Manipati Hotel in Colombo, an old house built in 1906, was once the private residence of the Correa family. Stepping into the hotel, it feels like traveling through time and space, and deeply appreciates the texture polished by time. The hotel cleverly retains the original colonial architectural details and historical and cultural atmosphere. The hotel has only a few rooms, and my room was unexpectedly upgraded with a small garden. A chair and a small coffee table in the corner became a good place for me to read. In the morning, squirrels jumped between the trees, green parrots played on the white walls, and I enjoyed a quiet time in the swimming pool in front of the door. Thank you!

This hotel is small and intimate with gorgeously appointed rooms surrounding a courtyard and swimming pool. Originally a private house for 5 generations of family and now an elegant hotel. Staff are kind and friendly. Rooms are luxurious. Meals are taken in the garden and the menu is excellent. Couldn’t ask for more!

What a wonderful stay! We arrived at 4am after 20 hours of flying and were so happy to arrive to this little gem of a hotel. The service was warm and friendly, the bed was cozy and a/c worked like a charm! Our rate also included a terrific breakfast. Highly recommend!

Superb location, lovely setting and truly lovely service. Great air conditioning, food excellent, quiet, pool warm! Spa cheap. A very welcoming place. Room spacious. tuk tuk is 2 dollars to anywhere. Great cappuchinos. Will come back again.

A delightful oasis in the middle of Colombo in a quiet street. Beautiful old merchant's house filled with antiques. Lovely courtyard with pool and charming attentive staff. Unusual menu and delicious breakfasts and best coffee in Sri Lanka. Rohanes the masseur, was outstanding!

What a gorgeous boutique hotel in the heart of Colombo. You enter the stunning hotel into a beautifully furnished lobby lounge area. Stunning dining room off to one side. I'd love to have eaten there. Beautiful tranquil courtyard with small, welcoming swimming pool with loungers on one side. Lovely helpful staff and delicious food served in a dining area off the courtyard. The rooms were gorgeous and also just off the courtyard. Beautiful sumptuous beds, tastefully decorated room, thoughtfully stocked mini fridge, quality linen and mosquito net, good lighting and quirky, partially outdoor, bathroom divided into three sections (almost like a stable block with wooden separators between the shower, basin and loo). Just a great amount of detail. A perfect place to end our Sri Lanka holiday. Ended on a high note. An oasis of calm!
