We were here for a much needed vacation. I will grant that we were able to relax as there was nothing to do at the resort. Everything was a LONG drive away. What made me give this hotel only one star was numerous things…1. No shampoo in the shower only conditioner and when I went to call the front desk…2. Out of 3 phones in our room, not one of them worked. 3. The washer was so loud we couldn’t even hear the TV. 4. Even on the lowest setting the dryer burned my clothes and they shrunk to nothing. 5. On top of paying for the room for the WHOLE week, we had to pay $127 for parking (would have been more, but we checked out a day early) and $294 for amenities. What? Everything that was included in the amenities was what every other hotel/resort has. There was nothing special about the amenities…a pool, and a gym, although, there was a dolphin cruise, but we didn’t go. This vacation became a money pit (we also had to pay tolls whenever we drove an hour to get to the beach). What made it so bad was when we checked out, we paid the $127 for parking and that was all that was on our bill. It wasn’t until we got home a couple of days later that I found the $294 charge on my credit card, which seems dishonest to charge it after we left. We didn’t even realize there was an amenity fee, as we were never even told about it at check in. If we had have known about an extra $421 on TOP of what it cost to stay here, we NEVER would have stayed. If you are going to charge those fees, just include it in the price of the room.
Low key, excellent service, extensive menu, excellent food (check out taco Tuesdays for great deals), decent prices, bands playing sometimes (including Polka), relaxed atmosphere, the staff knows what they are doing. A true hidden gem.

We had stayed at this hotel a few years ago when visiting relatives in Florida. We booked it for a couple of days as we are moving our dad to nursing care on Cape Coral. All we wanted was a good nights sleep in a clean room. This hotel has been updated so much since we were here before. My husband was laughing at how excited I was to see Dove Body Lotion in the bath room, just coming from the Bahamas, my skins was so dry…they have Kerigs for coffee and tea in the room, new carpeting, walls and ceilings newly painted and the beds are so comfy. Just what we need for this trip. There was some music playing next door, but we had a small balcony to sit on a have a cup of tea before bed and listen to the tunes, they stopped at 9, so not any issues with that at all. We have an early start tomorrow so glad they have breakfast in the lobby. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers. We stayed in room 320 today 3/30 and will stay on 3/31 and head home on Saturday.
THIS HOTEL WAS AWESOME. CLEAN, FRIENDLY AND GREAT LOCATION. THE BED WAS MOST COMFORTABLE, ROOM WAS SPACIOUS AND COMFY. OUR KITTY WAS COMFORTABLE AS WELL, BREAKFAST WAS LIKE A USUAL FREE BREAKFAST, HOWEVER, SUNDAY MORNING WAS THE BEST. MISS KATHY MADE THE BEST SAUSAGE GRAVY WE'VE HAD. SHE WAS AMAZING. We stay at a lot of Hilton Garden Inns and this one, by far, is one of the nicest we've encountered. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The landscaping around the property (pool area and patio area by the restaurant) is absolutely beautiful. Everything is clean and well-maintained. One of my favorite ”likes” is the shampoo, lotion, and shower gel dispensers in the bathroom versus the small tubes you usually receive. This change is definitely economical for them and easy to use for us. Their breakfast menu is varied and generous in size and the fresh fruit and freshly baked breakfast breads are incredible and abundant in choices to make breakfast a real treat. Claudia is a delightful, hard-working server who really makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. The location is a plus as well, despite some road construction going on right now....don't let it deter you though, this place is top of the line!!!!!!!
Do not waste your time or money on this motel, it is a total DUMP! For $163.00 PLUS a $100.00 dollars damage deposit we got a dark room, with a king size bedd placed on a queen size headboard abd a crappy wall light above one side so you really couldn't use the whole bed! Plus another queen size bedd and an overstuffed chair placed right in front of the door. The firniture was all chipped, old and very warn. In the morning you get coffe, no breakfast at all. Wouldn't stay here for nothing!! Stay away!!,
Room bigger than a studio apartment. We stayed in a renovated room on the 4th floor. The hotel is in process of renovation; luckily, we didn't hear any construction noise. Clean (but there were some crazy ants) Amenities included Neutrogena brand soap (2 bars) shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizer. Requested another bar of hand soap. Given nice but different brand. Nice looking pool area, but we didn't get a chance to use it. I liked that they still provide an actual newspaper (USA Today) When a/c reached temp, it made a bad movie villain or cartoon laugh sound One sign said that rooms were cleaned every 4 days, another said they were only cleaned upon request! Used microwave to heat cups of tea - gave off smell of burnt marshmallows. Not sure if cups weren't microwave safe or if something burnt in microwave! Breakfast included with the room is okay. Includes beverages, oranges, scrambled eggs, french toast, make your own waffles, breads, muffins, yogurt, oatmeal and cereals. Snarky or at best not kind and accommodating reception clerk For example: Insisted we requested a room we hadn't. All signs point to 100 level rooms; He had to be prodded for directions to our room, which wasn't a 100 level room. 2nd night, noticed sign that gold and platinum level guests get bottles of water and snacks. When asked about it, clerk said it's usually given at check-in. Had to remind him he didn't do that. Bottomline, clean, comfortable room with minimal service.
