Excellent
BB1655SSangeladThe girl working the front desk seemed young and inexperienced and from my understanding they were aware of wedding afterparties as several bride and grooms staying on property meant multiple wedding guests staying as well overnight after their respective wedding receptions were held nearby on a Saturday night, thus giving the hotel many bookings as rooms were blocked out for their out-of-town guests to which I was one. I am unsure if permission was granted or not to be fair but seeing that all the wedding parties from different weddings staying at the hotel all seemed to have the same plan to hang out in the lobby afterwards I would have to assume at the very least the property and the person working the front desk should have been prepared knowing they booked several separate weddings on the same night. In my opinion, they did not possess the experience to handle it professionally. Instead everyone was yelled at, the front desk girl was on the verge of tears and we were all told to go to our rooms as if we were being punished like a child and even at one point she threatened with the police being called as she threw a fit. If it was too loud in the lobby I still don't understand how telling people to go to their rooms closer to other guests would solve the noise issue or even as we were told to go freeze outside by the firepits the loudness would still carry to other guests' windows outside. I don't know what the solution is going forward, perhaps offering a separate room off of the lobby area may be viable, but I know our bride was very annoyed by it all and I would never book this chain if I was having out of town guests or to give a good amount of business to be treated like that for my wedding night. It was very unprofessionally handled and took what should have ended as an amazing celebration of love and union and friendship as people just instead left upset and brides were sent outside to freeze. The firepits offered very little warmth and since it was also very windy could have also caused a fire with people getting too close to try and warm up.
GGuest UserAlthough we were brought to the area for a funeral, staying at the HGI in Fort Washington made our time the most pleasant it could realistically be. - Location: The hotel is very close to a metro station connecting to downtown Philly and other suburbs. Several fast food places are also within walking distance. The interstate is just feet away as well. Far from Philadelphia as a city, but central to all the modern conveniences of suburbia. - Atmosphere: The grounds were kept up well, and the lobby felt vibrant and inviting, as are most HGIs. My family always felt safe and comfortable. - Service: The front desk was certainly slow, as the previous review has mentioned, and I hope more staff can be hired to speed things along in the future. It seemed as if only one individual was manning the reception at any given moment. Perhaps other members of staff can be encouraged to pitch in too? Nonetheless, each employee delivered the best, most friendly service they could provide. I appreciated their commitment to my request for a room facing the smaller south side of the property. - Rooms: Originally I was going to sleep with my family, but at the last moment decided to snag a points reward for my own room (snoring had a bit to do with it…shh). Both rooms I’d stepped into were clean and comfortable, albeit slightly on the older side. Thankfully in my own room, I couldn’t really hear any noise from the highway or the metro train, but I could hear some while spending time in my family’s room. - Amenities: Unless you’re gold or higher, breakfast is not free at HGIs. My family made a run to Dunkin’ across the street to solve that problem, as the paid selections on site looked just meh for the price. There’s a restaurant that serves other meals throughout the day, as well as some public computers, a pool, a fitness center, and nice outdoor areas to relax. The free Wifi was fast. - Value: Overall I was satisfied with the value my family and I had for our stay. One thing to note, and I know it’s general hotel policy in most places—but it would have been difficult to ask for a waiver or reduction of the steep incidental deposit put on your card at check-in. As a budget-conscious traveler who never wrecks rooms or charges anything to them, I usually try to negotiate either a lower deposit or have the hotel waive it altogether…this hotel felt very steadfast about its policy. 75 bucks as the deposit for a night. I had no issues getting refunded that amount, but just a heads up. I even overheard another guest commiserating lightly about it with reception…not just me who thinks it can get out of hand! I would gladly return to the HGI in Fort Washington if I need to return to suburban Philly in the future!
游游戏小白The hotel is very good. I am driving from New York to North Carolina. If you are tired, you can find the hotel. You can check in at the hotel entrance and enter the hotel. It is very convenient. The large chain hotel is still very good, the environment, facilities and services are very good. The front desk staff is very good. I just talked a few words, very friendly, and gave me a breakfast voucher. It was the most in my trip to the United States. Like the hotel, but the hotel does not provide slippers, friends should remember to bring their own. The fireplace in the lobby is very warm and I like it very much.
GGuest UserI’ve stayed at this place multiple times and have never been disappointed. Their service is top notch and continues to be at a top level post covid. As an example, I saw the bartender Erica mopping the floors at 12.30 in the morning to ensure the place was ready for the morning. Just one example of the service level I’ve come to expect at this place.
管管Breakfast is OK, if you are not too demanding. We live in two big bed rooms, two adults with two children no problem. You must drive here, and it is more than 20 minutes drive from a ship museum. It is suitable for children to play. A few minutes walk next to a Chinese restaurant is reasonable, Hong Kong people open, Cantonese cuisine is very good, Sichuan cuisine is still okay. The hotel is very clean and has an indoor pool and gym. The hotel is not big, it can't be upscale, but it is much better than the motel. I have more than 1,500 for two nights, free breakfast. The price is not bad in the holiday in August. It may be because there are no big tourist attractions around! Overall good!
GGuest UserVery nice hotel. King room was spacious and clean. The room had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. AC not too loud. Bed and pillows were comfortable. I would give it 5 stars but for a couple of ridiculous issues. 1: there were no cups in the bathroom or with the ice bucket. 2. The sliding shower doors only opened from one end so you had to stand fully in the shower to turn on the taps resulting in being fully deluged in ice cold water until warm water reached the room. 3. I was charged with a small fee for “parking lot maintenance” that was never explained or approved to be added to my credit card. When I called about it, the hotel refunded that fee, but I thought it was quite underhanded to not inform me before charging it.
刘刘Free parking, standard American-style breakfast, free ice water and free planed rice in the lobby. The location of the hotel is close to the main road, the room is not too big, and there is noise near a train.
YYII live here every time I go to KOP. The opposite is KOP Mall, the largest department store in the U.S., and there is so much to offer. The nearby Philadelphia Outlet is also one of the most cost-effective Ole in the United States. KOP is simply a shopping paradise! The location of the hotel is very good. Turn right when you go out is the transportation hub, which is very convenient in either direction. Room facilities are relatively complete, and there is a balcony to smoke! The breakfast buffet is also worth $ 20 per person, and the price is less than $ 100, what a deal!
JJill BurkeThe room was good except for the mini fridge was not seated properly. We never got to try the food because there were so many people and not enough staff. We went down after 8:00 AM and there was no regular coffee just decaf. There were 2 woman before us waiting for coffee. We got 1 cup of coffee and nothing else of our paid for breakfast.
There was a large group of people outside on the patio talking loudly way past 11 PM!
GGuest UserOn the plus side, Our hotel was pretty close to our destination. However, We didn’t have a tv remote in our room. The lobby smelled like someone was smoking in it and our room smelled like hippie stoners baked it out for a week. Also, our blanket had a hole in it like someone burnt it with a cigarette. Other than the smells and the hole everything else seemed clean.
