Das Hotel steht in einem ruhigen Umfeld. Ab und zu hört man Fluglärm. Allerdings mangelt es an Dämmung im Inneren, die Zimmer sind also hellhörig. Unschlagbar ist der Blick vom Frühstücksraum auf den Rhein und das hier grüne Rheinufer. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist gut sortiert. Ich vermisste allerdings Flöns = Blutwurst und Leberwurst, eigentlich ein Muss in Köln. Unser Komfort-DZ hatte leider keinen Rheinblick. An der Einrichtung des Zimmers zu kritisieren ist, dass der Kleiderschrank keine Wäschefächer hat, die Sanitärkeramik schwarz ist und man daher nur hoffen kann, dass sie gründlich gereinigt wurde, die Badezimmerlüftung laut ist und lange nachläuft, was stört. Am Waschbecken vermisst man beim Schminken und Rasieren ein Licht, das am besten nicht mit der Lüftung gekoppelt sein sollte. Besonders unangenehm in unserem Zimmer war, dass die Duschtür dort undicht und somit das Bad nach dem Duschen unter Wasser stand. Die Betten sind ordentlich, haben für jeden zwei dicke Kissen. Überflüssig sind die beiden Deko-Kissen, bei denen ich fürchte, dass sie nicht bei jedem Gastwechsel gegen saubere gewechselt werden.
