Best Humble Hotels

We spent a night at the Staybridge Suites during an overnight transit stop in Houston. Overall it was a great experience, however our first impressions weren’t great when we had to wait about 50 minutes for the free hotel shuttle. The hotel is only 5 minutes away from the terminal, so not sure why it took them so long. Anyway, check-in was fast and easy and the reception staff were friendly and efficient. The room was excellent – roomy, very clean, with lots of natural light. There was a functional kitchenette with fridge, stove, microwave, and dishwasher, as well as a nice sitting area for watching TV. The free internet worked great. We enjoyed watching the planes pass by the window coming in for landing however there was no plane noise whatsoever. We made use of the hotel gym which was fairly well equipped. There were a large number of high-quality cardio machines as well as a small selection of dumbbells and a small multi-gym. As for eating options, the hotel had quite an extensive room service menu. However we opted to go out to one of the nearby restaurants: Jack-in-the-Box, Waffle House, Sonic, etc. Unfortunately, we didn’t make it to any of these places as we saw a taco bus parked outside the gas station and ordered up a great Mexican dinner. There is also a large convenience store attached to the gas station. Overall – great experience – other than the issues with the airport shuttle. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better spot for your transit stop in Houston.

My stay at Staybridge suites was a very warm and comforting stay. My housekeeper, Isela was an absolute daily blessing. She made my room inviting to return to after working 10 hour shifts. Not to mention Ms Jacque preparing a complimentary hot meal in the evening. I would highly recommend any short or long term business travels, this is the place to stay! Safe, clean and accommodating.

Nice location, easy access, only about 5 minutes from IAH. Restaurants nearby. Plenty of parking. Staff was exceptionally polite, helpful. And professional. Shuttle driver was great. Two minor things…when I went down to breakfast at about 6:30 the serving area was dark even though food was out. Stayed in room 201, evidently because of a leaking faucet in tub they have cranked the handle so hard to stop the leak that you have to use considerable force to turn the water on. Also, there is no stopper/plug for the tub so your only option is to shower.

Room was clean and well kept. Bed was comfortable, but sheets are thin. Room smelled and appeared very clean. We were on second floor about 4 doors from stairway and downstairs exit and could hear some of the in and out traffic but wasn't to bad. They offered a to go style breakfast of an orange, granola bar, milk or juice, and an option of cereal and yogurt was offered. Receptionist was kind. Lobby and walkways area weren't as clean as rooms but still well kept. We enjoyed our sleep here though which is spot to say because I'm a light sleeper.

Clean, adequate, comfortable, good staff, good facilities and food. Recommended. They have free transportation to the hotel, they schedule the trip for you, very comfortable spaces. Great place for me. The staff was very accommodating to my needs.

Excellent stay. We stayed one night and the hotel was Excellent. Rooms were clean and ready for early check-in. It's located near the airport so we were prepared for airplane noise all night and to our delight, we didn't hear airplane nor storm that rolled in overnight. Bed was so comfortable we slept like babies. Thank you for room control AC. Top it all off with bar/made to order Cafe in the evening and breakfast bar in the morning, remember to keep up with breakfast vouchers they give you at check-in because they will ask for it when you enter the breakfast bar. They serve both hot and cold breakfast with all the amenities. Got up the next morning refreshed, energized and ready for the day. Overall it is very good, reception service, work efficiency, rich breakfast, facilities and environment, room hygiene, etc. The reason why the service was given one less point is because a front desk clerk made a mistake and swiped my room fee from my card when I bought water last night (I booked through Ctrip, paid with Alipay, and paid before the hotel) It has been deducted from the Ctrip account), overall I still highly recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff, clean and safe location. It’s an old facility but room was equipped and operational, from A/C, heater, fridge, microwave, hot water, everything functional. Towels were replaced every day.

The Bush Airport is a ten-minute drive and the parking lot is large. The room is fully equipped and the towels are new, but the shower head is fixed and the water is small. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but the taste is good. It is a good car hotel.
