Hotel Tropico Latino is an authentic Costa Rican beachside hotel in Santa Teresa. The location cannot be beat—right in the middle of the Pura Vida action. Our meals were top-notch—ask Mama to make you her special tumeric morning tea—WOW! We stayed there as part of the Pura Vida Adventures surf retreat, and it was a great place on the beach. Our room was comfortable, with two king beds. There were no blackout shades, and the Wi-Fi was just okay—that may be the Costa Rican way, but not so much the hotel. The pool and beachfront lounges are perfect. Most rooms have porches with hammocks. The spa is wonderful—we had two amazing massages. I recommend, though, having any after-dark appointments in a closed spa room rather than the lovely open-air spa rooms they offer. (I had an exercise class taking place next to my evening massage, which was not as relaxing as I usually like.) The staff is friendly and will help with anything you need during your stay.

This hotel is supreme!!! Recommended. The facilities top notch, the amenities are all your could ask for and more, and oh the staff.. particular shout out to Alejandra and Andry on reception, the gentlemen serving at the restaurant/bar, and the supremely smiley face at the spa centre; she brightened every day [21-17th jan for the latter people as not sure on names]. They all made my stay fantastic, despite the setbacks of my luggage not making the flight. If you want to go somewhere you know the staff have got your back with kindness, caring and understanding... this is the place!

Best value for money in ST. Amazing beachfront hotel. Delicious food and staff are so nice. Thanks for Guadalupe and Andry, we stayed longer because of them and the hotel there is always giving the little extra. Thanks for the waiters and the cleaning team also. Very comfy bed and pillows.

Very nice staff . Exceptional in fact. A code for the back gate could be provided the day before check in to make the check in more comfortable. Absolutely beautiful property. Immersed in nature beside the ocean . Lots of monkeys for your amusement. Very clean and the food is also very very good . I loved the coffee. They should upgrade the internet routers and get more of them . It's difficult to work from the restaurant and beach. They need better beds imo .

We loved our stay. I can’t complain about anything. It was such a great place to stay. We were in the bungalow closest to the beach. Perfectly comfortable bed and pillows. The restaurant was just incredible. Brian was very attentive. We hope to go back.

I loved my stay here. The accommodations, amenities, location, everything was just perfect. All of the staff were so kind and sweet as well and made my visit that much more enjoyable. I didn’t want to leave and I definitely plan to be back for a visit.

We loved this place. Great beach, the restaurant is right on the sand (but sheltered)…the staff was so helpful and kind. We had a bungalow by the beach—it was cute, clean, the beds and linens comfortable. Hard not to feel peaceful here. We will return.

We stayed a week in a larger bungalow with a kitchenette. Very comfortable, nice to have some fresh air through screened windows along with air conditioning. The garden is beautiful but not very breezy, we spent more time at the beachfront restaurant than on our bungalow deck. Very friendly and helpful staff, great cocktails and sunset views, perfect access to Playa Carmen.
