We were a guest who was fortunate enough to not stay in GRAND GALVEZ .But decided to dine in Monarch Restaurant after looking at the hotel review. The reservation was at 9 pm but we got there early about 8.45pm. We were greeted by a lady in the host stand. She offered a table option (banquet or a table) we took the banquet. We were seated there,I took a look around there was no one in the restaurant except us. It took 15 min for someone to comes to our table. My husband order for a bottle of rose wine. Which to my surprise the bottle was already open. I'm a hospitality professional too. So when the bottle was brought to me the label was already open. We were not even asked if we actually wanted still or sparking water. We were served two water. The rose was served to me as my husband was going drinking. My husband wanted lemon wedges which literally took 15min to get to table,Neither I was offered a taste before serving. Nevertheless the server asked if we need anything else. And we were ready to order. But she left and came back after a while. We order for the catch of day (Red Snapper for me and my husband opt for a grilled chicken). While we were waiting for the food to come. My husband noticed that the table was wobbling. We still ignore but the wobbling got worse. The server got our food we were so excited to try to food. The first bite I took what I saw was a prawn that was not deveined. I kept it aside. The grilled chicken was completely burnt out from the bottom and still it was served. We didn't wanted to make any scene so we started eating. The server came back to check if everything was fine. I did mention about the prawn. After a while she came back to two piece of prawn as complimentary. It so embarrassing as I expected at least a manager will come by so that I could asked for a table change as it was getting difficult to eat in a wobbling table. I never wanted a free or complimentary prawn. After a while the host came back to check we did mention about the table. To my surprise was she took a napkin asked my husband to push himself aside and stuffed a napkin underneath. It was so shocking that the whole restaurant was empty and we was not offered a alternative table. To my notice I could see that have set up the table for breakfast so I assume that any other was not available for us. It was so disappointing that we literally felt that the staff was treating us to be less capable of having to afford to eat the restaurant. To add up to all this we had flies in and around our table and fruit flies in and around our food too. To be honest I didn't wanted to take a single bite of the foot anymore. Myself and my husband left our food half done. After all this we wanted to just leave and asked for the check. The server did not even bother to check why we barely touch our food. The server and the lady who sat us brings us a cheese cake for my birthday and apologize for the inconvenience. It was evident that the restaurant close at 10.00p

What more can you ask for 79 bucks. Great location on the Seawall with view of the pool and ocean. Check in was smooth and staff was friendly. Spent a few hours in the hot tub drinking beers from Fish Tale bar. Room was cozy and cute decor. Bed was comfortable with 6 pillows on each bed. Breakfast had eggs, pancakes, waffles, grits and tacos. Have to eat at the room or pool. No place to sit but to me a minor inconvenience. For those who complain about this hotel don’t!, You spent next to nothing to stay here!
The hotel was perfect for what we wanted apart from the dark & dreary decoration of the rooms... dark browns, mustard & dark orange colors were not what I expected at a seaside resort! I imagined walking into a light blue or light green room as you'd see in the condos to rent. These colors were just dark & desperately need renovating. The bathroom had seen better days for sure...the bath base looked slightly grubby but it had a raised anti slip mat which often retains a darker appearance & the shower doors were streaked & didn't fit together properly. Basically it was a bit messy & unappealing!
However, the facilities were excellent. Balconies are great w/ wonderful views. Club ten level allows a child free zone, which makes it way quieter & offers a free delivered breakfast or a voucher to reduce your breakfast bill @ Blakes Bistro & I believe free valet parking (apart from tips of course!)
The restaurants here at The San Luis are excellent. Everything we ate here was delicious but expensive. Service was excellent also & all staff were extremely attentive & friendly.
The hotel is clean, modern, and comfortable. That's not such a hard thing to find these days if you know what to look for when searching for a hotel. It's having an excellent hotel staff running the place that is so hard to find. Luis who works the front desk really went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. On top of being friendly and helping us find a good place to eat during our stay in Galveston. I needed a room with a walk-in shower, but unfortunately the one we got was a regular old tub. I spoke with Luis and he went looking in every single room they had available trying to find me one. Unfortunately all the rooms they had left were ones with a tub, so I didn't get my room with a shower in the end. But that's not something I can hold against him or the hotel. I booked the room only hours before arriving and I couldn't expect him to find me something that simply isn't available. It's the effort he put in that left me with such a positive impression of this hotel. I highly recommend staying at Homestead Suites if you're ever in Galveston. You'll be well taken care of if you do.

BBrenda LWe stayed at this hotel because they offered a park & ride for our Journey Cruise. For their cheapest room, the shuttle service & after tax we paid almost $183.00. If we would of parked at the Galveston Port of parking it would of been about $150.00 for the two weeks of parking. Now this hotel uses Moody Gardens for their shuttle service because somehow these two companies are linked together. Here is the down fall to this deal. Since Moody Gardens Hotel is the shuttle service their guest come first & are high priority. So the shuttle picked us up first then went to Moody Gardens to pick up their people. After sitting their for 20 minutes the driver came back & said they didn't have anybody to pick up at that time so we went to the port. He told us the pick up times where 9:00 am, 10:30 am & 12:30 pm when we return & where to find them. So when we returned we found the driver & got loaded to be returned. Now since Moody Gardens in priority they got dropped off first. The driver called in all their valet numbers so their vehicles were waiting for them up front when we arrived. Then he went into the hotel to get their keys & then unloaded their luggage. This whole process took us a half hour of messing around & we didn't get dropped off until almost 10:00 am. If I was to ever do this again I'd just stay at Moody Gardens or park at the port which is much faster.
AAngelstar556So clean and so perfect! The breakfast in the morning is so fresh and so t get me started on those fluffy eggs! They even have a cute small pool and hot tub that bubbles up at night for the late swimmers and kids. The beds are fresh and so is the towels. Everything is clean. This hotel is more like a 5 star hotel not 4.
KKellyWhen we first arrived I was a little sceptical because the hotel outside was a little worn and the fence around it lead me to feel like I was in an unsafe place to where they have to lock you in. But as I went inside and around the hotel I settled down and took it all in. It wasn't so bad, the room was clean and my children really enjoyed the balcony. The front desk clerk that checked us in went above and beyond to make sure we settled in nicely. I also loved the convenience of having a Walmart literally in the hotels front door and fast food places in walking distance. No need for travel, which is a plus for me. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would return again.
The rooms in the hotel are of questionable cleanliness. The mattresses and pillows are rock hard. The air conditioning is loud and periodically sounds as if a wet, spewing miniature train is driving through. It took multiple trips to the manager to get a key that worked properly and for some reason a $100 cash deposit was required to be left with the front desk overnight. Only one wash cloth was provided for a two queen bed room. The stairs to the second floor are steep and there is no other access. On the upside, the door lock actually did lock. It is directly across the street from the beach, which is nice.
GGuest UserThe hotel itself could use some updating. But let’s be real, when you spend all day out on the beach having fun and getting wore plum slap out, the last thing you’re worried about when coming back to the hotel to clean up and rest are things like paint chips, cracks, lumpy floor, etc. I did find quite a few loose hairs on stuff every time after the cleaning ladies had come, but hey… The same thing happens at McDs (🤢) but this time, I wasn’t trying to eat anything that they cleaned, so all in all… A big thumbs up! Great location, comfy bed, decent price, easy check in, friendly service,
We stayed in Roman 211. We stayed there on November 4th and 5th 2022 and were there for the Lone Star Rally. The room was decent, except for some sort of hole in the floor under the carpet which was fairly large and enough to make you trip. They advertise continental breakfast but at checkin we were told there was no breakfast. Upon waking up on the 5th and doing our thing around town, we returned at around 3:00pm and discovered that our room keys had been deactivated. The front desk clerk told us that it is policy to reset the keys everyday. Also, upon coming back to our room, we noticed that housekeeping had not passed. When I talked to the front desk about needed new towels and wash cloths, we were told that housekeeping doesn’t clean occupied rooms. All of this for a total of $503 for the weekend. I know it was during a special event but for that much money, they could have provided breakfast as advertised and had housekeeping straighten up a little.
MMishkoThere is a strange odor when you walk in the lobby. Everything was clean enough but there was a random hole in the wall in front of the elevators on the first floor. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast. The trip website says indoor pool but it's outside. I didn't see any fitness room. The tub had areas of caulk that was missing. But overall I did enjoy my stay.
Hilton should be ashamed to have their name on this place. I understand it's a More affordable ”Hilton” option, but mildew and musty stench fill the place, the lobby, the halls, the elevator the rooms. The front desk lady isn't the best at customer service, and is quite rude. If you book this place they the Hilton app know without a doubt you'll be paying upon arrival. And that your payment never came out the bank. Our trip was almost ruined because of this. (It's in their policies) The breakfast is literally stale bagels and pre packaged muffins. The coffee was excellent though! Pool was excellent except for a young couple being way to affectionate in front of families w kids. For the amount of money spent here, I could have gotten 2 nights at motel6 and had the same musty quality. I'll stick with what I know and what I like. I'm not fancy or bougie in any way, but when paying Hilton prices you expect Hilton quality. THIS AINT IT!!!! No pics cuz it was that disappointing.

Moody Gardens
__We***15There are many places to play, such as the rainforest, aquarium, and movies. Because we were in a hurry, we only went to the aquarium. We could see many cute penguins and various fish... It was so beautiful! There is a hotel next to it, where you can eat. The price is a bit expensive. Two people ate for nearly 80 dollars, and the taste was OK.
Seawolf Park
MM32***23[View] Seawolf Park Great visit to the base, a must-check place for military fans, very spectacular, many texts introduce pictures and texts with a long knowledge [interest] professionalism is very high, great experience [price ratio] worth coming!

MM32***23Railroad Museum It's completely a place that train fans will like! The museum is very large, most of them are open-air displays, and the photo lighting is particularly good! It is recommended, there will be a large parking lot when driving!
East Beach
帅帅气的好孩In fact, there is no scenery at all, but it is still very interesting to fish crabs with classmates here. The chicken legs we bought in the supermarket were tied with ropes and thrown into the water to fish for crabs. After tossing for a long time, we didn't catch a few. Next to the Mexican woman, holding the child in one hand, fishing, a lot of kung fu fishing for a while.
The Bryan Museum
帅帅气的好孩This is the largest historical museum in the southwest of the United States. But it is mainly about Texas history. There are many artworks reflecting the lives of Texas people, most notably oil paintings. There are many objects, such as saddles, stables, early firearms, swords, etc. It fully reflects the martial spirit of the Texas people.
