Con Dao Island Hotels with Bars

As a loyal fan of Six Senses, I first learned that Six Senses is through Kunshan. The two-bedroom villa on the beachfront has the same view and pictures. In addition to the two spacious bedrooms, there is a very large living room. The swimming pool is also a bright spot, which should be about 20*5. It can be said that it is very high grade. The hotel enjoys a vast private beach. During the National Day, the beach can be left empty and quiet. The number of breakfast items is quite good in the resort, but the quality is very good, there is a special Vietnamese breakfast, it is very popular for the people, and the special cold room of Six Senses stores fruit ham and yogurt. The dining in the hotel is not expensive. The chef communicated with the shrimp, orchid crab and a kind of fish. With the Vietnamese style, there is a plate of fried vegetables, which are very delicious. The average per capita is about 250. It is much cheaper than what is in the Maldives.

We had a great trip! The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable - they organised a sunset view tour for us, the hotel food was amazing (great breakfast and lunch) and they accommodated for us as we are vegetarian. The room was extremely comfortable with great sea views! The staff also recommended some great restaurants in the town for dinner - some of the best food we’ve had during our stay in Vietnam! Thank you for a memorable stay that we will always remember :)

This is not a resort, it is a hotel on a lovely beach. There was not even a banana chair in sight or anything else you might relate to a resort. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow and they are in serious need of a huge overhaul. As for the beachfront, it needs to be cleaned up, and de-littered. I’m sure the breakfast was probably good in Vietnam terms, but as everything else was so shabby I couldn’t bring myself to eat it. Con Dao is a lovely little island and this place is a disappointment.

The hotel has potential, however ”the boss” (who controls the budget at the hotel: food/reparation/building...) should think more of the satisfaction of the guests rather than profit: We picked 10 nights in December: a Triple Family Room at Orson Hotel ”4 STARS” (1 adult/ 1 young adult / 1 old adult and disabled), we do not recommend to families (+3 people) wishing to stay LONGER THAN 3 DAYS Some of the rooms start to degrade and are in poor state (lights not working, mold, paper wall peeling off, safe not ready, power outage that makes other issues such as A/C not working anymore,...). There is a safety risk/bad design in the bathroom, food at the restaurant is totally overpriced for lunch/dinner if we stay at this place for multiple days. For the moment, this hotel feels like 3 stars (negative 3 stars due to safety issues in the bathroom/the state of the hotel), but if the boss of this hotel will take note of this review and improve the hotel in the future. It might be better for the next guests. A complete feedback has been sent to Orson in December and I really hope Orson will understand the issues I've got. Again, I would like to remind that all the staff at the Orson hotel are very kind (reception/cleaning/restaurant/manager), the problem is ”The Boss” of the hotel, because of that I had to talk with the staff multiple times because of the issues I had in this hotel. I do hope there will be no problem with the staff in the future, I did see they work properly as intended. Please note this review is for the triple family room only, this means other kinds of rooms might be normal or OK : for example solo/couples only staying 1-2 days. FINAL NOTE: 6,5/10 Notes: Family Triple Room: This type you receive might be in bad condition. We do not not know if it's the same for the other types of rooms. Hotel might take more care for solo/couples type room than family triple room. Activities : There is NO fitness CENTER, there is only 1 thing for fitness (train your arms) and it is put outside. It is possible to rent motorcycles. Swimming pool is OK, and is cleaned properly by the Orson staff Safety : Please note power outage happens at night between 1-4 times for 15-30 seconds (it also happens the morning but this is not important) , it might be VERY DANGEROUS TO TAKE A SHOWER as the floor is VERY slippery when wet. Please note there is no emergency lights in the bathroom in case there is power outage. In case of multiple power outage on the same day, A/C might be not working for a few hours in your room. In case of only 1 power outage on the same day, A/C need to be enabled manually via remote after power outage and can be enabled after 2 minutes. Accessibility: Wheelchair is OK here, you can access everything except you cannot access the beach (however, you can view the sea with the wheelchair) Restaurant Orson : Food is not worth the price, and is overpriced. Not recommended to go at their restaurant if you stay more than 3 days.

Quiet, beautiful beach, spiritual and healing area, I go every year to rest and burn incense for the graves of Ms. Sau and the soldiers. The food is delicious but a bit more expensive than in Vung Tau, probably because Seafood brought in from Vung Tau costs more, but is very fresh.

We loved our stay and room (superior double room) so much, that we kept postponing our check out date. Lovely clean room with nice decor and warm lightening. Bed not too hard, not too soft. Shampoo, soap, towels, toothbrush and blow dryer provided. In order to reduce the use of plastic bottles, there were free water refill stations in the lobby ＜3 The receptionist is very sweet and helpfull, thank you for everything! ;)

The location was secluded annd quiet area with big beach. Shuttle services from/to airport are convenient and just 10 minutes away. Restaurant menus include local and western selections; all the food we had was well prepared and delicious. The staff members were polite, kind and helpful (Minh Anh and Dang Nguyen were specially helpful). Most of the serving staff spoke English very well. Even we were boating, a staff member took time to take photos of us. They offer complimentary hiking which took us to a breathtaking view of the ocean. The rooms were spacious and well taken care of. We would love to come back that we didn’t know it was a windy season that we could not swim, but still enjoyed the resort and the island.

Отличное расположение, до пляжа три минуты, до рынка 10 минут. Тишина, даже если окна выходят на основную улицу. В отеле можно заказать кофе, пиво, воду, ближайшее кафе в 50 метрах. Хорошо работает кондиционер, есть горячая вода. Минусы: уборка средняя, некоторые номера требуют ремонта. За такую стоимость - отлично.

The hotel is well located, in a quiet street not far from the beaches and supermarkets, surrounded by restaurants and the night market. The interior is decorated with great taste, the photo frames of Côn Dao and Saigon of yesteryear add to the decor. The room is well equipped and clean. The buffet is appetizing and varied. On the terrace, the bar is pleasant and the whirlpool pool is relaxing. The staff is friendly and attentive. Just 2 things to review: - More room access cards would be desirable if necessary. - We often hear the barking of dogs throughout much of the night.
