Hotel Es Blau des Nord

Really nice boutique hotel with a quiet location right by the sea, but still only a 20 minutes walk into Colònia where you can find a number of restaurants and a small beach. Hotel rooms are standard, but nice and clean. Hotel has a pool and it’s easy to access the ocean. Extra plus for the really nice and helpful staff.

My wife and I stayed at Es Blau Des Nord our first week in Palma and we loved the place, so much that we did come back for our second week of holiday. The place is right in the beach, calm and quiet. The rooms are big, clean and quiet. The breakfast is amazing with a wide variety of choices and food. The service is also excellent. There are also a lot of activities you can do, such as renting a paddle board or a kayak. Highly reconvened

I had the first experience in a hotel. To begin with, when I was reserving the car, I called the hotel to see if they had chargers for electric cars and they very kindly confirmed that they did. Out of 6 nights, only one night they let us charge the car at the electric car place. First thing in the morning we asked if they could save us a few hours or to charge the car, then we called the hotel to ask for the place on the way but they never let us charge it again. We lost vacation days due to your disorganization. the wifi that he claims to have The hotel is not real either, you had to work and you could only commit at the reception, in disaster. And as if that were not enough, we arrived at 12:30 a.m. on our day at the beach, since we spent hours looking for car dealers on the island and when we tried to go up to our room, our keys had been demagnetized. We stayed outside, the phone number was not answered and there was no one available to ask for help and to give us the correct keys. We wanted to come here to enjoy a quiet vacation and it was an experience to forget. I would never recommend this hotel, a shame

We spent an amazingly, relaxing weekend here, right on the shore with a view of the bay. The staff is delightful, helpful and easy going. The room was simple, comfortable, and quite. Wonderful food.

We were so disappointed with this hotel. Being 'well travelled', we have certain expectations of what a 4* hotel should be. As we arrived we could tell that the location is more remote than we understood it to be. The car park is very small and was full. We had to park some distance away in a street which had ongoing construction projects to initially off-load our luggage. Our room was large but sparsely furnished. No full length mirror in the bedroom. We had cups but no kettle or tea/coffee facilities? The sliding doors to the outside garden were broken and failed to lock - which left us with no security. The hotel temporarily remedied this issue by jamming a length of wood into the door frame. In addition on turning on the lights to the room - the main fuse tripped which we made the hotel aware of. This continued to trip every time we turned the lights on. This was enough for us and we checked out after one night stay (due to stay longer). It is more shabby than chic and compared to other hotels we stayed in during our visit to Majorca - we struggle to understand how this has been rated a 4* hotel. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel which was all very average and nothing special. You are very close to the sea wall so the sound of the waves crashing against it doesn't help if you are a light sleeper. Generally very disappointing and would not recommend.

Spent 2 nights here, as part of a cycling trip around Majorca. We left with mixed feelings about this hotel, overall it was fairly good. We had room 6. The good, the rooms had everything you needed, aircon, tea/coffee. A roof terrace. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and whilst sparse was modern. On-site, was a free laundry room, with washing machines, washing tablets etc and drying facilities. Someone (staff, another guest?) very kindly brought in the drying rack with my stuff on which was left outside drying, in the sun when we went out, when a torrential storm hit 5 minutes before our return, which was thoughtful and most welcomed. The staff were all very pleasant. Outdoor eating environment is relaxing with views across the bay in the gardens. The food was reasonable. The not so good. Access to the rooms, was like going into a block of flats. No lift, not easy with luggage. The bathroom was tiny, grim and in need of refurbishment, I hope whoever tiled or masticked wasn’t paid for the bodge effort! The shower, ( over a bath type) took ages to get warm water, which felt like a terrible waste of water. The hotel is situated in a residential area, other than the hotels own bar/restaurant the nearest other alternatives are about 25 minute walk away. Overall not a bad hotel, for a couple of days, offering most practical requirements, but the general layout and room we had just didn’t feel like a 4 star to me.
