We went to this hotel in August 2024, the family with two kids.. We were so looking forward to a relaxing holiday. But then it started. We arrived about 10 pm local time and then waited and waited to be taken to our room.. They just started speaking German to us presuming we were Germans but then as they figured we are not, spoke very bad English. We booked the family suite which was more expensive and on the other quiet "family" side of the hotel. We waited and waited to be taken to our room but nothing was happening. Children were so tired and hungry after the flight and taking into account the time difference with the UK. It appeared they served everyone and gave them the rooms but not us!. They served all Germans first and we figured they gave them our suite (the last one)! Even though they were in the queue behind us! We were kept in the dark for quite some time and asked what was happening. Then one of the receptionist said "they are very sorry and there seems to be an electrical problem in the room and the room is not ready", clearly lying about the whole thing as he just gave our room to the Germans instead. Instead they offered a room with a seaview which according to the receptionist was more expensive (which is not true) whilst they figured an issue with our room (basically waiting for people to leave as rooms were double booked). Seaview room was a joke as it was right in the centre in a very busy noisy shopping area with a tiny little line of the sea from the window. It was tiny and only had two single beds and a sofa bed, clearly not comparable for a family suite we paid for! The sofa bed was not even made for a child after the bell boy said they would do it, lied again. Then we tried to get some food after the receptionist said there would be food in the main restaurant, there wasn`t, it was closed long time ago, lied again. I was then shown by someone a pattiserie where you can get a dry bun, we were chewing those but then some German lady clearly feeling sorry for us kindly gestured to us that there would be proper food at the main restaurant at 2 am. Why didn`t the receptionist mention this to us? After few days and more confrontations with the receptionists we managed to get our suite back! The suite we paid for! It was a completely different room sizewise, amenities wise etc nothing comparable to "a more expensive sea view room". Why did we have to go through all of this? Obviously we complained to tui and how we were treated and had a refund but still it spoilt our experience from the very beginning. Basically the hotel is very popular with Germans, German is spoken everywhere. The kids club was all mainly in German, kids were not interested. Germans obviously reserve the sun lounges early etc, so good luck getting those. We even booked a trip to a temple of Apollo and the whole van was filled with Germans and the tour guide only spoke German! So we didn`t have a clue what he was talking about, he then guided us to an Englis
