MMark Pe We had a terrible experience at the Mulberry. But I will start with the good. The exterior and public areas are well-lit and look like they are well taken care of. Check in was smooth, however, the trouble for us started when we got to our room and immediately smelled a strong odor of stale cigarette smoke. We set our bags down and began to survey the rest of the room which looked nice, when the smoke detector beeped. Then 30 seconds later beeped again and continued on. We went to the desk and requested a different room after explaining the situation. There was no empathy from the clerk, No apology as she told us, “ there are no more rooms.” I asked her if there was a maintenance person she could call about the smoke detector and she went on to explain to me that there is no one she can call, the owner lives over an hour away, and she was not willing to call another hotel in the area for me. I told the clerk that I wasn’t willing to tamper with a smoke detector in a hotel, and asked her how this was my problem? Again, no empathy and no indication she would do anything to assist with the problem. We returned to the room to stash our luggage, and began searching for other hotels in the area. After we found several highly rated hotels that had rooms available, The clerk called our room and said she had called the owner, and the owner was responding. It was after 9:30PM, we had been traveling all day during a cross country move, and we decided to go to waffle House down the street for dinner while we decided what to do. We decided that even if the owner showed up with a ladder and a 9 volt battery (over an hour later) to fix the smoke detector, the room still reeked, and by morning we would too. We booked at a nearby national chain and had a very nice room and good service. When we checked out after our dinner And asked for a refund, the clerk responded by telling us “I can’t do that“. Which was not surprising after her other responses to our concerns. The next day the charges were reversed and we were happy with that. My impression is that the owners probably do a nice job with this place overall, but this clerk was not trained in any kind of customer service or dealing with issues, and was utterly helpless when it came to even small issues. Their maintenance people dropped the ball by not replacing the smoke detector batteries on a schedule ahead of time, and their housekeeping dropped the ball by signing off on a room that obviously stunk. The owner dropped the ball by having a clerk with poor customer service skills and no resources to address issues.

GGuest UserFabulous as always! We always enjoy our stay. Zoey Duplichain is a fantastic concierge and very attentive to the details. Our special order chocolate cake was fantastic. The water was perfect and the food is delicious. We absolutely loved it and we are going back next week! Can’t say enough about it! We love bills on the beach and Austin is a great server. The beach is great for walking at night and the atmosphere is great. Plenty of things to do and lots to see for everyone. We love golden nugget. The black jack is wonderful and they keep the drinks coming. We are going to celebrate my twins 21st birthday on Monday. I can’t wait it’s going to be absolutely perfect. We’ve ordered a cheesecake from Vic and Anthony’s. I’m sure it will be nothing short of amazing.

This hotel is very close to the refineries so it made going to work easy. The location makes it convenient to access the highway and get to work. The kitchenettes come with dishes fork knives pots pan coffeemakers etc. so I did not have to worry about buying those essentials. The hotel has a good gym compared to most hotels also. Gilbert at the front desk was very helpful and Sandy kept the breakfast stocked all morning. This hotel is also very new so the looks and cleanliness are there. I will be back soon.

GGuest UserWas all good as I expected really no complaints other than I didn’t win anything. I’m not a gambler but I had to try right. Stayed there on business and would have preferred more food choices in house as we preferred not to have to go out. Will stay there in the future.

GGuest UserBooked this in short notice. Easy to book. Live horse racing was fun and you are very close to the action. The casino was great the room was big very comfy and clean!! The staff is was friendly and very helpful. Can’t go wrong giving this downs a try!!!

GGuest UserThey charged me for a room even though the booking was prepaid with Trip. They would not remove the extra charge and kept telling me they needed to confirm the booking with Trip as if that was relevant after they admitted it was a mistake. I now have to dispute the charge with my CC company. Beware!

GGuest UserExcellent everything!!! Food great, service in all areas of casino great!! Rooms excellent!! I have not a 1 complaint about any of my visits at this casino!! I used to go to Golden Nugget however there point system is horrible and player rewards not good at all!! Lauberge appreciates your business and shows it by your rewards and points on your mychoice players card!!

GGuest UserLAST RESORT HOTEL!! I was in town last minute due to a death in the family. I had no other choice but to afford this hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again for ANY reason. The “manager” parks his massive truck right infront of the front door at all times. So pulling up close to unload is not always available. The lobby had a strong air freshener smell that was obviously covering up another smell. The hallway carpets are horribly stained. The hotel room smelled musty. There was a roach motel in the room, and I saw at least one roach while I was there. The sheets on the bed had some sort of brown stain all over it. Can’t believe they even put it on the bed!! There was no soap for the shower. I guess we are expected to use shampoo or the bar of hand soap by the sink. There was no teas offered with the coffee in the room (as the ad for the room states). There is also no pool, which is stated the hotel does have. The “free breakfast” was coffee, juice, and plastic packaged waffles/ muffins. I wouldn’t feed that to myself or my child. The employees were short and seemed like I bothered them by being there. What a waste. I knew not to expect much from a $60 room. At least the bed was comfortable. That is the ONE redeeming quality.

GGuest UserThe property was decent but the real Rockstar was Jupiter and the other front desk staff. I have never had staff work so hard to make sure I was accommodated. There was an issue with cleanliness and she fix it and then some. The staff the next morning was equally friendly and accommodating.
