantom, Cadillacs or BMW limousines, a fantastic way of getting around! The rooftop area is ideal, and you mustn’t miss out on visiting it during your stay. Due to the size of the hotel, it being smaller than the others in Beverly Hills, The Peninsula feels more exclusive, is less busy and it enables the staff to pay more attention to individual guests. The pool, rooftop, gym and spa are all top-notch facilities. The staff are excellent, the building is beautiful, clean and well maintained, the food at breakfast is all one can ask for and the garden and lobby are full of divine, fragrant flowers. Of all the places to stay in central Beverly Hills, nothing comes close to The Peninsula standard, the epitome of luxury. Final Scores: Location - 10 Cleanliness - 10 Comfort - 9 Facilities - 10 Staff - 10 Value for Money - 10 Total - 10/10

It was the worst hotel.
I stayed because it was the stage of Pretty Woman, but I am dissatisfied. Arrived by UBER from the road side.
There was a bellboy, but he didn't even help me unload my suitcase from the car.
I'm just standing there blankly. Even though I checked in after 16:00, there was no twin bed room that I had reserved. When I complained, I was told to wait for 20 minutes, so I reluctantly went to the front desk.
I decided to wait on the sofa next to it, but it didn't come to tell me that the room was ready even after 30 minutes. When I asked what happened to the front desk, they said that they had forgotten about it, and I didn't even think they were apologetic. I had a cup of tea at a stylish restaurant on the first floor with a view of the outside, but even if I asked the guide to pay the bill, he wouldn't move. After 20 minutes, the fourth person finally paid the bill. I received the lowest treatment even though I stayed at a super luxury hotel. On top of that, the hotel union was on strike, and from 6:00 in the morning to noon, we put up placards in the hallway of the hotel and shouted drums and shouted loudly. It's noisy and I can't relax.
In the room, there was a notice paper and earplugs saying that the strike would cause trouble. The strike seems to have no end in sight. If I knew there was going to be a strike, I should have informed them before my stay and had canceled it. Even though I paid a high price, it turned out to be the worst trip ever. I think I was clearly racist from the front desk, bellboys, waiters and other hotel staff. Because they were amiable to white customers.
Employees working in such a hotel understand the feeling of wanting to strike.

My wife and I stayed here for a few nights on a baby moon before heading to Palm Springs. Really enjoyed this hotel. The bed was comfortable, we were in a nice Jr. suite with a sitting area, huge marble bathroom, and a great palm tree view. Breakfast was really good - espcially with our status which made it basically free and the location (definitely need a car - it's LA, afterall) felt safe and nice. Downside was that there were 2 events the night we arrived - seemingly schmancy - which made the hotel a bit busier that one might like. That said, no noise made it up to our room, thankfully. Overall, would definitely stay again.

I booked the Waldorf to experience a 5 star hotel for my birthday. It turned out to be the most stressful and negative hotel experience I've ever had. I checked in on my Hilton Honors app the day ahead for a 3:00pm arrival. I got there around 3:30 and was told my room wasn't ready yet as the previous people who stayed there checked out late. It would be ready in around 30 minutes. I was fine with a short wait and they suggested I check out the pool and rooftop restaurant so that was what I did. Needed a key to go up there so waited for someone to come out for a few minutes to give me access. Unfortunately according to one the guest services people, the pool was closing at 4:00pm for a sellout event so I literally sat down for a minute and was told they were closing in 5 minutes. Rooftop had a nice view and I made a dinner reservation for 6:45pm so I can watch the sunset while dining, figuring that would give me plenty of time to freshen up, rest and change before dinner. I was so wrong. Checked with them a little after 4:00, another person tells me they need 35 more minutes to work on the room. I checked again at 5:00, and was told another 15 minutes. Took until 6:30 before I was able to get into my room. A whole 3 hours so I had no time for a shower or even much of unpacking my small bag. They did give me dining credits that the woman who gave me the keys confirmed was $300 along with another $50 HH credit but upon checkout, it was only $250 credit from the hotel. Fine, but seems like all their front desk people lie through their teeth. Room was spacious and had dimmer and bright lighting which was nice. View was street side facing the Starbucks across the street. They gave me a mobility access room which meant it had a walk in shower that's level with the toilet. Since the tub had a extension shower head with very weak water pressure, I wanted to take a shower with a regular shower head. Impossible since the mobility access shower had a hole in the hose so when I turned it on, it just sprayed water everywhere but no water would come out of the shower head. So had to shower in the deep narrow tub that was very hard to turn around. I did report this to the front desk the next morning and the person assured me they would fix the shower since if a guest who's mobility challenged needs to use that shower, it needs to be working. Well, when I checked out 2 hours later and mentioned it to another person who was checking me out, he said there was no note on that room. I swear those front desk people just smiles to your face and lies all day. As I mentioned, I wanted to stay at this hotel for my birthday to relax and be stress-free. The experience with the check-in was so stressful because I really wanted to be able freshen up and get some rest in my room before dinner, I almost felt like crying from frustration. Also, I was told by the HH booking agent that the hotel will have a little welcome package for my birthday and I got nothing. Even

I stayed long-term at HDF for 16 weeks from 5-2 - 8/22/2022. I had to check out due to financial issues and the hotel extended a 90-day storage courtesy for my boxes, as I have been in a lengthy transition. When I picked up my items on Day 87 on 10/30/2022 (Sunday), I wasn't too surprised to see several of my luxury items stolen (5 bags, 2 wallets, 2 sunglasses, and even a pair of desk scissors). I was falsely informed by Kathy, the weekend front desk clerk, on 10/22 (Saturday) that there were cameras where my boxes were stored and that nobody was going through them. When I discovered my items were stolen upon pick-up, her guilty body language (several long pauses and avoiding eye contact) was a dead giveaway that she was involved with Gloria, the Central American housekeeper who works on Sundays with her two daughters. It was clear that the theft occurred on a Sunday when both of them were working together, as I know the Saturday housekeeper was not involved and had always been suspicious about Gloria. Most likely the stealing occurred between 10 AM-4 PM on 8/28, as it was the earliest Sunday after my checkout the previous Monday on 8/22 and the hours when both Kathy and Gloria were working. There is no physical evidence, but it is evident that these two thieves were the culprits. After filing a report with the Beverly Hills Police, I spoke with Kathy to clarify the matter about the cameras and she immediately got defensive, knowing she had changed her story about the cameras. I shot back that I know it was her and Gloria who stole my items and she freaked out before hanging up on me. With the stolen items valued at over $6,000 total, this crime is classified as a felony due to it exceeding $5,000 in stolen property. Of course, the hotel maintains that it is not their responsibility that an unjust theft occurred. I was even told by the evening front desk clerk that ”nobody here steals.” Well, it is a fact that two thieves work at this property and have absolutely no qualms about stealing from their guests.
