We (40 persons) have stayed in this hotel for 50 days. All the staffs here are very friendly, Janinaba, Nett, Nick, they are restaurant staff. Especially for Jainaba, she is a Muslim and very friendly to us, he learns Bahasa, so that he can communicate with us. Then one day we asked Jainaba if we could order rice for breakfast, because we really miss Indonesian cuisine. And finally Jainaba conveyed to John about our request. Thank God our request was granted by John. He gave us Kongi Rice a.k.a chicken rice as our breakfast. thanks Jainaba. Thank you All Atlanta Marriot Hotel at Galleria Staffs.
We were extremely happy with our stay. We were passing through on our way to Florida. The hotel is a fantastic spot to rest after a long drive. Rooms were large and very clean. The beds were comfortable and there is a ton of stuff to do around the area. We were very happy with the receptionist who was extremely friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and checked us in very quickly. We will 100% stay again.
Both beds are large, suitable for families with children, the hotel is very sophisticated, there is enough parking space in the parking lot, comes with a golf course, breakfast is buffet and continental, the cost is not good, great!
Very Good

Excellent
We chose this hotel for our Lakepoint baseball tournament. While it’s not close to the field, it’s very close to shopping, Truist Park, restaurants and everything else you may need. The rooms were clean (not spotless but clean) and spacious. The hotel had plenty of space for our team to spread out and a perfect open field for whiffle ball because, after playing baseball all day, blitz ball is a must. The breakfast was good with a good number of choices. The hotel seemed to have a mix of business travelers and sports teams but there were also some guests that didn’t seem to be staying at the hotel. Families came and used the pool who, when a child was injured, hopped in a car parked outside and left. Doesn’t seem to be very secure in that regard and something the hotel may want to look into. There were also interesting people who used the spaces but never went to rooms at different times during our stay. It was odd given the location. Overall we had a great stay and would I choose the hotel again.
We (family of 4) stayed here overnight on points, and although this is a budget chain located along the expressway, I had hoped this would be nice as a Bonvoy member. Checkin was fine and the building is relatively new. The room was quite large and attractive. Unfortunately, after sticking my PK kid in the tub to give them a quick rinse, I found out that the tub didn't drain (side note - wouldn't it be nice if someone, I don't know, housekeeping, could alert mgmt of clogged drains when they clean the tub? Makes me wonder how well it was cleaned). I called the front desk, and there was no maintenance person or Draino available. I asked about another room, but only Kings were available. I explained that four people need two beds, so was there an additional room we could use? The polite young woman working alone had good intentions but could only let us into another room across the hall to shower. And the kicker was, according to the manager Josh she'd called for permission, we could be in the king room with a working shower drain, but we couldn't have a key to it or we'd get charged. So we'd have to either stick a tissue box to keep it open between getting supplies, or call front desk every time to be let in to shower. Ridiculous! We showered before bed and, fortunately didn't see too many other guests in the hallways. We went to bed (in our room with the queen beds--didn't touch that king) and didn't bother with morning showers and repeating that trauma with the morning manager. Unfortunately, breakfast was a real miss too. We went down about 8:30, an hour before close, and it was cleaned out. We got the last milk carton (so cereal was ruled out as an option) for our 2 kids to share, and there were some sad-looking bread heels and a couple buffet items. There was a DIY waffle station at least for a sugar fix. The attendant said they were low because the food order hadn't been completed on FRIDAY. This was MONDAY morning, and no one had thought to pick up a loaf or bread or gallon of milk throughout the entire weekend. We left -- no point in complaining to the staff-seems to be a Marriott management fail combined with light staffing which is everywhere. But we've stayed in several similar budget chain hotels in the last month without these particular issues which seem easily preventable.
GGuest UserHotel was clean and convenient, however the bathroom door didn’t close all the way. Anytime someone needed to use the bathroom everybody had to leave the room. One of the windows was busted out, instead of fixing it they put plexiglass over it and glued the edge to the other window leaving the top of the plexiglass open. Breakfast definitely wasn’t good either.
GGuest UserWe took our 9 year old to his first two Braves games and stayed at this hotel for 4 days. We had never stayed here before, but a relative recommended the hotel. The room was clean and smelled nice. I always check the sheets and pillows. The only negative was the white thin coverlet looked pretty on top, but was covered in paint smudges or marker of some kind on the underside. We just removed it and set it to the side. The staff, for the most part, was incredibly nice and very helpful. Crystal and Marianna at the front desk were absolutely wonderful! Warm smiles and very helpful with any questions. The breakfast each day was great! The woman serving was all smiles and kept everything well stocked. Our housekeeper was super friendly and traded our towels and washcloths as well as replenished our toilet tissue and in room coffee. The only major negative to our trip was the night counter employee, Josh. He had a terrible attitude and was disrespectful and rude. Not just to us. We observed his bad attitude on our second night and experienced it ourselves on our last night. Out of respect for my son, I waited until he was comfortably back in our room before I returned to the lobby to get Josh’s name. We had been very nice and friendly when we originally entered the lobby and even asked Josh several questions about his day. He ignored us completely, and we were standing directly in front of him at the counter trying to pay for some drinks. When he returned our change he set it down behind the plastic barrier and then ignored us. We couldn’t get hold of it and asked if he could push it forward. He continued to ignore us as if we weren’t there. Keep in mind we were literally standing across the counter from him at the check in desk. My wife ended up pushing on the plastic barrier until it touched the register so she could slide the dollars out. The entire time he ignored us, even as we were asking him to please slide the money under the plastic. In an effort to avoid a conflict in front of my son we simply said, “Well then. I guess have a good night.” He still didn’t respond…. When I returned to the lobby, his excuse was, “..I have had to deal with these baseball people all week.” I was wearing a Braves shirt…. There was more with Josh, but I have made my point. So, to wrap it up, Josh is a terrible front desk representative for this hotel and needs to be moved where he has no guest contact. The rest of the staff and management are great!
GGuest UserWe booked the double tree on its reputation. Paid for early check in, requested a fridge for meds …was told no problem. We get there at 1:00 and was told we couldn’t check in until. at least 3:00 Eve. Tho they charged me for early checkin . We were two people, they told me they had no rooms available with fridge as they had given them away even tho I was guaranteed. No microwave either. The room was for two, but we get to room and it’s clearly met for one! One desk chair at a table, one lounge thingy that no one over 40 would be comfortable in, and with my handicap I couldn’t get in it! They only supplied towels for one, we had to ask for more.we are supposed to get breakfast credit, but we didn’t They gave a card for a free drink at the bay which was closed. Nothing in the room or bathroom was very clean.Oh and if you wanted the room cleaned, you had to let the front desk know in the morning before 9:am.I set an alarm to do so which I shouldn’t have to do, I am on vacation. When we got back to our room at 3 pm, it still hadn’t been cleaned, so we settled for clean towels. We were so disappointed as we chose the double tree for its reputation in the Hilton family of hotels. It was not a good experience at all!
DDavidOverall, it was not bad. The breakfast, compared to its sister hotel, was a little spartan, but there was plenty of it, and tasted fine! The access to wifi was fairly good, but the access to various television stations was so-so. Still recommend it for a few days stay!
There are a few decent people on the staff, Desmond, Lonnie, and Ms.Vivian to name a few however, there has been a recent staff turnover where a lot of the wrong people left and vice versa. The new manager is absolutely rude and disrespectful. After a fire occurred on the property recently, I witnessed her be very rude to a guest for simply asking ”when the hot water would be restored?” Really? No hot water for 2 days and you get an attitude because someone asks you a simple question? No respect or decency. They have a small problem with bugs on the property and will insist on entering your room and spraying an absolutely horrific smelling spray all over the 'inside' of your room. I've never heard of such a thing. A mouse found it's way into my room somehow. I could go on and on about this place. There are better options nearby.
