I love staying here. Marty helped me get a room next to the pool (my sons love that) and everyone is always pleasant and kind. My rooms have been clean and well stocked. Their little shop is ever so helpful for any forgotten toiletries or needed late night snacks. The room next to mine had an infant and I never heard a thing until I went out into the hall and their door was open. Temp in the room is easy to regulate. I love being able to walk to some of the tastiest restaurants and the shops in the gulch are a short stroll away. All in all, I love this hotel.

The house would have been nice for 4 women on a work trip, all having their own room. The rooms were in fact nice and the house was set up well. The host though was awful and we had a terrible experience. When we checked in, the heat was below 40 degrees and freezing in wintertime, which is absolutely unacceptable. We asked for blankets, which we received, but we still needed to sleep in outdoor gear because there were no space heaters (the host said there were), and the blankets were insufficient. The shower was running when we arrived - enough water to take a shower. Despite our complaints, we were told nothing could be fixed until morning, and the only solution was to turn up the heat very high to try to heat the house faster. The house was advertised as yellow, but it was white, which made it difficult to find at night. When we asked for a refund due to lack of heat, management not only lied in emails and refused, but were incredibly rude. They claimed we had children with us, which wasn't true - we were 4 adult women traveling for an early morning work event the following day. Staff saw each of us in-person when dealing with the heat and water issues. Management also claimed they offered to move us, but they didn't offer that, because they said they had nowhere to move us to. We hoped the host would make it right, and I'm very disappointed that they didn't. The lack of customer service and rudeness in a small town like Helena is disheartening. Please take your business elsewhere and support other folks who care about their customers. I do not recommend staying here.
To begin with we found this hotel under a different name on *********** as they had just changed ownership. The first clue that maybe we should not stay there was when we entered the lobby and saw that the whole place was under construction. The fireplace was only partially finished, the big room behind that was completely torn apart, and the hallways were under construction but since we had a long day of driving we decided to stay there anyways. We got to our room and the first thing we noticed was the TV's did not work and there were no trash cans. I returned to the office to complain and they agreed to have us change rooms. One of the staff followed me to the room with trash cans and when we got there we discovered that my wife had the TV's fixed (batteries were not in the remotes and it took time for TV's to start working) so thinking that all the problems were solved we agreed to stay in the original room. After we got all unpacked we started looking around we noticed the floor lamps were not plugged in, the refrigerator was also not plugged in and because the large cabinet that it was in was not positioned properly against the wall the cord was too shot to reach the plug so I placed the refrigerator on a table to be able to use it Also noticed there were no clothes hangers or coffee pot. Turned the AC on and left to get something to eat, returned several hours later only to find the AC was not putting out any cold air so we ended up just opening a window. Then discovered that the way the two TV's were positioned one remote would control both TV's, turn one TV on they both come on same for changing channels unless you had the remote about one foot in front of one TV. Since the construction workers had to use the elevators both elevators were extremely dirty with trash everywhere. The ice makers in the hallways did not work ( but were told if we really needed ice they could get some from the kitchen) and to top it all off every time the toilet was flushed water would squirt out from under the tank on to the seat. I'm sure this will be a nice place to stay when all construction is complete but asking people to put up with all the inconveniences until then is absurd!

This Fairfield was the most expensive Marriott hotel we stayed at in our whole half continent driving trip to the west coast. It was well situated, just off the highway. It is the older design. I was concerned at checkin as the front desk clerk was explaining to another guest that they were”way overbooked and so could not offer them an upgrade”. “Way-overbooked” ??? The room was typical and fine, although the mattresses felt like they were at the end of their lifecycle. Breakfast in the morning was a disaster. While the staff were happily chatting. The buffet had no meat dish, no eating utensils other than a knife, no bread, no sugar for the oatmeal, orange juice that tasted off, and no omelettes’ left. When I got the attention of the breakfast room attendant, she confirmed there was no bread until later in the week, that she noticed the b. sugar was out earlier in the week and that she was going to prepare more sausage Pattie’s but forgot. Better management required here, big time!

Ttex62307Staff was very friendly, but they weren't very presentable.....messy hair, stained clothes didn't look like they cared about their job. They were friendly though. The place smelled like curry, which is a smell that, personally, turns my stomach. There was hair stuck to the shower walls and standing water in the tub with a film on top of it. Breakfast wasn't ready when I was told it would be. I had to turn things the waffle maker on, and the apple juice was fermented every morning.
GGuest UserI was so lucky to find this place. I showed up in Helena to start a new job and did not get a chance to plan ahead where I would stay. This was the first place I found off the freeway, and it has a refrigerator, a freezer, and a microwave—everything I needed for an extended stay until I could find an apartment (and not a bad view out the window either!). Thank goodness for America’s Best Value Inn!
