Excellent location in the Belgian Quarter, the nicest district in the city. Excellent beds, nice kitchenette (only boil eggs in a large soup pot ;-)), spacious room, clean, neat bathroom (water pressure very low, shower with a faint trickle). There was a lot of noise on the street at night until 5 am, mainly from nightlife crowds (and also traffic). Below our window, there are benches on the square under the tree, a group of young people with liquor bottles, loud voices and regular music from ghetto blasters, both nights. We hardly slept a wink for 2 nights. That's why we left for home on Sunday instead of Monday morning. The front rooms should be less expensive for this major inconvenience. The room was way too warm, so we wanted to sleep with the windows open, but that was impossible because of the noise. We turned off all the radiators, but that hardly helped, there is no air conditioning. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper (and some that was still on an opened roll) for 3 nights for 2 people (folding). That is far too little! The coffee is not drinkable, luckily we brought our own Nespresso cups. It would be useful if there was an extra shelf under the sink for the toiletries. The radiators in the hallways were also on full blast, way too hot and a waste of energy! The entrance and stairwell look shabby, the corridors where the rooms are located are neat.

We kozen voor een niet terugbetaalbare optie (doen we inderdaad nooit meer - les geleerd, want een ongeluk schuilt in een klein hoekje) net voor kerst (een datum die dubbel zo duur is uiteraard als een ander moment), en toen had m'n man onverwachts een ongelukje en moesten we die geplande datum naar het ziekenhuis. We stuurden een bericht via Booking (want echt bereikbaar zijn ze niet, je krijgt meestal niet meteen antwoord) en vroegen of we konden opteren voor een andere datum, alle data waren goed voor ons. Dit weigerden ze tot tweemaal toe. Toen stuurden ze me dit bericht: "Hello, we could cancel as exception the reservation and refund 50% of the booking and keep the other 50%. But unfortunately it´s not possible to change the dates of the booking now. We are looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, limehome." Alle begrip; oké, ook al verloren we al de helft mochten we toch een andere datum gekozen hebben, want na kerst was het de helft goedkoper het verblijf. Toch, mooie geste nog, gezien het niet terugbetaalbare aspect dus ik reageer en ga akoord. Dan hoor ik ineens niets meer van ze, en dan ineens weer een bericht: ach sorry, maar we rekenen toch het hele bedrag aan, gezien jullie niet verbleven hebben. Ineens is er geen sprake meer van de helft terug te betalen. Ze zouden anders een klant gehad hebben die nog voor hen zou geopteerd hebben, want de formule sprak ons aan. Jammer wel, nu zien ze ons NOOIT meer terug. Wat een vreselijke communicatie. En geen greintje menselijkheid. Wat was hun slogan ook alweer? Oh ja, "we host with heart", juist ja. Niet dus. Beste mensen, laat je niet vangen, kies een verblijf waar je verwelkomd wordt door échte mensen met een hart, niet voor Limehome. Ons zien ze nooit meer terug.
