Lovely old house in Pacific Grove with a few parking spaces at the front, and enough parking on the roads out front and to the side. We stayed for two nights and had a nice, big room, good bathroom, and all amenities, with a view out of the front of the hotel. The communal lounge/breakfast room was lovely too, with views over the garden. It was a bit too chilly to sit in the garden but that would be the thing to do in warmer weather. Each evening there is a complimentary glass of prosecco for guests, which was a nice surprise, as was the continental breakfast in the mornings. It’s about a half-hour walk into Monterey itself, but there are some nice restaurants in Pacific Grove. We ate at the Beach House, Lovers Point, and Wild Fish. Also had a drink in the Monarch pub.
This hotel is absolutely amazing! Beautifully decorated, clean and exclusive. It has oceanview and is located in walking distance to Cannery Row with plenty of restaurants and shops. The straff took great care of us! Juri welcomed us and gave us a tour of the hotel. She made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We will be back😊
Yikes. Where do I begin? I’d like to think that my poor experience at this lodge must be karma against me for choosing to travel during the pandemic. Perhaps I should have known better. Let’s start with the good. 1. The check-in receptionist is incredibly friendly. 2. Location, location. A hop and a skip away from the beach. 7 minutes from downtown Monterey. You can’t beat that. But sadly that seems to be the only thing this place has going for it. The doors do NOT lock. I mean really. We tried. They only lock from the inside when you’re in the room. Talk about safe right? And to make matters worse, while we stayed there, there was a room throwing a F****NG PARTY near us..I kid you not. They started partying around 9 PM and were banging things around and jumping, yelling, making thud sounds against the walls and floors ALL night long. To me, They sounded to be college aged...I’m 99% certain they did it to take advantage of the fact that there was NO front desk staff at night due to COVID!! This means We had no one to complain to due to their loud noise which made staying here a literal nightmare. And to think, my family is mostly grown. I can’t imagine what kind of hell it would have been to stay here with a baby or children! When we called front desk to report them, there was no one to receive the complaint. It’s currently after midnight as I type this and they are still raging on while we are exhausted and desperate for rest. Literally have had better nights sleep at a motel 6. Please avoid this place at all costs. I don’t care how good of a deal is advertised on t*****z** or G*****n. It’s not worth it to stay at a place where there’s no 24/7 staff to ensure the safety/peace of their guests

This is a wonderful , beautiful, amazing bed and breakfast! Where do i start? Location is incredible! Quick walk to Cannery Row or into town in Pacific Grove or to Lovers Point. It’s directly across the street from the ocean so the views are magnificent! The bike pathq is directly across the street and the hotel will provide you free of charge bikes. My husband and so went on an absolutely gorgeous 8 mile ride along the coast. Amazing! The main house: from the outside it’s a traditional looking home but inside the decorating was modern beach and stunning!!! It’s comfy yet fashionable! And the views are amazing! There are cookies all day , wine and cheese in the afternoon and a yummy breakfast each morning. We stayed in the back building and had an incredible suite with blocked views of the ocean. We had a fireplace , large sitting area, large bathroom with tub and separate shower and a king bed. The room was decorated beautifully. Our fireplace had some issues but they sent someone to fix it and also gave us a pretty significant credit (before we even had to ask) for our difficulty. The staff are kind and helpful. 5 stars all the way! We will be back!!!
The breakfast was very good, there were a lot of tricks, just a bit late, it was only 8:00. The location of the hotel is very good, it is very convenient to eat around, about 5 minutes to the beach. The house is beautiful and the facilities are good. Parking is a parking space on the road, and it is available when there is time. I booked $198 on Ctrip. I actually paid $203 in the store. I don't know why? In addition to the exchange rate fluctuation factor, it is nearly ¥100 more than the online one. Scenic spot, the price is a bit high.
Because Carmel's accommodation options are too expensive, I want to say that I chose the lighthouse in the next town. Unexpectedly great! The room looks much bigger than the photos and the facilities are very thoughtful and complete. The fireplace is really nice and warm! !! 17 days in the United States, this is the best and favorite accommodation ~ In addition to the buffet, there is another menu to choose from (there is no extra charge). Many choices are delicious. Most of the other guests are Americans who come for vacation. It's near the sea, and there are deer nearby, suitable for watching the sunset ~~
My husband and I stayed here at the end of a five-day trip to the Central Coast. Of all the places we stayed at, this was the oddest and most disappointing. Usually we stay at Asilomar, but we decided to save a bit of money and stay here, which looked like a nice, friendly inn right in town. Things were odd almost from the beginning, as I got a phone call asking if this was a good number for me as they had some check-in instructions to text me. Sure enough, when we arrived, we had to use two codes to open the front door and room door. No one was on site to greet us. I never did figure out what to do with the registration slip that was left on our bed, so I just filled it out and left it. The next disappointment was our room, which was in the back of the property on the 2nd floor. My husband is 6 ft. tall, so it was hard for him to keep from knocking his head on much of the ceiling. This room would be good for a single (short) person or for a couple of kids traveling with their parents staying next door. For a couple, it felt very cramped. Another disappointment was no breakfast. As this is a Victorian with a large dining room, we were surprised no food was offered. There are coffee machines in room (powdered creamer, ick) and also downstairs. One nice amenity was a large fridge where you could stow perishable items. I donated a carton of half and half to the rest of the travelers. Another nice amenity was the parking lot, but again, that was also very cramped. Shower could use an upgrade. Overall, disappointing.
The location is great, but the room is clean. Breakfast is simple, but bread, coffee and good! I'm going to go from San Francisco to San Francisco and I think it's going to be hard for me. I want to come back.
Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a longer road trip and were absolutely wowed by this very charming b&b. From initial booking to leaving we had a great experience. The b&b is in a safe area, close to the coastal walk, harbour seal viewing and Pacific Grove, there are also a number of great restaurants and bars nearby. Safe and free off street parking (car park out of use on our visit). Our room had an ocean view (we had booked a garden one, but were given the option to switch at no extra cost as they weren’t at full occupancy). Filtered water and a little decanter of brandy in the room and then a small fridge down a flight of stairs within a little cubby hole for guests to help themselves to bottles water, juices and fizzy drinks. Cookies and tea available 24/7 in the dining area. Wine and appetisers served every evening if you want it, recommend people do this as it’s a great way to meet other people staying there (only a small place so great to chat). Lots of things to look at in all of the rooms which make it the place it is, cute, unique and charming. Breakfast changed everyday and very different to the run of the mill meal. On our second day we had to leave early due to a pre booked excursion , we were left fruit, juice, coffee, breakfast bars and croissants to take with us. A fabulous stay, thank you
Location is good! Although service for 5 Star should be as it is in protocol. I have asked to deliver tea bags which I wanted, they provide in the room very strange flavor which is not common, I have asked via phone to provide me normal English breakfast but I was refused that they don’t have it. I still think with such a price and star hotel should satisfy the customers with any need during the stay in the hotel.

EerellyHealth is far worse than the picture, but the hotel service is good, there is a swimming pool and roasting fire outside, the waiter will smoke with you, staying for a long time is a bit warm, although it still feels good
AAmschouten75We just stayed here for 2 nights. The good: we stayed in a king suite and it was really large. We had plenty of room to spread out. It appeared to be clean. The bad: the room is tired!! The sheets were stained. They smelled clean but the stains are really off putting. The carpet is worn and was actually torn and pulling up. The bathroom had painters tape holding wallpaper up and the tub sides were falling off. The tv in the bedroom works but the color is wrong.....everything looks green. The fridge is very loud. The outside sitting area is really crappy and the view from the bedroom over the back fence looks like some crack house. The sofa in the living room section is the most uncomfortable I have ever sat on. We were in room 110 so maybe some of the others have had a facelift? I know we are in COVID times and things are tough but this is maintenance that has been deferred for quite a while.....not just 8 months of tough times. I spent $460 for 2 nights which is way too much for what we got. I wouldn’t come back any time soon.
