Leworthy Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast

Our second trip to Leworthy Farm, Neil and Kirstie are excellent hosts, absolutely delicious breakfasts, very comfortable, and a super place to stay. Can't leave a review and not mention the delicious lemon drizzle cake, thankyou to you both, we will be back, if you will have us.😂😂

Our initial plan had been to stay at a different property but, due to an unforeseen change in circumstances, we and our German friends found ourselves staying with Neil and Kirsty at Leworthy Farmhouse. It turned out this was a massive stroke of good fortune. We don't find ourselves in the West Country very often due to the distance but if I was to try to imagine the perfect Devon B&B, it would be Leworthy Farmhouse (it would be perfect anywhere actually). It's surrounded by quiet, rural Devon country lanes but isn't at all far from Holsworthy if you need any of the amenities a town can offer. Neil and Kirsty are very warm and friendly; easy-going and easy to chat to. The rooms are great, well-appointed, clean etc. The shower in Room 5 is awesome. Breakfast includes bacon, sausage, hog's pudding and eggs - all sourced directly from the farm and all delicious. There are plenty of alternative options for those who prefer continental. Kirsty also makes chocolate brownie and lemon drizzle cake to which guests are invited to help themselves. I don't tend to write reviews very often but Leworthy Farmhouse has motivated me enough to log on. If we ever find ourselves back in this part of the West Country, we'll be straight on to Neil and Kirsty to see if we can stay with them. If you're looking for a place in the area, don't look any further.

A beautiful room with the most stunning views of the garden and the lake. The garden houses the chickens and pigs who can be visited when walking in the garden or you can relax with a coffee or lunch at one of the garden tables and benches. The location is very tranquil and relaxing and only 25 minutes from Bude or a little more to some of the beautiful Devon and Cornish coast line. The breakfast consisted of home produced bacon, sausage and egg alongside the locally produced hog pudding which was simply delightful and some of the best ingredients I have tasted. The hosts, Nick and Kirsty are very welcoming and knowledgable on the local area and were very supportive throughout. Overall our experience was very good and very much appreciated.

Lovely B and B. Lovely and clean and in lovely surroundings. Breakfasts were delicious. Hosts were very nice and accommodating. Had lake view room which was very comfortable. Lovely evening platters orovided, if ordered in advance if staying in.

Me and my partner recently stayed here and had a wonderful stay. we were the only two people staying at the time because we were the last week of the season, and the weather was not so grand. We were given every attention and the family were a perfect host. the breakfast was the best I’ve had, and the only thing I regret is I couldn’t bring some of the sausages home (made with their own pigs). As a new keen, drone flyer, I was able to take some aerial shots and made a short video for them. We booked the Jubilee Cottage in May for a 6-night stay at the August's last bank holiday weekend and paid the full cost £900 in advance. There are two cottages in the property Jubilee and Leeside with Jubilee Cottage being the more expensive one. When we arrived, Jubilee Cottage was already occupied. I did not know at the time which one is Jubilee and which one is Leeside. I just assumed that the empty cottage is Jubilee and checked in. During our stay, I met the land lady Kirsty several times but she did not even mention a word. It was only when we finished the holiday and was on our way home, I checked their website again and realised that we had actually stayed in Leeside Cottage. I assume that they must have double booked Jubilee and put us in Leeside deliberately without informing us. Actually if they would have been honesty with us about the double booking, we would be ok staying with Leeside Cottage anyway. I called Kirsty who admitted about the mistake. But so far I have not yet receive the confirmation about refunding us the cost in difference. I am very disappointed about their behaviour. It is not about money. It is about doing business in honesty.
