Just had the weekend here with friends & our dogs Maple & Marley. Pru very welcoming & helpful. Beautiful clean spacious rooms & a lovely breakfast with the dogs also getting treats! Would absolutely recommend if you are this way on. We hope to be back in the near future x

I had to bring two poodles to Penrith, one to go to vet hospital for eye surgery and the other one and I had to kill 6 plus hours waiting to collect poodle 1. Tried lots of places, as I needed to check in early morning and not stay overnight, just needed a place to rest up and chill out, particularly if the weather was awful. Millie poodle isn't at the moment able to do long walks so she appreciated lots of sleep time in between chicken snacking. Made very welcome, lovely room. Millie poodle and I read books drank tea and ate sandwiches till it was time to collect Harrison with large cone.....getting him in the car was interesting.

Very lovely and welcoming to us and our (big) doggy! Festive Christmas decor was a nice touch! Everything was very cozy, clean and tidy. The rooms are lovely and spacious with everything needed provided. Breakfast was wonderful with an amazing selection of hot and cold food and drink offered. Thank you so much for having us!

I have never felt so welcomed to a place before! I traveled down with me and my dog (nacho) when arriving the house is so beautiful and big! There’s enough room for multiple cars to park! The owner was brilliant, she cared for nscho and understood that he was a slightly nervous dog. The room was just what I needed, had a kettle sink and wardrobe if needed. You had your own bathroom with a bath and shower, toilet and sink. It was huge and very clean! Ordering breakfast was so easy, tick what you like and leave it on the windowsill on the stairs! The breakfast was all fresh and so so nice! Nacho even had some treats for breakfast too! Such a lovely place and I will be returning again!

Prue was very welcoming and we felt at home right away.Room was clean and had a lovely view over fields.Very convenient for the A66 or the M6 Porridge and brown toast for breakfast was yummy. We didn’t have the full works but we could have. We will return.

I stayed here with my groomsmen the night before my wedding and they stayed the following night as well. The experience couldn’t have been better! The house is very well equipped and comfortable with room for everyone to have their own space or come together if they wish. There’s a lovely AGA in the kitchen and the utility room has everything you could need. The surrounding area was really nice with shops close by, pubs and beautiful countryside walks. However, it was the hosts Fleur and Paul that really made the stay exceptional. They had first class communication before the stay, answering all questions very promptly and helping us in any way they could. They were in no way intrusive during our stay but we felt they were always on hand if we needed anything.

We actually stayed Dec 2021 but better late then never and I am heading back to stay Jan 2023. We stayed with Prue for 1 night en-route to Glasgow for Christmas and stayed in the family room so 4 plus our Cockapoo ! Prue was very helpful and accommodating and there is a very homely feel about the house despite its size. We slept very well and had a lovely breakfast the next morning with the other friendly guests. Highly recommended and it will be my stop off for ever more ! There are some lovely walks locally and almost opposite is the Jacobean resting place of some of Bonnie Prince’s men prior to Culloden moor in Scotland.

Lovely and very clean room, very sweet and accommodating host, who saved my day when I was stuck in Penrith, very late in the evening. Delicious breakfast served at your chosen time and very handy location. Definitely highly recommended! I will definitely stay again!
