Hampton Inn Colorado Springs-Airport

I don’t understand how anybody could be excited about this place. The staff was nice and the breakfast was acceptable and the coffee was definitely good. Having a comfortable bed without sheets that smell like fabric softener is a pretty big deal and this hotel had that which was great. However, the air conditioning and heating system was very dated - with paper taped on the thermostat to tell me to use the manual controls on the air conditioner…which was barely able to blow air. The other mismatched furniture was well-used as well. I don’t know how anyone could consider that this was recently remodeled. The bathroom felt to be beneath the expectations of a Hampton. The wifi simply didn’t work. The lobby certainly does not feel modern in any way. I was depressed by it at first sight. I would stay here if I had to again but it definitely wouldn’t be a choice high on my list. I am sorry if I hurt anyone’s feelings at the hotel for giving a truthful review like this, but it was certainly not a positive experience that I’d like to repeat.
Hampton Inn & Suites Colorado Springs-Air Force Academy-I-25 North

Stayed here with family for the Air Force Academy graduation. We had just stopped at 2 other Hamptons on our drive out. This was my least favorite. The people working are extremely nice. I have a feeling the manager is getting a bonus for money saved on the little things. For example, they will put out one type of creamer for the coffee each day- just one. They put out ”fresh” cookies each afternoon - hard as rocks (we were there for 3 days) and the only option was macadamia nut. There were numerous small things like this in the eating area. They were ”out” of regular yogurt, cream cheese, butter, you get the idea. However, they did have cute graduation decor in the lobby, and put out small individually-wrapped candy in a bowl (also a snack mix, which was just loose in a bowl for everyone's hands to dig in- no thanks). The 2 people working the breakfast area were wonderful, especially the tall gentleman- he kept up with everything! Since I had just been at 2 other Hamptons, I noticed the difference in the napkins, cutlery, toilet paper, tissues, etc. It's just a little bit cheaper/rougher. Unbelievable that you can have 2ply TP that you can still see through. The location is absolutely fantastic, one exit from USAFA, easy on/off the interstate, and there are tons of meal options around (although we mostly ate downtown). s/o to Shauntece, the front desk manager, who helped us get our rooms straightened out! Overall, I would recommend for location and staff friendliness.

Hampton Inn & Suites Colorado Springs/I-25 South

This is a really nice property and a highly recommended place to stay. Everything about our stay was great from start to finish. Very comfortable beds, lots of hot water and a good shower with plenty of nice towels. I was really surprised to have daily maid service, which seemed like a distant memory for hotels. The only area of improvement might be the ”hot” breakfast items...especially the sausage gravy which was a mix and did not do much for me. Everything else was as expected and the coffee was very good. Definitely would recommend!
