B&B HomEitaly was a fantastic place to stay in Civitavecchia. My mum and I needed an overnight stay before boarding our cruise. Marco did a wonderful job communicating with me during the booking process and all the way through until our stay. Marco also helped us book transport from the airport to the B&B. The B&B itself is well managed and cared for. We stayed in the blue room and had a bed each. It was very comfortable and a good size with en-suite. There was an opening window and air con. Breakfast was excellent quality with great coffee. There is a small flight of stairs upon entering the building and then an elevator. Marco and Pia were very helpful with bags too. The B&B is well located close to the sea, town, restaurants and a 5 minute walk from the cruise shuttle bus stop. This was very useful as taxis are hard to obtain to get to the cruise terminal. The B&B isn’t cheap but in proportion compared to other accommodation prices but definitely higher quality and with great service. Money well spent on a lovely stay.

This is a total gem! We only stayed one night on our way to our cruise ship and it was absolutely fabulous. The air conditioning is real air-conditioning! The room was so cold and comfortable. Impeccably clean and Marco and Pia are wonderful hosts. We did dinner and breakfast with them and they are both amazing chefs. This is what Italy is really about! We will definitely be back next time we’re in town.

We chose our accomodation based on reviews and location. This establishment has a good location but is so overpriced for what it is. Steps to get to the lift. Not enough furniture in the bedroom, pretty basic breakfast. Probably worth $100 a night but no more.

I stayed for one night, September 27, in the violet room. I booked the room in March 2023. In early September, I emailed Marco about food allergies and he also discussed transportation options from FCO to Civitavecchia. I chose the taxi option for 120Euro and I would chose this option again. Upon arrival, Marco greeted me at the door on the lower level. A small elevator takes you up to the floor where the BB is located. Marco showed me to my room, explained in great detail all the details of the room. He had a personalized greeting on the desk with my name as the headline. I chose to have dinner at the BB as I wanted to try Pia's (Marco partner) dinner. I was not disappointed and the wine choice was fantastic. The next morning I enjoyed the continental breakfast accompanied with great Italian espresso. When it was time to depart, Marco drove me to the area where you board the bus for the ship. Each cruise line runs several busses from this area, outside the port, directly to the pier where you then check-in. I enjoyed this stay and will be happy to stay here again on my next cruise departing from Civitavecchia.

Having traveled for decades all over the world, and met many hosts, friendly, helpful, the opposites, and in between, I can tell you that no one anywhere cares as much about his guests as Marco. He goes out of his way to be helpful in every way. His home cooked meals are not only of top quality, but dining is an experience in its own right. One always hopes for a good experience, but one would never expect such a fantastic one with Marco.

We landed in Rome Italy a day earlier than our cruise out of Civitavecchia. So we stayed overnight at BB HomEtaly. Marco, the owner is a very attentive host. He carried our luggage to our room and explained everything (I.e., coffee maker, lights, Tv, etc.). The room was nicely decorated, clean and neat. Later, he walked us to a great seafood restaurant where we ate dinner. The next morning, he made us cappuccinos and treated us to a continental breakfast. He then drove us to the meeting point for the cruise. Marco is a really nice, hospitable host. I recommend his place highly. J&J
