The location is very good, opposite Pier 1, very close to Fisherman's Wharf, Clock Tower and other attractions. You can see the sea from the balcony. Overall a great urban hotel at which I’ve stayed a number of times. Despite not being a huge fan of the W brand (a bit too trendy as I age) the location and value are hard to beat. The service is friendly and attentive; the rooms are nicely appointed—I appreciate the Nespresso machine and decent toiletries. The restaurant has good, fresh food for breakfast and friendly and efficient service. On a stay last month I came down with Covid and ended up in my room for a week; the staff was very considerate about bringing deliveries and checking to make sure I had everything I needed. They would pack room service as “to-go” items but the food was still warm and tasty when it arrived, and with everything needed for a proper meal. Note that some of the lower floor rooms don’t have much of a view beyond looking at the side of a building next door, so if that’s of importance make sure to books a higher category room.

You need to climb back up, which is a bit hard.

The hotel is run by Japanese people. The overall feeling is good. The gym is great! There is also a swimming pool. The valet parking fee is 85.5 per night including tax. It is recommended not to rent a car when visiting San Francisco. Our car was parked in the hotel for two days and we paid the fee.

Excellent hotel, the staff here are truly amazing and definitely make you feel at home, regardless of what time of day you come back they are always there to greet you. The staff are friendly and mostly can speak cantonese. The location was alright, difficult to find on the first day. Parking in SF is generally expensive. Room was dusty and the sofa give me rashes. However, the walk from Powell Station has a street of homeless people which I feel unsafe for ladies and young kids.

Not really In a great location but everything else was fine. Great view of the city
