Safire Freycinet deserves to be called a truly luxury hotel. Top-flight everything. Beautiful property overlooking a gorgeous beach with easy beach access, lovely rooms with every amenity, stunning public spaces, great food and drink, but best of all, a top staff that is so personal and helpful at every turn. The General Manager Dylan is everywhere, every day making sure everyone’s stay is perfect. The tours around the island are led by veteran naturalists and each is fun too! Run, don’t walk to Tasmania and Safire Freycinet!

We are seasoned travelers, and I have no hesitating in saying that the Saffire Freycinet is easily one of the best hotels in the world . It is not cheap, but but the caliber of service, food and drink, and excursions on offer to guests, fully justifies the expense. The rooms are spacious, gorgeously sited, and well stocked with every incidental and small luxury. The food and wine on offer were both world class. The young, international staff knew our names within minutes and and treated us like long-absent family members. The excursions offered to guests, most of which were included, were each in its own way unique--eating fresh oysters standing in the bay in waders, accompanying a beekeeper and sampling his fresh honey, watching Tasmanian devils devour a wallaby, accompanying an Aboriginal scholar on a nature walk, viewing Wineglass bay from high atop a mountain--these were experiences to cherish. We did not travel to Tasmania just to stay at Saffire, but having done so I would have no hesitating recommending that people travel to Tasmania for just that purpose.

A unique place with amazing views, friendly and proactive staff, and lovely rooms. Only 20 suites and all with amazing views - we stayed in a signature suite and enjoyed the extra space and magnificent views from our full height windows. We also really enjoyed the included experiences which included Paul taking us to the oyster farm👍, Glenn showing us around his lovely vineyard #craigieknowe, and Tom showing us the magnificently positioned #waubharbour distillery. Thanks to the staff for making it such a warm and welcoming place and Oliver for the tailored whisky tasting An unforgettable place!

Saffire Freycinet is simply the best of the best resorts in Australia. In Tasmania where there is so much to do, the Freycinet peninsula affords one the chance for great hikes, and kayaking experiences provided by the resort. Then there is the exceptional included meals unlimited drinks, hospitality they can’t be beat, and a general manager who runs this place with his team to perfection. We had only one complaint; that we had to leave Tasmania and this fabulous place.

Excellent luxury experience! Rooms were incredible and a highlight. Super comfortable, large bathroom with storage areas. All the details you would expect at a luxury resort (stocked drinks/snacks/housekeeping) We greatly enjoyed walking to the beach (5-10 minutes). Activities were great, we did the boat tour, I was a little nervous as we had our toddler, but it was a super comfortable boat with plenty of space and very safe. Food was incredible, great a la carte options, lunch was slightly more casual, but still very delicious, and I kind of liked this as it felt more relaxed and friendly. Fixed tasting menu also available at dinner if desired. The Hospitality of the staff was top-notch, everyone seemed genuinely excited you were there and made every effort to help with any needs or requests. This is the epitome of luxury hospitality, genuinely good attitude from all staff and efforts to anticipate needs. Never did the staff seem too rushed or busy to help us. I wish I could put the names of the wonderful staff members who helped us, but I don't remember them all. Promote! View is beautiful. Resident devils were fun to go visit/watch. Only suggestion would be an additional functioning high chair as there were 2 available and 2 toddlers, one didn't have a tray, which we were given so we couldn't really use it making meals a bit more hectic. Not really a kid-centric place (this is obvious based on the price), but small families with 1-2 kids would be fine. We loved exposing our kid to the beauty of the views, nature, beach, and just playing in our room. All the staff seemed to like seeing our kid and were so friendly to her. Thanks for a great stay.

If you read no further, just finish this sentence: I've traveled the world over and Saffire Freycinet now tops the list of favorite destinations for the following myriad reasons. The three most important aspects regarding real estate: Location, Location, Location. Okay, well, at Saffire, add this: accommodations, accommodations, accommodations; dining, dining, dining; hospitality, hospitality, hospitality! My "mate" and I enjoyed a superlative time at Saffire from the moment we walked into one of the most breathtaking vistas I've ever seen in a hotel/lodge. It’s such a shame we didn’t plan at least 4, although honestly, we could have spent a month here. It was so magnificent, calm and serene and the unlimited food (everything included in the price) was divine. But what really made this location shine were the people who worked here. Across the board, we were made to feel like we were visiting friends, not bunking at a hotel. I am so, so happy that my Aussie friends from “Melbin” suggested going here. We spent two nights (way too short of a stay) and did adventures like donning a bee-keepers uniform and holding honeycomb from a 40,000 beehive, as well as taking a 12-mile hike into unspoiled landscapes and pristine beaches where we were the only one's swimming and frolicking on the beach. We met adorable Barney the Tassie Devil (and "adopted" him to help save the Tasmanian Devils who are on the verge of extinction due to a rare face cancer), saw wallabies in the wild and feasted our eyes on nature at its best. Our accommodations were just perfect. They are all in a line, all with views, and nothing in front of you to block the view. Floor to ceiling windows afforded a morning awakening like no other. We opted for the plunge pool, which is really a big bathtub, but well worth the extra dollars for relaxing under the southern hemisphere stars. The products in the room were heavenly, and we had a full kitchen stocked with everything we could possibly want and more. We don't drink, but if you do, this is paradise as everything is included and they stock expensive brands of everything from champagne to wine to hard liquor. We wanted ice cream, and they added it to our freezer, they gave us gifts and took care of absolutely everything. I'm sitting in my home in Los Angeles writing this and wondering how quickly I can get back to Saffire, a magical, enchanting and magnificent paradise on earth.

Saffire is a wonderful hotel located in a stunningly beautiful place. Everything about it is perfect, from the first seconds as the doors swing open into the stunning foyer to the the final seconds as you drive away, it is a magical experience. The rooms are beautiful, the food and drink is great and the complimentary experiences so enjoyable. Best of all the staff - so friendly and relaxed yet thoroughly professional and helpful. For us this was a very special treat and we would recommend it to anyone. It is pricey but I feel we got maximum value from our money and would return in a heartbeat. Well done Saffire team, we had the most wonderful time

This was our second visit and again really fabulous. The service and atmosphere is wonderful. The food was spectacular - do opt for the degustation every night, it is wonderful. As before, we liked hiking, biking and the devils. The new experience for us was the beekeeping. It was brilliant - the attention to detail was exceptional and our guide was interesting and funny and generous with his time. I’m sure there will be a 3rd visit on the horizon!

Saffire is one of the best resorts I have ever visited. The setting is absolutely breathtaking and allows you to immerse in the natural beauty of Freycinet. There has been so much attention put into the design of the rooms making them very enjoyable to inhabit and watch the drama unfold out of the huge windows. Then there is the food - absolutely outstanding. The quality and diversity of locally sourced ingredients matched with incredible creativity result in a highly satiable and enjoyable culinary experience. Service in all parts of the resort is immaculate and you really do feel the centre of attention and very well looked after. I cannot recommend highly enough and would love to return soon :)
