Was going to give 4 stars however I deducted one more star due to the cigarette smoking spot. I don’t care if you want to smoke, the unfortunate part is where they have their dedicated smoking area is that it’s in the nicest part of the hotel grounds. It’s between the breakfast area and pool right off the main lobby. There is a great breakfast in the morning with tables right outside this area, but virtually no one was eating out here because of the people smoking and ash trays on the tables. Literally, move the smoking area anywhere else on the grounds. Ok aside from that grievance, the rest of the hotel is decent. Staff was nice, especially the guy working the breakfast station. He was working hard, was polite, enthusiastic, and getting everyone what they needed. Rooms were decent, a bit dated but you could tell they were making some upgrades. Bed was comfy and the pillows were 5/5 due to them not being the crappy feather ones your head falls right through. Bravo! Hallways are definitely in need of new carpet. Long-standing stains and again, the smell of cigarettes lingered. The room did not smell so we had no issues with it there. Pool area is beautiful and perfect for lounging. I would recommend this hotel if you are someone with moderate expectations. It’s also in a great location to the mall and Green Lake state park.
I was scheduled to check in to the Ramada on Collamer in Syracuse, NY. I made this reservation months ago. I was greeted by the front desk employee who advised me he could not check anyone in until 3 pm at the earliest. Well, no problem. When I returned for check in there were several guests in front of me and 30 behind me. I was checked in to my room and when I got there, I found that the room was not serviced. The bed was not made, no fresh sheets or pillow cases on the pillows, no towels and seriously bad mold throughout the shower. I went back to the front desk and the manager was just walking in. She asked what was happening. I said you have 40 guests waiting and no rooms ready. The clerk told me he could move me to another room but didn't and proceeded to confirm with the house keeping associate that the new room was ready and it was not. In the meantime, I asked for the towels. The Manager said she was too busy to assist me as she had to get all other guests checked in. While I understand that, I am a guest and already waited in line and was given a dirty room. The Manager told me that the longer I stood there with looking at her with daggers the less likely she is to help me. This is UNACCEPTABLE behavior. I was a guest in the hotel. Clearly there was an issue with housekeeping, or that lack of housekeeping. The manager is ultimately responsible. It was no surprise that the hotel had 30-40 guests checking in. I asked her where housekeeping was. She advised on the second floor. There was not one person working. No clean towels or sheets. And the one housekeeper who had a cart in the hallway had no clean towels or sheets. Seriously, did she think new guests would be ok with sleeping on dirty sheets? I think not. I would also like to address the mold issue in the shower/tub. Black mold is very risky to people's health. I decided at that point that I could not jeopardize my health, so I went back to the front desk and asked for a refund on my room as I could not stay there. I I have never been treated so poorly. I am still waiting for my refund.
This Residence Inn is okay nothing special and needs work. The staff was friendly and helpful to me although they seemed new or not really caring or apologetic of issues that occurred to Marriott returning Elite members. Marriotts website says the rooms are newly reflashed. They are not the rooms are hurting they look old and worn. From what • I saw they only changed a few things like the carpets, cabinet doors, new appliances(that still looked old) and the bathroom floor. That's it they definitely did it on the cheap they should of done the it from the ground up. Our room was very dark with dead lights and lights that just did not work. Our bathroom sink was clogged to. So we went down to the front desk asking if maintenance could come and fix some things. I was told there was no maintenance on property but I could have the tool to unclogged the sink. I sad no that's not right to have me do it(I am above a Elite member). So we got another room again this room was very dark but everything did work. It was missing the TV remote but I got one at the desk. I guess my point is this hotel has a big maintenance issue and I would say some issues without staff on how they treat returning members. The hotel is old and it shows and a lack of maintenance the place will just continue getting worse. It was very clean and did not have any bad smells. The location is okay it's not fair to the city, stores, SU but there is nothing to do around the hotel grounds. Being said stay at this hotel if you want a big room some kitchen amenities but don't expect a true Marriott experience or service and a badly renovated room.

Needed a Marriott room last minute on a night availability was tight all over town. Booked sight unseen. I'll admit it IS scary to roll up to an early build Courtyard, especially when it is located in a cluster of obviously older hotels. (I might have had an issue or two in the past with old Courtyards myself). Quiet (but I woud stay away from the highway if possible), clean, higher quality bedding. Don't think it had been a gut remodel, but room and public areas updated more than reasonably well. (Yes you could tell it was a bit older building, and a bit of musty to it. But redone way better than just smearing lipstick on it). I would say B or B+ hotel, and there is nothing wrong with that. Might not book if for a honeymoon, but if it is neatr where I need to be in town and the price is competetive I would stay there again. Reasonably near airport-but not right next door. If the hotel Bistro dining isn,t for you, there is a Ruby Tuesdays, and one other restaurant, a very short walking distance away. Forgot to check if there was a shuttle.
Very happy with our room and the cleanliness of everything. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The one glitch was driving past the entrance due to the sign location. Breakfast buffet was good. We really enjoyed our stay.
I used it during my business trip and I was able to spend the perfect day on business trips. Thank you for your excellent service when staying. I leave after using it well.
Room was very nice. Clean, spacious and comfortable bed. Clerk gave us a good price to help meet our budget. They have a free continental breakfast but we did not stay for breakfast. Friendly staff and a good location.
We stayed because my son was wrestling at OCC for the states we received 3rd and he went 3-0 for the day it was awesome.Thank you for the accommodations. We would recommend this hotel again, easy on and off the highway.
The hotel is not far from the high-speed exit, clean and convenient, the rooms are large and quiet, there is a McDonald’s next to the hotel, those who return late do not have to worry about going out to find something to eat, it is recommended
Mary, the Associate General Manager was exceptionally friendly upon check in after a very long drive and a late night arrival Common areas are clean and well designed, which is a nice trait of Spring Hill Suites. Rooms, weirdly less so. Clean which is nice, but the room layout was weird with double the closet space than what's needed. the TV in the small space between the bedroom area and sitting area (across from the wall between the secitons-hard to explain). Overall layout in room felt dated (relatively speaking) and there was wear in the room (carpets and sofa), which is also weird since i thought they just redid the hotel. Breakfast was great. Having been staying in a lot of hotels during COVID with the bagged breakfast of a pre-packaged muffin or danish, red delicious apple, and cheap juice. They were much better. Yogurt and better quality juice provided. Stay here again? Sure, great stop over between midwest and east coast. Stay here and want to visit Syracuse...maybe closer options to downtown, but this is nice and clean and friendly

GGuest UserNewly updated interior of room, fresh paint, new flooring, updated bathroom fixtures. Very comfortable bed and fresh linens. Breakfast included was well stocked with many options. Would 10/10 recommend.
HHyde FamilyAll staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Very clean. Didn’t have an opportunity to use pool or gym but they looked very clean. Wish there was a better selection for breakfast and the beer/seltzer selection was low. Not terrible. I would definitely stay again!

Alisa, J was a huge help and a wonderful employee. Great hotel and very affordable, spacious, stove, everything you need for a trip. When you guys go in ask for Alisa, J. One of the friendliest hotel staff I have encountered in my years of traveling.
stayed here numerous times and was pleasantly surprised to see the property being renovated, looks like a lot of work is being done here. I got a free upgrade from the staff to try out the new guestrooms. brand.new.everything. the bed was awesome, actually i slept too much and ended up leaving late. ill be back here for the fair in a few weeks, already booked the new room!
BBENGWe check-in very late around 4:00am due to our late flight and 1 missing piece of luggage. Got our room promptly, but the bath tub was choke and dirty. Tried to change our room, but was told that there was no other available room, but they sent someone to fix it in the morning.
The hotel is pretty basic, more for people with own transport.
Location wise, there is not much around the area, but we found Denny's within walking distance. There are a couple of other eating places as well, though we didn't try them.
The average price for hotels in East Syracuse is AED 469 on weekdays, and AED 614 on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
