Property Description
If you're looking for cozy, comfortable and relaxed Forks, Washington lodging, then Blue Spruce Meadow is where you want to be. Our Washington Coast lodging truly gives guests the feel of home. This quiet little 500 sq. foot house is equipped with a yard, a campfire and a backdrop of the woods and fields. Elk are often right out your bedroom window.
Everything you need is at your disposal, pots and pans, cooking utensils, a BBQ, you just need supplies.
We have an extremely convenient locale for people who are looking to explore the scenic Washington Coast. We're merely 17 minutes away from Forks, which is a tiny community that has a rich history of river and ocean fishing. We're just 7 minutes away from the picturesque LaPush beaches with great hiking trails and also easy beach access. Peaceful Rialto Beach is just 7 minutes away in the other direction and features easy beach access and an "along the beach hike" to the "hole in the wall" where sea life abounds.
Have lunch at Three Rivers Resort and their famous Jacob Black Blackberry Shake and Werewolf Burger or visit beautiful Lapush for a seafood dinner on the water at Rivers Edge Restaurant. Three Rivers has a new special Treaty room where you can sample their delicious menu.
Beach Hikes at Rialto Beach or Lapush each 7 minutes from the house.
-Shopping in Forks offers one large shopping store, a pharmacy, gas stations, restaurants, library, post office, and several bars with music for night time adult entertainment.
-Sit in outside on the covered deck or on lawn chairs around a fire.
-Go Kayaking in the rivers
-Go Surfing at the beach, surfing has become a big attraction in Lapush and surfers come from all over to surf the waters at First Beach.
-Fishing or Hunting is at a premium in our rivers and forests.
-Clam digging and smelting in season
-Swimming in the rivers and lakes
-Hike the many trails in the national parks and around the vicinity.
Fishermen and Sportsmen: We are very happy to have you, the house is in the middle of several great fishing holes and because you are minutes from three rivers and a boat launch it is a great site for you. The driveway will accommodate big fishing boats and you are 3 minutes from Three Rivers Resort which offers an excellent guide service.
Hunting? We can offer a cooler to hang your venison in, for a $50.00 flat rate per animal.
Fishermen have said this rental has everything; right in the middle of where they need to be and also accommodates their wives very comfortably. We have added an outside fish cleaning station.
Surfing? Some of the best surfing happens at Lapush's 1st Beach. Don't miss out, the house is only minutes from Lapush and all that beach has to offer. Three Rivers rents surf boards and gear for catching those waves.
The house is a Park Model Mobile Home, very clean, cute, and a great place for a romantic get-away. This is a great place to just relax, it is quiet and you are close to beaches, rivers, nature hikes. Forks is a small town only 17 minutes away. The hoh rain forest is an hours drive South and Sol Duc hot springs an hour North. To the West is shi shi beach, Ozette lake and the Makah museum.
In Feb of 2025 we painted the inside with a soft gray color, put in new floors and took out the carpet, put in new blinds and just made some all around improvements.
Fishermen: There is parking for big boats and even space to turn them around. For bank fishing you are centrally located to the Quillayute, Bogachiel, and Sol Duc, three of the most popular fishing rivers. Steelhead fishing is one of the most popular sports on the Peninsula or "the Coast", as some people call it. One of the best places to launch or take out your boat is at Leyendecker park less than one mile from the Blue Spruce. We just added an outside fish cleaning station in 2025.
These rivers are fished by qualified guides and it is a no brainer why! The rivers all come together at Leyendecker park and boat launch so hatchery bound fish have to go back to the State hatchery at the end of Bogachiel way by traveling these rivers. Three Rivers guide service is 3 minutes from Jacob Blacks house and has qualified professional guides to help you and give you the fishing experience of your life. The drifts are between 3.5 and 5 miles long or you can do the full 8 miles if you want. There is a hole on every corner full of fish and probably fishing boats.

Had a great stay at Blue Spruce. Close to Rialto Beach. Quiet and out of the way. Well appointed kitchen. Lots of towels in bathroom. Laundry room for one load free then a charge for each additional load. Good for a couple. Would get tight for more, IMO. Cute spot.

Our Stay at Blue Spruce Meadow
This place is located in a fantastic area! It is quiet and very close to the beaches we visited. Rialto and Lapush beaches are under 10 or 15 minutes drive away, and Ruby, second, and third beaches are also under a half hour away. The Hoh Rainforest is about an hour from Blue Spruce Meadow, too, and shopping for groceries in Forks was no problem, as that too, was only minutes away. In short, you just can’t beat this for location at a reasonable price.Linda was a kind and responsive host. We had a problem locking the front door and she came right down to help us with it. Also, there is. Cabinet door with a broken hinge in the kitchen, but it wasn’t a big deal to us. There is a good sized dinner table and another small table in front of a window. This was the perfect set up for planning and taking notes for our adventures. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathroom and bedroom were adequate for our purposes. We were there to enjoy the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula by being close to and hiking in the forests and beaches. If you love to ride pool at low tide, this is the place to stay because of its proximity to Rialto and other beaches. Yes, some things could be improved, but overall, we were pleased with our choice and would stay here again.

Perfect location and privacy
Perfect fit for the couple/family on adventures to the beaches nearby. Super convenient location, the rental shares the lot with another rental unit behind (lots of private space still) and owners up thw driveway (good distance away). Theres a laundry room equipped with everything u need and the home is perfectly equipped. Only note i'd make is, we are AT&T customers and didnt have any reception halfway down La Push Road, so have your maps to the place downloaded. Keep it in mind, the blue spruce supplies free wifi which makes up the lack of reception except when you head out to the beaches

Secluded, quiet, restful
We appreciated the central location of this VRBO unit for access to many adventures on the Olympic Peninsula, mainly in the National Park. The unit was on many acres and set back from the road so it felt very private. We prepared almost all of our own food so we appreciated the kitchen that was well supplied with pans, silverware, utensils, dinnerware, everything. And we appreciated that there is a good well stocked grocery store in Forks.

Olympic trip
The property was nice but not very private. The property shows to have a washer/ dryer which leads one to believe it is in the unit. There is actually a shared laundry in a separate building with another rental unit. We enjoyed the location just down the road from Rialto Beach. The bed was very soft and comfortable. My only suggestion for the property besides more privacy, would be, a dishwasher in the kitchen and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. It was a good stay and we would stay there again if in the area.

We enjoyed our stay. The property was beautiful and the location was great for what we needed. We didn't realize that the washer/dryer wasn't in the actual unit but was shared in a separate building. It ended up working out fine, just something we had to figure out. We had a little trouble with the lock on the sliding doors, but my husband ended up getting the hang of it, I had trouble with it when I tried. Other than that, we had a really good stay. The area is amazingly beautiful!
