Mercure Petriolo Siena Terme Spa Hotel

We were in doubt due to the reviews that mentioned a structure that requires maintenance. None of this: vast and well-kept common areas, impeccable room (A07), bathroom as it should be, very pleasant corner with table and kettle, small terrace (two chairs and a table outside would be fine here...) large with view of the woods. Nice SPA, with some signage problems to reach it; never seen anyone at the reception of the Health Center, but in the SPA there is always an employee. An internal swimming pool in the SPA and an external one (unheated), in the SPA three fairly large pools with thermal water at different temperatures, an ok sauna, a Turkish bath which has apparently been abandoned for some time. Pleasant but not amazing dinner, ordinary breakfast bordering on sufficiency (poorly made scrambled eggs, few yeasts, low quality juices, poor jams). Very courteous staff.

I stayed over the Easter weekend, a very beautiful structure with beautiful thermal pools. The problem is management, first of all you can't check in and check out with the operator and the operator talking on the phone at the same time, maybe hire two people per shift. The hotel inside is a labyrinth and the departments are not well signposted. The worst thing is the restaurant where the team is off, running in circles and not knowing where to start, the excuses that were given after the reports were: we have only been open for 2 days, I'm sorry but I'm not in a 4 star these shortcomings are understandable. The only one who proved up to the task was Roxana. It's a shame because this hotel has great potential, I hope that the reviews will soon prove useful to improve the service of this beautiful structure.

I liked almost everything. There is only one drawback - there was no Wi-Fi in room 215. It was caught in the corridor in front of the room, but not in the room itself. Breakfast is quite varied for tasty treats and poor in cheeses and meats. The waitress in the restaurant speaks Russian.

It's not their job, they really don't know how to make a disappointing experience both in the restaurant and in the hotel, dirty pools and listless staff, unprepared management without any attention to the end customer

Absolutely satisfying short spa stay, in a pleasant, efficient and well-organised setting. Excellent room and impeccable service. "Top" staff. Complete and well-structured spa services. Pleasant memory

Very difficult resort to find, only a sign indicates its presence but it is already visible from the road! Very spacious room although not very clean, TV with a cable out of place, in fact you couldn't see it well at all, telephone with a cord almost severed, had to call the reception with our mobile phone! Virtually no WiFi! Restaurant: little choice, very high prices, considering that the only customers are resort guests! But the thing that certainly made us really furious was the request for sensitive credit card data!!! Receptionist's motivation: to protect against customers who consume without paying, translation: We don't trust customers, who are our real employers, and we force them to trust us, challenging the most banal privacy rules!! To our complaints it is not enough to reply "what can I do? It's my job" the director is called!! Advice: avoid a similar experience!!
