This hotel is sold as 5 star hotel but it really isn’t. We stayed in two rooms - myself and my husband in one and my sister, her husband and daughter in the other. We paid £800 pp for a week. However, we landed early hours of the morning and departed early hours so we really only got 5 days - not the hotel’s fault. Pros: The hotel rooms were clean and tidy. The beach is fabulous and there were plenty of sun loungers, clean toilets and food/drink available. The sea is clear and the sand was clean. Waffles and ice cream at the beach were lovely. The entertainment staff are very friendly and do make every effort to get people involved. The spa is nice - we all had a massage, Turkish bath and facial! Really lovely experience. Cons: The food wasn’t great quality and was cold most of the time. You have to serve yourself tea/coffee etc at breakfast and that’s if you can find any clean cups or glasses. In the evening, if you can get someone’s attention, you’ll be able to order drinks. However, there was often no ice, or the soft drinks were flat. Cocktails at the bar never came out the same - even when ordering the same thing. We ate out 2/5 nights during our stay. Sadly, it just doesn’t meet the standard of a 5 star hotel. The pools were absolutely freezing - we went mid October so I understand that the temperature has dropped, but they were unusable. Luckily, the sea temperature was still ok for swimming so we were able to spend time in the water. Whilst the staff aren’t unfriendly as such, there’s not really that feeling of being welcome at the hotel. The real kicker was when we checked out and a guy who we had never seen, on reception, pointed to the tip box on the counter and indicated for us to put something in. He held out his hand and took the notes of what we had given, put them into his pocket and then put the change into the box. I was genuinely shocked - we had been tipping throughout our stay when we felt it was warranted! Overall, we had a lovely holiday spending time together as a family but would not return to the Terrace Elite.

This hotel is not 5 star, but it does have 5 star elements, but lacks the detail required to be 5 star! We arrived late, food on offer was underwhelming. This improved throughout the week. It was repetitive though we did find something each day to eat. Whether you were served a drink at your table was a hit or a miss, we mostly fended for ourselves during meals. The entertainment team are friendly as was our cleaner. The local area has plenty of shops nearby. I felt the outside areas were dirty, the pool bar, the ice cream stall, like I say lacked detail. I wouldn’t want to go peak season.

This was generally a well run and very clean hotel. Rooms: The room was perfectly fine and quite modern. We had a mountain view room on the side of the building. We were also over the service area, although thankfully a higher floor as this could be quite noisy with deliveries. The bathroom had a good shower and a separate area for the toilet albeit with frosted glass, much to the annoyance of my teenage son. Food and drink: Can I say that I felt the food was generally good and varied but I always try to make a meal each day not pick at multiple items. Also everything was very well cooked, unlike my previous trip to Turkiye when we were all ill. No issues here at all. I enjoyed breakfast and lunch but found dinner unbearable. The restaurant is absolute chaos. No organisation. Unlike other hotels you just enter and try to find a table. Most tables were not cleared efficiently and you were lucky if you had your drink order taken. This needs to be addressed. Either seat people and ask for their drinks or allow people to serve themselves. However, drinks service at the bars was great and a wide selection of cocktails were made to order. Bar staff work exceptionally hard and do this with a smile. I also liked that there were special cocktails served each day by the animation team. A nice touch. Entertainment and pool: The pool area is lovely although sun beds do need to be reserved. They tried to stop this towards the end of our stay but need to be consistent. The pools are a great temperature and there are activities throughout the day. The music however was on occasion far too loud! And I’d like to take the whistles away from the animation guys. This wasn’t however continuous, only during the Aqua aerobics. Nighttime entertainment was awful. The outside area is where the entertainment was performed. Kids disco and then the main show. I don’t have small children and would have liked alternative entertainment somewhere else. The hotel has lovely seating areas close to the lobby. Some live music would be a welcome alternative. Overall I enjoyed my stay but wouldn’t return.

The hotel was clean. The room was spacious. The two a la cart restaurants, advertised with the holiday, were not open. Given that it was peak time, we were surprised to learn at the hotel that these restaurants only opened if enough people booked. The overall health and safety in the hotel was very poor, especially the water slides, we witnessed an accident where an adult was badly injured the lifeguards on the slides which there are 2 of them sat at the top smoking and playing on there phones, there was never a lifeguard at the bottom and one at the top monitoring when someone had finished on the slides so that the next could go down, one day 7 adults and 10 children were going down the big slide all at once it was an accident waiting to happen, the lifeguards did nothing given the man that was injured a day before you'd think they'd up there game and stop this from happening especially as there were really young children using the pool at the time, that's another problem people where using this as a pool too when really it should only be used for the slides. Staff were friendly but simply not enough staff around the pool or in the buffet area. Tables were not cleaned and cleared quickly enough. There are not enough sunbeds for the number of people in the hotel. The use of the sunbeds was not monitored, and the hotels own rules were simply not met, ourselves noting beds "reserved" with towels for the holiday maker to return from the beach later in the day! The checkout process was extremely poor and stressful. We were advised on arrival that we could pay €30 for a late check out on the day we were due to leave, only to be told on the morning of check out that this was not possible! We were advised to use the spa showers, which were full of others using them. The showers downstairs in the spa were not available as it was in darkness. The showers were very poor, and lockers did not lock. No shower gel or shampoo provided. No privacy to change. The food at the hotel was ok. We always found something to eat, but we ended up going out a few nights as it was a bit repetitive. We're English, and the language barrier was extremely hard at times, and to be fair to us, we did try to learn the basics before we went as a show of respect to them. The animation team, as stated in other reviews, is very good and does work hard a special shout out to Mike and Max, who were brilliant . The table service was nonexistent till day 3 when we eventually got someone's attention, and we started to tip him, we then got the service we'd hope for, we compair this to a holiday in egypt we've been on before and the service there was excellent even without tipping and subsequently we're going there again in 6 weeks as our main holiday. The overall experience of this hotel wasn't what we expected given the price of it, some people we spoken to had booked this month's ago and paid full price, we booked this last minute and got 33% off and a free childs place so saving us

True review from a family of 4! Two adults and two children aged 14 and 10! We were very sceptical about booking this hotel as I read the reviews time and time again! Some very good and some very poor! Well where do I start! This is one of the best holidays we have been on! The hotel was amazing from cleanliness to staff to food! It is definitely a 5 star! So much for the kids to do! The animation team were just top class and they are certainly a credit to the hotel! they were amazing with both children and adults! The only negative is that if you didn't put towels on sunbeds at 6am in the morning you were likely not to get one but it doesn't bother us as the hubby goes down while the rest of us get ready! The food can be repetitive but there's always two or three new choices every day/evening! The staff were very helpful and polite! The rooms are just amazing very spacious and very very clean! The waterslides were amazing! The private beach is a credit to the hotel! The food at the restaurant on the beach is absolutely fantastic! Always plenty of sunbeds at the beach! We went twice in one week to the beach as it was so good! All the staff in the hotel shops were lovely too! Cannot fault this hotel! We will definitely be re visiting!

Wow! The entertainment team are absolutely amazing! They continuously have something happening throughout the day and tonight, we’ve ventured into the lobby bar and been joined by two of the team. Playing uno, having lots of laughs! Love, love, love them

Our two teenage daughters and ourselves had an excellent holiday at the Terrace Elite Hotel. It’s very clean, spacious and comfortable with great rooms and good, reliable air conditioning. I’m not sure why some people comment about the food as it’s plentiful, varied and consistently good quality. The meat choices are fresh, tasty and varied, the salads are excellent quality and again varied. I have been in the hospitality trade for over 35 years and obsessed with food, especially eating it, and couldn’t fault the food and service provided. From the animation team, waiters, bar staff, cleaners and spa personnel, (had a few massages as well whilst there) they all worked tremendously hard and all very helpful and friendly. We all loved the beach, which is a couple of minutes away on the frequent bus service provided, again with a great selection of food and facilities provided. All in all, we would definitely go back and stay again for our main holiday as they really know how to do all inclusive properly and provide a very relaxing, care free holiday. The old town of Side (pronounced- see day), is well worth a visit

Pros Very clean hotel, lots of staff constantly cleaning, efficient technical staff, esp when bathroom flooded into bedroom, thankfully our belongings weren't ruined Rooms comfortable, mini bar , free safe and hairdryer provided Most staff are friendly, some are rude and abrupt but this could be the language barrier Pool nice size but busy Food , good variety, slightly repetitive but good choice on offer, themed food gives some more variety Beach bar has best lunch food Some staff speak English ok Courtesy bus to beach frequent Samet (bar/restaurant staff) is.a.very hard working, helpful, friendly staff member and should be commended for his help and service provided. Cabanas we're fab (cost extra, 35+euro day) provided a nice base and guaranteed sunbeds/shade Cons Only some staff speak English, others use Google translate on phones! Lack of info available, it could be so much better as some services/features we missed or happened upon by accident. There's a cinema with no info anywhere about it, spa staff wander about with a folder to sell you services, no drinks menu apart from a cocktail list, guests were getting foods that weren't offered to all. We had to call reception when flooded but had no idea what number to call. Beach shoes recommended, sand hot and beach stony on edge, avoid large boulders in sea..they rip your skin off!! Lifeguard is more interested in the music and speaker or his phone to look out at the sea, when he is in attendance and not at the beach bar so take care to drown slowly or loudly!!! Mosque nearby loudly calls to prayer early hours so you get woken up at 5am, you get used to it after a week or so!!! Hotel is a bit isolated, not much around the hotel so your reliant on the in house entertainment which is passable with enough alcohol. They could make this hotel so much better Do beach cleans to remove plastics and rubbish off shoreline Tvs in lounges for general viewing/socialising More than one table tennis table Coffee facilities in rooms Reduce amount of wastage and disposables inc plastics used Overall a nice holiday but for the price and apparently 5 stars it really could be better
