Stayed here as part of a Secret Escapes package, never again. Very basic room, pool closed due to huge fungal growth, it would have been nice to swim at the end of a long hot day. Room clean but very noisy as all 18 rooms arranged chalet style in a terrace round a courtyard . All noises from neighbours are audible, and tvs from both sides deafening. Hotel itself basically a hall with one helpful staff member at breakfast each morning, otherwise empty. Breakfast itself very basic and mostly sweet tarts and not replenished if you choose to eat later, but excellent coffee. Fridge in the room but no tea/ coffee making facilities. We arrived at 8.30 at night just as staff member was locking up, I guess we would have had to sleep in the car if we had arrived any later.

Rooms are nice and comfortable and cleaned daily. The upkeep around the swimming pool is a bit disappointing and few of the staff speak any English. We were also disappointed that there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms. Also though breakfast is until 10 when we arrived at 9:30 there were no glasses for the juices more any plates and although we asked for them they never arrived

Having travelled quite significantly I have to say this hotel is in the bottom two! Firstly the hotel was booked based on pictures via the internet. Sadly they were very untrue. The pool had been drained and was inhabited by frogs and spawn and the room so so basic. No tea and coffee facilities, two single beds pushed together, and extremely dated furnishings. Staff at a minimum however those based on reception were very very good. The breakfast offering very basic indeed, hardly anything available.

We booked this as part of a Secret Escapes package. The reviews we read were mixed, and in particular the staff have come in for some criticism. Our experience was totally to the contrary. We found the staff professional and polite. Very good hosts. In particular, the night porter Luca managed to somehow feed us when we first arrived at 11.30pm, long after the restaurant closed. He's a special guy. The room was impeccably clean. Recommended!

This is a really tired and dated hotel by today's standards. Externally it looks great, but internally it is very basic. A few details about our room; Hardly any plug sockets Air con either on or off (no options) Wifi wasn’t working in bedroom, only reception/dining room (Room 206) TV not working. Asked twice - fixed 2 days later. No wifi so no Netflix etc. Noisy fridge all day/night Shower jets don’t work but instant hot water Other points; Very basic breakfast - don’t expect eggs of any kind! Remote location - a car is essential All staff speak very limited English, if any No one at reception Sunday evening or at 7am next morning. The breakfast guy took 1/2 hour to check us out due to the language barrier. Swimming caps needed for hotel pool €4 each from reception Best bits; The restaurant was amazing. Fabulous food and wine. We were given free 5-course meal on arrival (drinks not included). Lovely pool. Gets noisy though when the local kids arrive. Suggestion for hotel; Provide some guidance for international guests in the form of a small booklet (in a few languages) in each room.

The hotel is very quiet, excellent staff both in the restaurants and at the reception. It has free private parking that gives a lot of peace of mind. The rooms are very large and correct with a very equipped bathroom. The breakfast was very good and the restaurant where they served excellent lunch and dinner. A la carte dinner with well-prepared, wonderful food. The restaurants are run by true professionals. It won't be long before we return.
