We (3) stayed one night at Comfort Inn & Suites Covington - Mandeville in July 2023. The parking is adequate. The lobby is nice. The room is good and clean. The elevator was good but noisy. The breakfast was average. There were sausages and egg on the buffet. The staff was helpful.

The gentleman who checked me in was very accommodating and very nice. The room was clean and spacious, however, it's old and needs a facelift. The beds and pillows were horrible so the intended stay was for a good night's sleep and instead woke up with stiff neck and aching back. Breakfast was less than par. Won't stay again.

Visiting family in the area, we chose this hotel for their availability of a one bedroom suite. The location is convenient and the proximity to local restaurants is a plus. The offer of a daily included breakfast is an important plus and is one of the most positive factors which would warrant a repeat visit. Staff member Aileen was there on a daily basis to ensure that the breakfast, (eggs, biscuits, sausage and gravy), was always fresh, hot and replenished. In addition, the cleanliness and care of the breakfast area was excellent. The care of the room was also worth noting - Gloria provided replenishment of all necessary items as well as daily cleaning services with a good crew of room attendants. Help was provided by Luis at the front desk regarding recommendations for the local area shopping needs and the transfer from my old Radisson frequent stay account to their new program. Prior business travel afforded an opportunity to stay at multiple locations and sample many hotel chains. Based on this stay, I can easily recommend this location and will return here when in the area. One minor potential improvement that was identified by my wife was the lack of a wall mirror in the separate bedroom. All mirrors in the suite were located in the main room. Honestly, that is an observation that I would never have noticed … historical business travel focused on getting in and out, I was never really aware of that level of detail.

Excellent
Booked two nights on points. Absolutely one of the best, fast and efficient check-in we've experienced. Hotel room very clean, kind of a unique setup but nothing crazy. Cell phone charging capable on both sides of the bed. Bed really comfortable. Loved the EXTRA luggage rack over the wall AC unit. Small frig and microwave in the room. Easy access in and out of the building with multiple key access exterior doors. The Exercise room was HUGE and had multiple machines/items to use. (Extra towels available in the wk-out room) At least twenty restaurants within two miles of the property. Hotel area and neighborhood very safe. Newer apartments/condos w/ garages surrounded by decorative iron fences border the property. Less than three minutes from freeway access. ONLY knock is the swimming pool size is small.

Stopped at this hotel just for the night as I was driving from Orlando, back home to Houston. I booked on ***********. The room was ready upon arrival and check in was quick and easy. I woke up the next morning for breakfast. Let me just say that Lanette was AMAZING.. this was about 2 weeks ago and I still remember her name, that’s how great she was. She made sure breakfast stayed stocked, answered all guests questions and needs all while making sure the breakfast bar never went bare. Checking out online and returning the keys was also a breeze. If I ever need to stop again doing another roadtrip, this will be my stopping point. An amazing stay!

TtammyhT5492XEThe location was conveniently located just off the highway (no noise other than the garbage truck picking up the dumpster), and fantastic for the Mardi Gras parade route in Slidell (within walking distance) as well as several restaurants and a grocery. It's a great mid-point location when you plan to be making trips to New Orleans and Bay St. Louis. Unfortunately, we were not greeted as I would have expected at the front desk during any of our interactions. The gentleman was not rude, he simply didn't come across as welcoming or friendly, and at no time did he smile. We did appreciate him moving us to a king bed as opposed to 2 queens when our kids did not come with us. Once in our room our immediate concern was the smell and greasy/slippery floor (and I mean everywhere!). It was a bad first impression to say the least. A call was made to the front desk but being late at night we understood it would be morning before our room was addressed, but we tried to look at it from the point of ”you get what you pay for”. We were not offered an alternate room at this time. We got back into the car (after a 12 hour drive) and went out to purchase Febreeze and house slippers (photos were taken of the bottom of our slippers). The following morning we happened to see the housekeeping supervisor on our way out who was pleasant and listened to our concerns. As it happened, she was carrying a clipboard (I believe) and stated she had received our message from the previous night and was on her way to our room. She also offered to move us to another room. It was my opinion if this was how housekeeping cleaned our room it was how they cleaned every room so we made the decision to hold off on moving and give them a chance to clean the room properly. Upon our return we found the room to have been cleaned very well. We never mentioned the loose toilet seat to anyone (should've been obvious when it was last cleaned). In addition to the smell and floor there was a long black hair in the tub which later had me wondering if the room had been truly cleaned since the last customer checked out. Eww.. :/ The bed was very hard (that could simply be a personal preference of course) and the pillows were terribly flat so I would recommend you bring a couple from home. Luckily we had the forethought to bring a small coffee maker as one was not provided in the room (pretty standard to get one these days). As a former resident of Slidell I'm always sad to leave, but will admit I was looking forward to returning to the clean surroundings and comfort of home. We stayed a total 4 nights and one of the days we were there the housekeeper just opened the door and walked in without knocking before I was even dressed for the morning. I was standing rather close to the door and am certain there were NO knock, so of course it scared me when the door opened right out of nowhere prompting me to yell ”get out!!” assuming someone was just trying to get into our room. Not even a drop of hot water for my shower at 6:30 am. I complained only to be told that I must call and have a maintenance person inspect the problem. Um, no. I had to be on the road at 7am. I splashed myself in the shower with cold water and went about my morning. The blow dryer did not work. The beds are full sized, not queen like on the reservation page. I’m disappointed that the manager was quick to start arguing in a loud voice. Not even an apology. Just said we needed to report. Yes, I’m going to put my clothes back on after getting wet, make a phone call, and wait an hour for maintenance to fix the issue. And does maintenance even work at 6:30 am on a Sunday? Indian management sure is different. He could have just taken 10% off the night or something. I would have been happy. I think the problem was that another room used the hot water. I could hear the shower running before I took mine. Still, I have never had this problem before. Never. It should never happen. Seriously, management could have just apologized. Things break. I can understand. Tip: Wear shoes or flip flops. My white socks got black walking in the room. This is the worst review I have written in a decade. It saddens to do this.
